  1. I've played lots of hours there and I've never crashed and I'm using chatbox-size mod, F-15 by Gys, Simmod A-10a Skypat's package and 3GO Su-27 (separated, not the 3in1 pack). Route, you're using nvidia 197.25 instead of latest "final" release 197.13, might be because that? btw I also have a 9600gt
  2. That's wp3 in the editor because it uses the take-off point as wp1, but when you enter the cockpit lights are ok from pilots perspective because you don't treat airfield as wp1 (not from mission editor perspective). Perhaps I'm missing something?
  3. The funny thing is I have 200 and 250ms ping to 104 and 3sqn servers respectively. See that I'm asking this broadly, for others. Such a samaritan I am XD
  4. Yes of course asking authors is obvious. I was testing waters to see community response. I think it would be even in the interest of them to ask other communities (not all, just one or two) to run their missions if they have hosts in other continents.
  5. Yeah, some times happened to me. At times it was wind but at times is like the hud is stuck left or right.
  6. Yo. Nobody talked about stealing, we are talking reasonably here, asking authors. The fact of latency remains tho, networks are networks. We're talking about making the mission enjoyable to pilots in other continents in a way that doesen't "hurt" authors, in a consensuated and controlled environment. And I'm saying this and I have 200ms to 104th (quality experience when no 300-400ms pilots are there) and 250 to 3sqn (have not tested yet) so I'm one of those that more or less will be able to play even with ping limits imposed via Modman. So, I'm talking broadly, asking community. PD: 300ms ping and beyond, even without jitter or any packet loss, is a no-no for quality flight (formation taxing is a good indicator). In fact I would advise any server who uses modman to put a limit at 250-300ms, it would exclude people yes but it would ensure quality experience. You can have 30 pilots with 50ms, but if a single player enters there with 300-400ms the servers is gonna lag.
  7. Manual for the new navigation panel: http://www.alasrojas.com/2.0/index.php?id=402&lang=1
  8. Videos are here: http://lockon.co.uk/index.php?scr=products&end_pos=135 They are not included in the download version because it's more flexible this way. Mind you they are almost 5 GB so if you don't want them, don't download them. BTW, Su-25T videos are up!
  9. You don't have a default entry but you can "add" it as Ethereal said, pointing to LOFC2\bin\x86\stable\simulator.exe Also they look different because some changes, AFAIK, in haze. DCS:Ka-50 uses more haze and FC2 less (speeds an altitudes of flying are very different)
  10. Another option that I've missed in the opening post is something like designating and "official" mirror in another continent or in the other coast (so you reduce the spread to just two servers). I would really like a server in EU with missions from some of USA based squadrons missions. Damn west coast, why don't you put it in east coast XD. Also mention that there will be those that overlook anything and just put up the server without consulting, but many of us respect the work of others authors and ask first.
  11. The strange thing here is the need to reboot after installing FC. I didn't reboot, even when asked, before update starforce versión. In fact I've read if you reboot, problems arise. Try to uninstall all, and reinstall outside /program files and run setup.exe as an administrator (right click on it, etc.)
  12. Hi! Given we have some very good missions around but sometimes hosted in distant places meaning high pings, I ask wich is the community stance about allowing other public servers host their missions. For example, I really like 104th missions, 3sqn new missions seem very nice, but to both servers I have barely acceptable latency, being both at USA west coast and me being in EU. The problem is not just my experience, but when somebody with very high latency (like 300+) enters a server, it struggles syncronizing and everybody lags. So what is the stance here? no problem? keeping credits (well, that's obvious)? no way!? can we translate them (to spanish for example) Thanks! PD: I guess for private servers there is no problem at all.
  13. Everything works fine here, both torrent or separated files. Might be something wrong on your network. Look, this is the download page for english version: http://lockon.co.uk/index.php?scr=product&ProductId=6&end_pos=135 You don't even need to be logged to download.
  14. Have you downloaded three files and put them in the same folder then executed setup.exe? Best way is to download via torrent.
  15. Are you empty of activations? to ask for more you have to deplete the clip. Anyway, go there: http://forums.eagle.ru/forumdisplay.php?f=38
  16. Very little antialiasing there and a lot of zoom so fps will be high of course. Can you use control+break to show fps pls.
  17. If you press "back" button when the server list is being populated, the game hangs. EDIT: will test without mods (have just f15, a-10 and su-27)
  18. Wait a minute wait a minute, I just had an idea. First, open revanche02.miz (in missions/campaign) and see what is inside: some custom files from /scripts and /config. Those files settings are forced regarless your own files, at least in single player. So the hipotesis is: make a multiplayer mission and insert the files you want to force upon all clients, regardless their mods (or even clients won't need to install them)! for example rearm, FUI, etc. Even customized ones (imagine you want a specific and limited payload selection from maintenance menu). And all this with a minum integrity check needed! Will it work in multiplayer? o_O Testing with a friend that uses a modded rearm menu. EDIT: not working, neither in SP or MP, but I suspect I'm doing something wrong.
  19. Sometimes, if you're router assigns ip to computer via DHCP, one might think that always will have xxx.xxx.xxx.002 but sometimes it gives you another one. Worth a check. Another thing is some routers have firewalls. "Open port" usually means letting something go through it. What you're looking for is not to "open" a port, but "port forwarding", different things.
  20. What about subfolders? are those checked by default, do we need to add them one by one or can we need to add a "/*" at the end to check all the files in the folder and all the files in subfolders?
  21. Different logins for forum/DCS:Ka-50/Lockon sites. No worries at all!
  22. You can also watch the videos from outside the game. Just go to /training and open them with you'r favourite videoplayer.
  23. To Pressing, you said DCS:Ka-50 was cracked in 1 week...precisely! that was the first version shipped in Russia and it didn't use the activation Starforce, but the classic Starforce protection. Since then, all DCS versions have been using the activation scheme, with much succes according to ED. Also, classic Starforce didn't let you do even a backup of your own disc! on top of that, if you search the internet, you'll see customers HATE the classic protection scheme.
  24. Yes it works (I don't have trackir).
  25. Look at the controls pdf, perhaps you thought Num. was an abreviation of Numlock, but it is not (tho it's easy to be confused at first look): Key "." from numerical pad to start/change padlock (Num. - cycle padlock) "Numlock" key to disengage padlock (Numlock - stop padlock)
