I use mbam, I’ll give the safe mode thing a go. It’s worth a shot, the biggest issue is that nothing other than dcs has changed and altho it does happen in single player it’s horrific in multiplayer. But eliminating everything possible is a great start.

I just don’t know what’s causing it, my set up is by no means at the high end but it’s also not the lowest, and as both of us have said it wasn’t happening before the last updates. The strange thing is that it seems to go away if I just leave it there parked in the jet for long enough before I start to ay the game. I had no trouble last week with it, it was on the same mission doing the same things and everything was fine, this week it’s back. There has been no change to the pc or the game in that time

Hi there. I’m having a weird issue with my dcs, it seems to be intermittent in nature some nights it’s fine others not. The issue is that the game does these little mini freezes where every 10-30 seconds (in multiplayer) it does a little freeze maybe 2-5 seconds then it comes back and then we go through it all again and so on and so on. First off I have not had this problem before, only seems to be from the 2 most recent patches that I’m having the problem. I have the game on an ssd, graphics configured for performance and enough ram, and I’ve never had the issue before as I said. I have also tried repairing the game and doing the metashaders and fxo stuff too. The server I’m playing on is a server machine that’s next to my machine which I lan too and all my mates connect to, they are not having the issue on their machines Some times it happens some times not. It seems that of I boot the game up and leave it sit there for 30min to an hour it dosent happen but it does if I just boot and play, It is most noticeable in mp where it happens every 10-20 seconds, It does happen in single player but the time Between the occurrences is a lot longer I’ve tired everything I know, now I need your help, what’s happening and how do i fix it?

Ok cool, the profiles I have are modified capt zeen one’s, mostly cropped and resized from his ones to better fit with my cockpit set up. I have no custom .lua’s or anything just his profiles with the images cropped and resized, everything else in Helios 1.4 is completely stock. If I understand what your saying that should mean I can just upgrade to 1.6 and keep using is as Is until I can modify his new profiles, is that correct?

Will 1.4 profiles work with 1.6?

I keep said bone next to me in the pit and have been known to throw it at him on numerous occasions. That’s why he has a helmet

It seems to be related to the speed you give him the jobs. If you give him multiple commands but wait for him to do them before you give him the next one there’s no issue, if you go through and give them to him fast sort of stacking them for him to do the issue happens

I will try to re produce it in the next few days. I’ll try record it if I can, I do know that this is the 3rd type of mission it’s happened on

So I’ve noticed this a few time’s over a few months. I hadn’t seen it happen in a while so I thought it was fixed, however, it happened again today. If you are on the deck (haven’t tried it airborne) and you give Jessie to many tasks to do, he forgets how to put in map markers as waypoints Eg. Loaded up, taxing (either to a cat or runway) start giving him things to do. First I enter target area map marker as waypoint 2 (works) Then... (In quick succession) Datalink E3 CMS flair to normal. Radar range 200 CMS jammer to transmit Take off Oops I forgot to set waypoint 1... ...Jessie set waypoint From map market... Waypoint marker drops at point the aircraft is on, not at the map point on the island that I can see that is 70nm in front of me. Could be a glitch, Jessie pull your head in and try again. Same behaviour. Ok Jessie we’ve been here before.... I’ll delete the map marker and put in a new one, nope same thing happen. Ok Jessie when we land your going to explain yourself to goose. Goose wasn’t angry, just disappointed This is the first time in a long time that I’ve experienced this glitch. Anyone else had it? Or know how to fix it?

