DCS DS beta has stopped working all of a sudden
PSYKOnz replied to PSYKOnz's topic in Multiplayer Server Administration
Problem solved, all it took was a complete removal and reinstall and rebuild of the server. -
Is it possible to get a clear and concise list of all the errors that may affect a server? i have had error 401 and I have seen people with error 503, surly there are more. I have looked everywhere on the forums, the website, the folders and the faqs and can’t find a list explaining what each code means and what the fix could be. is this a possibility?

that's strange because it's better than its ever been and easier to use too it handles all the trauma i put it through and doesn't cause issues with the export file and the other things that use it like sim shaker for aviators, are you sure something hasn't gone wrong in the install?

as the title says, my DS failed to work today, I don't know why its been working fine for months and all of a sudden its failing all the forwarding is still fine, the ds.beta boots fine but it just doesn't host, I can't see it on local GUI or my LAN connection to the machine I can see it on the profile based web GUI, I can see that it's there "Server #3484128---.--.---.--:N/A" but can't access it, just get server not responding EDIT: this disappears after some time I've done a big repair, make sure everything is up to date and pure still no luck. I've also rebooted my router several times while trouble shooting HERES THE LOG I redacted the IP addresses and have updated it since the original post as a new line has appeared Does anyone know what to do? I deleted that tableutils.Lua and repaired again and still nothing

Awesome, thank you for that, between the canopy shake filter in special options and buffet and g effect I was able to get it working just about spot on, turned all off then worked through each one on its own. Turns out g effect is almost allways going to some extent just like the buffet. Stoked to have a good setup now, now just to refine it! -

Yes, there was nothing to do with dashboard shake there, only canopy shake. Are you able to add the dashboard shake option for the f14 or is that not a possibility? -

EDIT: removed all my old post because... found the 2.0.5 Beta and am now running it. https://onedrive.live.com/?authkey=%21AB3fFPneMUkxlDc&id=AAE14DA560024F57%21112&cid=AAE14DA560024F57 however the same problem persists, I can see the option to turn off the dash shake under “generic jet settings” but it is not an option under “f14a/b” jet specific settings and setting it up under generic jet dose not affect it for the f14 GENERIC JET SETTINGS F14 A/B SETTINGS -

Hi guys, I posted this in the ssm forum, as I figured that it was a more appropriate place for it as the sound module is what’s doing the vibration but I thought I should post it here too incase it’s a ssa thing that’s affecting the sound module. If it’s not and it’s irrelevant please just ignore it :) Post is below —————————— im having an issue in the f14 where it's constantly spamming me with 19:24:2.971 Received: hp_5_0_x~1~6~1 dashboard shake. its just always going, no matter what speed or altitude I'm at or even if my dash is shaking in game or not. I've looked through the f14 settings and there is no option to turn it down or completely off its just ruining the whole thing for me. I'm at 20,000 feet, autopilot on, speed stable at 300kts and its just buzzing away, any idea what I can do to fix this? _ -
I’m totally happy with waiting for it to be finished, just as long as it does get done. All told I have approximately 256 inputs to bind, I’d rather not have to keep redoing it lol

AGREED, I've finished the functionality build of my pit with a lot of thanks to you by the way. I have every switch, knob and button that moves in the sim in the pit (4x bodnar bbi64 boards later lol) every switch in my pit moves and operates as the ones in the sim do, the only thing I'm waiting for is key binds to link them, I'm hoping to put up a post soon with photos etc, as part of the post ill put up a list of all the switches that need to be mappable and in what way, I'm hoping if I do that everyone inc hb will be able to see a concise list of what needs to be done or maybe a modder like the op can help out. if there is a list that has everything that should be bindable it should help everyone out hopefully :)

no problem, hope you find it usefull, let me know if you find any bugs!

Let me try clear things up, I was as confused as you when I got into this so let’s see if I can shine a light on it... 1) hell yess it’s worth it, I have 1 but will be adding 2 more soon 2) here’s where it gets complex So, the bk gamer 2 or bk sim kit (the one I have) are bass shakers driven by an amp. I recommend getting the amp that comes with the kits as they have a remote that really comes in handy They are not vibration pads Best to have 2 sound cards or use USB headphones (this leaves the onboard card to drive the bk) They are fed from the audio outputs of your pc You can just plug them in (through a splitter) and the normal sounds of the pc make the bk vibrate, you will need to set up a low pass filter (I use voice meter banana for this) if you are just going to run it through the audio jack alone. This is how I run mine when I play ArmA The bass shakers are hardware driven by the pc HOWEVER The utter legends Andre and f410 have made this program for us and it’s epic. This is a software that drives the bass shakers in specific ways to achieve the effect Sim Shaker for Aviators is the base program. You will need this. But this only drives vibe pads this one is free You will need to buy Andre’s amazing SSA Sound Module/plug-in to make it run with dcs. You have to buy this one however there is a free demo version available that you can use to test to see if your set up is working This module/plug-in is downloaded and installed as an extra program and run when ssa detects dcs running Note, ssa wings is not for dcs, you will need the sound module The reason is that the sound module (to my knowledge) takes the export info from dcs and plays an audio file to make the bk vibrate, mimicking the seat vibe pad things. In the paid version you can adjust the differing levels of the different sound files that the program uses You do not require either of these programs to use the bass shakers you can just drive them off the standard audio output, however every sound and noise will be played inc radio, jester, beeps and notifications the lot. ssa and the sound module will not play every sound rather it will only vibrate when something is happening to the airframe and thus be feelable for the pilot. It’s the only way to play dcs with the level of immersion it yields I’ll admit that I found the whole setup quite confusing, especially doing my research before purchasing but after receiving my bk sim kit and started working through it it all became clear. It is completely worth it tho, the bk sim kit and g2 are essentially the same thing just different ways of going about it, one clamps onto the seat post the other mounts directly to the seat ssa and ssm for dcs with the bk bass shakers it is simply amazing Hope I cleared it up for you some what :) -
hi there... well what started out as an air refuelling practise mission that the proceeded to get way way waaaaaay out of hand, I present yo you version 4.0 of the NZArmA training space. since it's gotten this far I figured it might be worth having a forum page on it, just in case... anyway here's the files https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3311635/ here are the training mission options available Release - the current public version with mods (A4) RF - Random failures on N - Night NM - The current public version with no mods currently, the only mod we use is the A4, because, RNZAF Skyhawk baby! this is an ongoing project that seems to develop sporadically over the weeks and months, ill update this thread when there are new versions available here's the briefing info to find out what we've got in the mission I hope that you enjoy the mission and can get plenty of use out of it, feel free to use on your own servers and tweak the aircraft and units in it to fit your purposes, I've spent a lot of time making this, the more people who use it the better and we all need to do training time to time so get out there and get amongst it happy hunting

I freaking love this program. I’ve got one bass shaker under my seat (custom built ejector seat thing) and will soon be adding another but kicker to the back board of the seat and a third one to the pedal box, when I get to a good point in my pit build I’ll put a link here. Basically this program has revolutionised dcs for me, so thank you a million times to the creators I have one question. I’ve been getting momentary pauses when I play the game, I think it’s a dcs thing cause it’s only started in the last 2 updates. I have another thread about that so don’t worry im not about to start here, I just wanted to check if anyone has had any lag/pause/freeze issues while using ssa and the module? Just thought I’d put a feeler out there and see And also. If you are thinking about getting this program and a bass shaker for your dcs setup You absolutely should. In a high g low speed BFM fight in a cat, feeling her shake and rattle under you while you try best your opponent is just insane
