  1. is it possible to have a neutral side by default without editing a .lua? I can set airfields to neutral but I can’t find any way to place neutral units, no neutral aircraft or ships or ground units anywhere, nothing. I've been hunting for a solution and all I can find is this post from 2018 https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=217549 And this one from 2019, https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=246847 it would be great to have a neutral side to add complexity to a mission, civil air traffic etc I know it’s been talked about a lot, any idea if this has been implemented yet? Or if there’s a working work around at present? Or even if it’s on EDs Radar?

  3. Is anyone else having trouble getting shot off the cat on the stennis since the last update? Last night we were trying to do a mission starting on the cv and no matter what we did 3 of us could not get launched off the cats, we tried everything and nothing worked. It’s worked fine in the past so I’m a little confused, what am I missing?

Tried this it does not work. here are my test results 1) hot start, engines idle: unable, they tell you to idle your engines. 2) Hot start, parking brake on, idle engines: unable, they say that they have no weapons in stock then tell you to idle your engines. 3) hot start, shut down both engines: "copy" then they rearm you that would be a good change to make!
  7. While yes it is realistic it’s also still a game. I don’t want to have to go through a start every time I fly it, i spend all day going through check lists I don’t always want to do it when I get Home. To save time in missions we often start hot and rearm then go. I understand the whole realism thing but sometimes it’s just a bit annoying, it’s not affecting flight realism so why force us to start cold and dark every time, let us rearm hot and then we can decide if we want to do it by the book in hardcore mode or not and just go flying, just my 2 cents But judging by other posts in this thread it’s a bug. Either way let’s see what the legends at heatblur do :)

  10. hi there, I was wondering if there is a way of getting a tanker to come to you in the mission editor, in most of our missions, we have a tanker somewhere near our AO so we can fill up when needed but some times for whatever reason some of us are a little too low on dinosaurs to make it to the tanker, it would be awesome if some way through radio or whatever we were able to call the tanker and get him to leave his racetrack and head towards up so we could tank, any idea if this can be done?
  11. I tried that and they still showed up in the threats and allies lists, am I doing something wrong? "hidden on map" seems to work but then it's not visible on the map which defeats the point of what I'm trying to do

  14. hi there, can someone please tell me what the big thick parts of the target track mean on the TID, they are shown in the centre picture of the image below http://media.heatblur.se/TID_Compilation.jpg I heard somewhere that they are firing range markers but not a single missile I've fired has made it to a target at the range indicated any help would be epic, I've looked around a lot and can't find anything that tells me what they are or how to use them, either that or my google foo is weak
  15. sorry let me clarify what I meant, I'm not the best at getting my words across, please forgive me when I noticed the problem I had had a lock on him as long as he was in front of me. in both the clips in the video I was trying to figure out what was wrong, picking up a lock, observing the issue then manually dropping it and trying something else to see what worked. also in the video, I posted I tried to keep it so it was showing you the behaviour of the crosshair. up until the point in the video where the issues started happening I had maintained a good lock on the target as long as he was in my cone, every time the lock dropped in the video it was because I dropped it on purpose by using the PLM button I fly with the warthog and i know about and use all of the lock-on modes depending on the situation I am in. I also am very aware of the difference and indicators of a lock vs no lock. I was using the lead computing sight in the dog fights because I wanted to make sure that when I locked him up the issue came through rather than just flying around with him locked the whole time with no pipper, the lead computing sight was at least somewhat useful, remember these videos were made during a dogfight tournament we were having, not a test flight hope that clears anything up to do with the target lock/unlocks, again I'm not great with written words and am sorry for any confusion I may have caused yea that was on purpose because of the weird pipper behaviour, as you notice as soon as I lock him the pipper just kind of falls off the hud, I was in an active fight, I needed to have some kind of sight, probably not the most useful for diagnostics hahaha

  18. I definitely had a good lock the whole time, I even broke the lock and required the lock several times in the course of the fight. I've done a lot of BFM stuff vs players and ai in the past and I've never seen the pipper act or move like this, very weird. again it was fine at the start of the fight, moved completely normally here's a quick edit of the 2 fights this happened in. take a look and let me know what you think. it could just be me being a muppet, but it really didn't "feel" right CAUTION: New Zealand accents and swearing...
  19. so I can use it to get the right engine to drink from the left tank if needed, is that correct?
  20. The thing that concerns me is that I don’t think I over g’d it, at no point did I start to black out or pull hard enough to stress the airframe it just stopped working, when it first failed I was pretty much in level flight
  21. Is there a way to get the fuel from one side of the jet to the other? I’ve had instances where I’ve lost an engine and flown home on the other one and only used the dinosaurs in the tank on the side of the good engine. I’ve had a look around but nothing has jumped out at me yet, any ideas?
  22. So I just bent it twice lol, brilliant, looks like I’d better do some more practice then Just to rule any variables out i was lower than snake, could that have been it? Ground clutter etc? I’m pretty sure I broke it tho Out of curiosity is there any way to reset or recycle the systems to try bring it back on line? Gloating to follow: I did manage to get PK using the default lead computing sight so I’m pretty happy with that result

Last night me and some friends did a mini BFM tournament and against the f18 I had a problem, I was all over him, spent the majority of the engagement on his tail within 1 nm most of it within .3 nm, at first all was fine but after a few mins there my radar gun pipper started to drift down and off my hud. At first I thought my radar was bent so I carried on using the lead computing sight. Second round the same thing happened, at first all was well but after prolonged lock time on his jet it drifted down again, afterwards I asked if he was using his jammer, he was, that made sense as to why it was playing up My question is, shouldn't the AWG-9 be able to burn through the jamming in that close? It seems to for all other aircraft I’m surprised that he hasn’t melted from being that close to it :megalol:
  24. hey guys, not sure if this is a bug or if my landings need some work, but recently, since the last update, every time I trap Jester calls bolter, it doesn't seem to matter which wire I catch either, anyone else had this?
  25. Hmmmm the only reason I ask is that the lua edit to get the rwr to function on a second screen is done through the RIO folder
