Wrong file. This one is a leftover from lockon, just some lines are used from this one. All other setup is in \LockOn Flaming Cliffs 2\BlackShark\data\scripts\options.lua file.
-
That's strange. If you tried everything, the last you can try is to uninstall all (LO+FC2) and install them again (don't install FC1) and see what happens. Install FC2 in another folder than LO.
-
I suggest you to open a separated thread, that sounds like a specific issue with your installation/computer.
-
Ohhh shiny, thanks! very comprehensive and should be the same for FC2, even that /ka-50 folder for when the compatibility patch arrives. I wonder wich is the syntax to check a folder and it's subforders, perhaps puting a "/*" at the end? or perhaps by default it checks all subfolders?
-
Evil, is there any syntax to check a whole folder minus one file? or in this case you need to specify each file in the folder minus that one file?

Problem with LockOn 2.0 training video installation
Distiler replied to mika's topic in Bugs and Problems
Have use changed Windows versión or used a registry cleaner after you installed FC2? If that's the case, the most probable thing is that the installers can't see FC2 because it's not in the registry. Re-installation of LO+LO:FC2 might be an easy solution, other solutions are adding registry keys & stuff. -
Well that's true, didn't think about it. About the ERI radar mod I must admit I watch it with suspition lol but I don't understand it so I can't really judge. Home cockpits use export.lua perhaps, or it is just config.lua? Anyway, I prefer some restrictions than opening a can of worms (for open public servers that's it, in private ones you play with ppl in whom you trust) Any other folder or file susceptible to go to integrity check?
-
I'm all for that. Export.lua might be debatable (tacview uses it I think), but the other ones are no brainer. You should start a thread about an integrity check whitelist, to see if a common ground can be reached or at least to discover other folders to be checked, etc. just to reach a quality experience.
-
There is Su-25 and Su-25T, pehaps you have setup controls just for one of them. Or worse, perhaps you setup controls for one airplane, saved the profile and loaded it in another one, screwing some lua files in the process. A reinstall will correct it. Save and load profile is for backup purposes, not to copy the profile to another aircraft, they don't share all "actions" column.
-
I'm really a bit lost tbh. Don't really understand the difference between the built-in integrity check and what you're doing.
-
But hosts can add in that line whatever folder or file they want to be checked. Like: integrity_check = {"Config/Weapons"}, {"Scripts/Aircrafts/_Common"}, (I'm not sure the syntaxis is like that exactly)
-
What is the problem with the built-in integrity check? I don't fully understand the title. It can check files/folders afaik.

So, what was that made the miracle? Vista?

FC2 won't start, multiplayer displays a runtime error!
Distiler replied to Danwood's topic in Bugs and Problems
Your win7 might be a bit screwed (too much tweaking perhaps?). That dll is from Microsoft XML parser, you can download it from Microsoft website. Do it, then uninstall lockon, etc etc etc -

Distiler replied to Danwood's topic in Bugs and Problems
Well, I really suggest you to uninstall it all, install lockon then install FC2 and execute setup.exe as an administrator (not just via w7 tweaks, but by right click on it and "run as an administrator"). Be sure directx9c is automatically installed during FC2 installation. Also, search the forum for other alternatives to you same problem. -

Are you starting the sim via the icons or directly from launcher.exe or simulator.exe? (only will work via the icons) Have you altered propierties of those two executables? -

FC2 asks for any lockon 1.x. Even the original one without any patch works. I've edited my previous post check it line by line plx. -

Distiler replied to Danwood's topic in Bugs and Problems
Screenshot of the error pls, but others had the same error, search the forum. Are you starting it via the desktop icons or by double clicking the executables? Some tried to install the latest directx9c from Microsoft and worked. Also, you can try to uninstall all, reinstall just lockon (no need of flaming cliffs 1) and then install flaming cliffs 2 in a different folder than lockon (or in a subfolder). If you can, outside C:\program files. Also, always run setup.exe as an administrator (left mouse click, run as administrator) -
First one I think it's ok, but not sure 100%. The nose camera moves right and left, perhaps the tv just rotates the image for the pilot when the aircraft rolls (the nose camera also rolls). Might be a bug tho, dunno really. The second one, it works ok in my computer, whatever level of zoom I try (3 levels). I use keys.

You can't "save profile" in an aircraft an load it in another. You'll brake some lua files (reinstall the game if you did). In fact you don't even need to save profile, just setup it and click OK. Save profile is just for backups or for having multiple profiles. Even then, the saved profile identifies joystick axis, etc by an ID, and if you change Windows or even reinstall the game, those ID "might" not be the same again, as far as I know.

I think, on top of other things (defrag, updated drivers, etc.) it might has to do with vertical refresh and/or graphic triple buffering. Try to play with those driver settings and also limit maxfps to a lower value than the refresh rate, for example maxfps=40 in /config/graphic.cfg

No, things are not bad, in fact MP is way smoother than DCS:Ka-50 so something changed for the better. I played lots and lots of hours and had just a couple of ping outs. The thing is, my internet connection never went down (I was in TeamSpeak) and my ping stayed all the time below 100. This never happened with DCS:Ka-50. So, it's not bad but "perhaps" there something worth to look at.
