  1. Hi heatblur, I have a few questions for you in regards to button binding. I am building an f14 simpit, making a life long dream come true and it’s largely thanks to you. I’m building it off of the buttons i can see in the in game cockpit instead of some of my reference material as they have from time to time differed, different models of cat etc I have noticed that some of the switches in game actuate but don’t have a button bind for them, so my real world switch cant actuate the in game one. Eg the hyd isol switch or the launch abort switch and a few others, fire extinguishers, fuel shutoff etc You have done such and amazing job making the tomcat so simple to set up in a simPit I’m just wondering do you intend to have a key bind for every switch in the cockpit? Also will all switches in the cockpit work eventually? Ie the 3 way hsd mode switch or the ecm over ride switch which are currently bind able but don’t seem to do anything as yet I’m asking with the knowledge you are working very hard and are making something epic and that good things take time. I’m not trying to rush you or anything just wanting to know how far I will be able to go with in game button binds in the future so I can continue work on the pit knowing that the features will be on the way Again thank you so much for all your work with this module, I can’t tell you how amazing it is to be able to do this.   2. Oh wow that would be amazing! Can you also let me know how high it sticks up too please? Dude that’s pretty cool to have a quadrant, ever thought of using it in game? Use an interface board to get it in game?
  3. I’m building up a sim pit and I was wondering if any one knows the distance the flap lever travels from fully up to fully down. Also, the flap handle, any idea on dimensions? Cheers guys

  5. Same thing that happens here. I agree it’s most likely now on the list but it would be cool if ED could just let us know that there aware of it. Just for piece of mind
  6. I have been going through my detections and I have also found another DCS.exe detection, this time from another different IP address than the first one with the port 51331 detected as SPAM. another inbound connection this one 4 days before the new compromised ones what is going on?
  7. hi there I have the "DCS Open Beta Server" installed on a separate server computer Over the past few days, my malware bytes anti-malware program on my server PC keeps coming up with a "compromised" detection on dcs.exe. it says its an inbound detection and that it is compromised, it then takes the action of "blocking website" I can see the IP address that it's on and the port is 51582. the IP address is not the same as the server address the file is the correct address for dcs.exe on my computer I had 4 of these detections happen in the space of 20 minutes one night then only 1 the next night dcs.exe and dcs_updater and the entire DCS program files folder are already in my allow list I have all the files should you need them. I guess what I'm asking is, is this normal, is this a false positive or has my DCS server or server pc truly been compromised I should add that this server pc is just that a server pc, it has DCS and IL2 servers on it and the basics for windows + antivirus etc. nothing else. I don't use it for anything but the server hosting. I had even formatted and reinstalled windows 2 weeks ago to get it running as good as it can

  10. how do we add more parking spots to an airfield, we have just captured Kutaisi hoping for more parking spots, it only has 5 apparently, I happen to know that Kutaisi has more than 5 parking spots so hao do we change it? I have more than 5 friends who want to play this campaign with me but can't because we can only start with 5 aircraft

  12. Interesting that it’s the same pilot number for both of us. I should make a point that this is a clean install of the server, I was running the server on the same machine and it changed and kept the server host name just fine. But after doing a SSD upgrade and a full reinstall of windows I re installed this instance of the server and now this little bug is happening if that’s any help? Also the name I’m trying to put in is “NZArmA” so nothing crazy, worked fine last time