Thought so. To be clear, civilian aircraft were ai neutral side Me and my friends where the ones who shot down the civil aircraft, they (neutral air) were not engaged by any ai units on either side They showed up as enemy on the in game f10 map Jester and awacs designated these aircraft as enemy So we engaged. I had just expected them to show up as grey for neutral in the map which is why I left them visible, makes sense that they are bugged

so stoked to finally have a neutral side available to use in the editor, I built a mission with the civil air mod that had civilians flying around in airliners, to try to simulate busy threat airspace so the guys would have to work hard to detect and kill the baddies who were using the civs as cover. yea that didn't work. many many civilians died. turns out while they show up on the editor map as grey they show up in mission as red, combine that with the iff returning as enemy and it was a slaughter. I only have one question why? why make neutral aircraft the colour of the enemy? I don't know how the civilian iff system works so I can't speak to that but why are they enemy on the map? the premier of Australia was on his way into the area for an important diplomatic mission, all he got was an ammram to the face an emirates a380 was swiftly reduced to a collection of parts by a phoenix the virtual death toll when all kills were tallied was in the 1000s the virtual mass media are running round the clock coverage of the massacre why ed why?

Hi there, hopefully this is the right place for this but since the last update I am getting strange freezes in multiplayer, last week it was freezing and unfreezing every 5-10 seconds or so for about 15 minutes then it seemed to come right. Last night however it just didn’t stop, it just kept going, I have made no changes to any of my settings in game at all. I Cleared my meta and fxo folders and that did nothing Did a repair and that also did nothing I’m not really sure what’s happening, anyone else had this isssue? I was in the f14 on the Caucasus map both times. Dosent seem to effect the sp dogfight mission in the f14 but the mp mission I was playing was awefull. No one else on the server was having the issue

hi @grimes since the new update that has finally added a neutral side, the mod no longer works and causes dcs to freeze, is there any chance of an update of this exceptionally handy mod?

Does anyone know if it’s possible to get access to the panel images inside the cockpit? I’ve been having some Success between trackir and view commands but I think I can do better if I can find the textures or images that the cockpit uses, I’ve had a look around and there’s a few locations that have texture folders in it, problem is that the .dds files don’t open for me. I’ve used .dds view and gimp with the .dds plugin but getting nowhere. Anyone able to point me in the right direction?

Hi there, I've been trying to install the new version and it keeps stopping and not instaling saying that a newer version is already installed, however, the installed version is not the new one I just downloaded through the auto downloader thing

I took a look at the file you linked me to and wow what a great reference! However that is the throttle, it doesn’t have any information on the f14 flap lever which is what I’m looking for. Unless I missed it? @punk, any updates? I’ll pm you later in the week as suggested if you still need me to :) I really really appreciate all your help :)

Yea I had thought that, the thread is a very long thread and I didn’t want to trouble anyone with my little question. It is also the thread that I used for all my reference material, I downloaded everything I could find and also pored over each one to see what it was. As per usual, there was many contradictions. So I figured one or 2 questions in a new post wouldn’t hurt. Aside from the questions I have about the flap lever I don’t think I’ll be making too many new threads for measurements :) The good news is that I cracked it. Well I didn’t a friend of mine did. He’s pretty good at doing the CAD so I hit him up about it. I sent him heat blurs 3D cockpit and he was able to make some measurements for me. The best part is that after making the modifications to the side panels everything else lined up. The panel pictures that I had got from the thread linked above, the lines on the panel layouts all lined up and everything looks perfect, so happy, because the angle i had them at was about 12-14 degrees and this is all wrong. According to the heatblur laser scanned 3D cockpit The side panels are at an angle of 24 degrees From horizontal They also slope down from front to rear at an angle of 7 degrees from horizontal The upright consoles are at an angle of 30 degrees from vertical Again these measurements were taken from the 3D model heatblur made and that we sit in in the game Everything seems to fit in perfectly now. However in future I will take your advice and just post in the thread that is linked above :) Thank you guys so much for your time on this

Ok so this has been driving me crazy, I have tried and tired to work it out but I’m just too much of a moron to figure it out, I’ve checked reference material even download the head blur cockpit scan thing and I still can’t find it, it may be the cad software I was using or my lack of knowledge of cad either way, if in doubt ask smart people. Please please please can someone please put me out of my misery what is the angle of the left and right side panels, it’s driving me insane, I’m about to start wiring them up and at the moment there at the wrong angle, I’ve managed to get the 2 upright consoles pretty perfect but the left and right side panels just aren’t. Please help me dcs forums. Your my only hope *leans forward and pushes button on jesters head*
