Suggestion for an early introduction [Early access]
DBFlyguy replied to falcon_120's topic in DCS: Eurofighter
Anyone asking for another "early access" module after all the headaches of the ones from ED really needs to have their purchasing privileges revoked. Seriously. HB and Deka are how you do modules, get them to as complete as possible then release them, not rushing things out just to feed the "Gimmie gimmie" crowd who will literally buy anything. I swear some these folks would buy an early access paper airplane if ED released it :no_sad: -
Now your just believing in fairy tales... especially when any type of warranted criticism/critique is magically deleted
-
False. They've been extremely mum on details on this module until folks ask them over and over again then they act like they are doing us a favor by being as vague as possible providing very little details. This "newsletter" today was more of the same.
-
x1000. Seriously. Comms on this have been worse than with the Viper. Seems like communication is going backwards once again. The module is supposedly less than a week out and there are still tons of questions unanswered questions by actual ED staff.
-
Yeah, I would really like to see Brown shirts during start up as well as yellow shirts directing you to catapults.
-
Well... It's good to see ED can actually get something out on time and functional when they are actually motivated to do so... that's a win I guess :dunno:

Razbam's facebook page today (27/Mar)

A finished Harrier and M2K.

The video is titled "Supercarrier Preview Video". Can't tell if your being serious or just trying to troll....
-
1:00 minute mark, clearly the HB Tomcat....
-
People need to stop trying to rush to the defense of ED and let ED answer valid questions for themselves, I swear some folks act like their children are being insulted.
-
Take a look at what the HB team is saying in the F-14 forums. There is a major disconnect that needs to be addressed. There are still issues with the ED default carrier and the Tomcat. this is a ED issue, not Heatblur.
-
Actually it is pretty black and white. Either the HB Tomcat is fully compatible with the Supercarrier module or its not. The Tomcat has been in EA for over a year. ED has been taking money for Supercarrier preorders for months (which includes people who bought it to use specifically with the Tomcat) but chose to hold off telling Tomcat customers until very recently (yesterday) about the issues with compatibility. No issue taking folks money but when customers ask valid questions, we're in the wrong?
-
What are you basing this opinion on besides hope. As far as we know, the Supercarrier module may not even be able to launch or trap the HB Tomcat. Granted, that's admittedly a stretch (maybe) but seeing how ED had no issue releasing the Viper in the state it was... who knows...
-
It (the Tomcat) is a licensed DCS module, one of only two naval aviation modules that use a conventional carrier, it shouldn't be that hard of a stretch to think they (ED) would make sure it was fully compatible with the carrier they are selling ... Is this how its gonna be if we ever get any more naval aircraft for DCS, there will be a question of compatibility???
-
Yeah, I was considering the Supercarrier module but since they (ED) can't figure out how to properly integrate the Tomcat, its a hard pass. I'll wait for the Forrestal.
-
There are currently only two DCS pay modules that use conventional aircraft carriers in the game, the ED Hornet and the HB Tomcat. How was it not a top priority to ensure the Supercarrier module was fully able to use both modules? I'm genuinely confused...This should've been a top priority.
-
Whether or not real pilots use the A/G radar in the Hornet or Viper is absolutely irrelevant. We purchased modules that were advertised to include them, they need to be implemented as advertised, full stop.
-
Can't even start the game anymore since the patch, all of a sudden getting "Error Creating Process"....
-
They shouldn't continue to sell the product on Steam if they can't come to some sort of resolution with pricing on Steam. This isn't a new, steam has been around since the early 2000s, its a thing ya know. Also, they need to be upfront beforehand instead of just dropping a one sentence statement on announce day.
-
Nice job including this discount on Steam too, really stellar customer service for your steam customers....oh wait  What the actual hell.....
-
Or maybe some just want to know what it is exactly they are getting for their money. I know... such a weird concept ...
-
I want a list of exactly is missing from the EA release, not what is planned/subject to change. If there are glaring features missing (ie the optical landing system not being fully functional) I want to know that before I spend money on EA
-
Definitely agree!

Where exactly has ED shown they are able to handle multi-crew better than Razbam??? Heatblur is the ONLY developer that has competently done multi-crew to date. I'd rather see Razbam give it a whirl then have another module stuck in EA purgatory for 5+ years... the ED Huey still doesn't even have multi-crew functionality yet.
