  1. Thanks! I will give this a read for sure, just ordered. Another very good read (at least til now, I'm like one quarter through) is "Sweating the metal" by Alex "Frenchie" Duncan. He writes about his deployment to Afghanistan and it is very interesting.
  2. Same issues with the 2nd packages going straight to Syria... After dealing with "the issue" Pyro did not land. He just circled H4 on 6000ft, so I landed after his 3rd circle and finished the mission
  3. Dont you all agree that the F4, the Sinai map, Reflected and the Jom Kippur War of 1973 seem like a perfect fit for another awesome campaign?

  4. Any updates for the F4 campaign?
  5. How to change Mag in the M4? Or is it only one Mag?
  6. Same. Complete desync when in MP
  7. Honestly: It is just a blast to fly. Will there be missions and campaigns? I dont know, but I enjoy this bird a lot.
  8. Maybe he complains that it is a scout aircraft and therefore we don't have that much gameplay on DCS, since every other aircraft has a tgp for its own and can carry more weapons. On my end I can't wait to multicrew this thing and find and laser targets for fixed wing or apaches. And regarding the flight model again: I was also like "What? No way. This handles way to easily" Then I checked Casmo again and he says, that this is very realistic. So why shouldn't I trust a guy who flew it in real life? This also makes me fully understand why Casmo says that the Kiowa was his favourite aircraft to fly. It is just a joy to fly!
  9. Good work, Polychop! Awesome module, really a lot of fun to fly and a very well made aircraft.
  10. Check CasmoTV on Youtube. He flew the Warrior in RL and is very happy with the flight model.
  11. I second this Having Jester as a "spotter" during engagements would be a big help for SA!
  12. Thanks, this is good news! As I said in my first post: I love the Phantom, and now I know it will only get better
  13. True. The other tries I made were more precise.
  14. Yes the context action is the only really new feature. The rest feels like a step back, to be honest Edit: Also the missing ability to enter digits via headtracking is a huge factor in VR, and I miss the Que Eyeball for the pod
  15. Hi guys, first off: I like the Phantom. It is a joy to fly and very well made. But where is the step to Jester 2.0? For me Jester in the Tomcat feels much better than the one in the Phantom. For example Jester in the F4E is not able to aim GBUs - he was able to do this in the F14. Also I tried to implement a waypoint from the map via Jester. He was 90nm off... Maybe I had to high expectations, but somehow Jester 2.0 is not really 2.0 for me...
  16. Hmm... I tried the Shrike with the 49 Mod 1 Seeker against a SA-8. I was in "Direct" and "Arm", Stations selected, Masterarm on, AG. Even though the SA-8 fired at me with me pointing straight at the site I did not get any tone... (the lever in the back left corner was on full). Tried several attemps and switched bands but this didn´t work either.
  17. Hi guys, when you unintentionally disconnect during AAR you have to cycle the refueling door to closed and back to open again. Just wondering if this is the same in real life (and would like to know the reason for this) or if this is a bug.
  18. Ok, but hitting the text box with head tracking is a bit tough... Hope the implementation for VR comes soon.
  19. Hi all, stupid question, but how do I enter coordinates or a laser code into the Jester wheel? If I select lat/long it shows a field to enter everything. But how? In the Tomcat there was selectable digits around to choose from the wheel, but not in the F4. Same with the laser code. It says enter 4-Digits, but how? No additional and selectable field appear. Keyboard doesn't work as well ...
  20. Thank you! Edit: @Tomcatter87: The above will get rid of the lag in the jester wheel while using head tracking
  21. Long press of the button for the jester menu closes the wheel as well, if that might help you...
  22. Very happy so far! Just did a small trip around Israel and some training missions. Only thing so far: The Jester wheel feels a bit "laggy" and not as smooth as in the Tomcat. For example when I open the wheel it takes a second or two until I'm able to select something. But overall I'm very happy!
  23. No, honestly I haven't been that vocal. You are right. I usually also stand on the side "chill, it's just a game". But ED is getting worse in that manner in my opinion and that is why I decided to speak up. Or can you tell me the last, flawless release in DCS?
  24. What's your point? All I'm saying is that the phantom seems to be ready. EDs patch not. So why are they delaying a finished product?
