Did you, by any chance, "save profile" in one aircraft and "load profile" in another? Save and load profile is only to save different profiles for one same aircraft 8if you just use one profile, you don't even need to save it, just click ok). If you load in a different aircraft you just broken controls for it. Also, for saitek users, when you setup that command, if you keep the button pressed it just makes a "tap-untap-tap-untap" continuously so the sim doesen't detect it as kept pressed, you need to setup an advanced command so when you tap it it just says "tap" without any untap. Easiest way is to leave that command configured in-game and not via profile.

Weapon fire shoots guns, bombs, missiles, etc in russian airplanes. For F-15 and A-10 it just fires guns, to fire bombs, rockets or missiles you press weapon release. You need to keep them pressed down 1-2 seconds (except to fire the gun)

I very doubt it, except in a case in your W7 is not as tweaked as XP, or perhaps you compared average fps with v-sync in W7 (sometimes it doesen't switch off). Directx11 multithreading feature is the cause why Vista (+SP2) and W7 run this sim so fast compared to XP, even in a DX9 engine. Obviously the new sound engine loaded a bit other cores, but not that much. Would like to see low fps comparison. I bet XP are way lower than W7. High fps can be similar tho.

Thanks for the update! but FC2 version is not installing F-15-LOD2.LOM using Modman 7.2. Previous version was ok. PD: both says 1.01 version in modman, I'm a little confused

That is curious. Perhaps, the AI change makes you'r airplane ID different so the trigger doesen't activate. Don't know about trim down issue.

I feel like Falcon, being very old, is still a very good "emulator" when compared to DCS:Ka-50, that one being a very good simulator. It's like comparing a precise emulation of reactor thrust via numbering tables or numerology to a complex and realistic termodinamics, pressure, etc. system simulating the real Kamov engine/rotors. Just take a look how everything not just works, but it works because all systems in themselves is simulated to pieces. Lockon Flaming Cliffs 2 is a very nice simulator, but it lacks the knobs, switches and panels of a clickable cockpit you probably like, tho flying feeling in FC2 is better than Falcon (I mean, physics, terrain, etc). Su-25 and Su-25T fly model will blow your mind. You really need to compare Falcon to DCS:Ka-50. It lacks the incredible dynamic campaign, but DCS (also FC2) mission editor is awesome and it lets you create more complex scenarios. That's more about blast radius. Try to use blast-fragmentation variant of S-8 rockets (S-8OFP2) against infantry or no-armored targets.

You need all three files downloaded at the same folder: setup.exe setup-1.bin setup-2.bin Double click setup.exe and the installation will begin. Can't be easier. If some of the files is downloading corrupt, you can try to redownload it or download via torrent (all three files at once)

Heheh I've played some years there. Damn best sci-fi experience I've ever lived. But I needed a bit of leg stretching so I left. It's curious how flight simulator enthusiast usually play role playing games. My guess is that in rpg you lvl up your chars and in flight sims you, as a virtual pilot, lvl up with training, and that's kind of cool, see you evolve. LVL!

I don't have this problem but I'm using internal control setup. Could it be because external joystick profiler? you can try to delete assignement there and assign it just in the internal FC2 controls setup. A friend of mine had this problem and was somewhat related to a bad configuration in it's Saitek profiler (it was automatically asigning a release weapon push-unpush-push-unpush-push-unpush etc. for release weapons, he had to delete the unpush part and it was just a constant push while he pressed the joy button, this way worked)

The trim method is stored in \Ka-50\BlackShark\data\scripts\options.lua in the line ["altTrimmingMethod"] = true (or false) check if it's changing when you change it in options/gameplay UI. nah, it's just some mission here and there, but generally all mission use setglobal=true so they will take your game global settings. At first look, all F-15 campaign missions seem to be ok (setglobal=true) but some F-15 single missions are not (setglobal=false). Easy way to see it, open .miz file with winzip, view "options" file and check setglobal=true/false line.