  14. hi there, I'm having a bit of a weird issue at the moment, I change the server "host player name" but whenever I restart the server it defaults back to PILOT_655492, what is going on, how do I fix this? it didn't happen in my last server build
  15. And there on the same version (beta or stable) and you’ve confirmed that your ports are open through canyouseeme.org?
  16. Have they tried direct connect? Give them the ip from the server including the port number. Sometimes my friends have to connect that way Thanks mate :) This is why I didn’t take it down, even tho I’m embarrassed by the mistake if it helps even one person it is all worth it :)
  17. I can confirm that my problem is gone. Wrong install was the culprit I was tired, stressed and worst of all rushing to get the server up for my mates and I installed the wrong version. I’m not a great reader and I also didn’t have my glasses on so it was really a comedy of errors that led to the problem. The big lesson here for me is to slow down and take time to get things right the first time Now with the correct version installed all is well Any time you can learn from a mistake is a good thing. I’m embarrassed but pleased I stuck with it, solved it and learned a valuable lesson Cheers guys :)
  18. Well, I think I’ve figured it out. I can’t believe it but some how I mixed up the 2 installers. I managed to install the stable dcs server not the open beta server. Like I said it’s been a long day. I’ll reinstall it with the open beta and see if the problem goes away. I’m sure it will. Head is hung in shame right now. I’m highly embarrassed
  19. Hi there. I have had a hell of a day. I was running a server and successfully hosting the dcs server to myself and my friends. I repeat it was working fine on this stand alone machine. Serving missions to me locally over lan and to my friends over the internet. Cut to today. Why is not important but I had to format my server and reinstall windows 10. Finally got it rebuilt and installed dcs. Aside from a few admin programs like mbam and Dropbox dcs is the only thing on the machine. I booted the server, created the login stuff and got the machine ready. Added the mods and missions. Booted server. Server boots and I have access to the GUI. Everything is set up and the server is successfully running the missions Test time. Open dcs on my pc. Try to connect. “Server offline” Check ip and settings. They were correct. Remove server password just incase “Server offline” Asked mates to check. They all confirmed server offline when doing ip connect and could not detect it in the games list *IMPORTANT NOTE* All relevant ports are still open and forwarded as they where for the last setup I have been to canyouseeme and confirmed that both ports are open My friend was able to access the server GUI through the dcs profile and was able to work with the server. Reset it, change missions etc. Pc is set to private network and dcs server has been allowed through the fire wall (the one that comes up on install) I have also manually allowed “dcs updater.exe” through the firewall So my question? Why the hell is it saying “server offline” As I post this the clock has just Ticked from 11 hours work to 12 hours work. I’m out of ideas. Please help me dcs forums, your my only hope
  20. Hi there. Please forgive my ignorance on the matter but can someone please Explain or better yet show me the formations that the ships in the carrier group sail in during launch and recovery? Ie. how far from the carrier and what bearing from the carrier should each ship be, and what kind of ship should it be in that position? This sort of stuff is somewhat hard to find information on, especially information relevant for dcs! At this stage I’ll use the Stennis but naturally swap that out when the super carrier is released Cheers guys
  21. cool, I've downloaded it and installed it and created a junction, this program is way easier than the cmd version! however... I can see the folder in Dropbox and if I move something out or into it, it works within the computer however Dropbox has a red x next to it and it doesn't seem to update across machines, any ideas on what to do? this would be so much easier if I could just point the server/DCS to the location I wanted EDIT: HADENT READ @Rudel_chw POST CORRECTLY needed to put the missions folder in the dropbox and the junction into saved games! and because surely I can't be the only one whos an idiot here's my step by step STEP 1) Download and install this (thanks for link @panton41) https://schinagl.priv.at/nt/hardlinkshellext/hardlinkshellext.html STEP 2) Move the "missions" folder from saved games to the application of choice (dropbox - my choice, One Drive or iCloud or whatever) STEP 3) go to the folder you want to link ("missions" in dropbox) Right Click and choose "Pick Link Source" STEP 4) navigate to your DCS Saved Games folder, right-click and choose "Drop As" -> "Junction" STEP 5) Crack open a drink and celebrate, Cause it's done!   23. Hi there. Is it possible to move just the server missions folder? I know it’s possible to move the whole save games folder but that’s not ideal for what I need to do. I run a server and myself and some of my friends make missions for it, i run a Dropbox file that they are all connected to, so they make a mission, stick it in their Dropbox and then it pops up on the server Dropbox, I then have to move it into the saved games missions folder manually before we can play it. I would love to take my step out of the process, so that they can upload it to their Dropbox and it pops up in the missions folder. To do this I was planning on moving the missions folder directly into the server Dropbox. So they can upload into it then use the web browser to add and start the mission without me being there to do anything at all I can’t move the save games folder into the Dropbox because it’s too big, so it needs to just be the folder the server/web GUI sees as the missions folder. Is it possible? Or does someone know of a way to do this another way?
  24. ^ this, x100, I run a dedicated server and would love to get this going but there is sweet bugger all info out there also, why can i not resize the program window, I'm up to "mission menu" but there is no way to see the bottom of the list to do the next step
