  1. Hello there, first off this is not about port forwarding or port forwarding help, I already have that set up and running perfectly. I would like to know if there is an outgoing port that dcs open beta server uses that I can use as a trigger port for triggering the other required ports in a port triggering setup im trying to sort out The HTTP and HTTPS ports seem to be the same as normal browser ports so I can't use those as other pcs on the network would trigger them Any help or guidance is massively appreciated, is it even possible for one haha
  2. same here (this has been repeated a lot in this post haha) I have something to add tho, it seems to stack, so I ran the f16 free flight 3 times each time the exports got worse, with more overlap, then I decided to try the tomcat and the f16 exports were still displayed, here's the screenshots
  3. Hi there As it says while installing DCS the dot net framework installer failed How do I go about getting it's installed?
  4. Holy crap davinci is so much better than HitFilm, it's just more complete all round, I'm slowly learning the new system, actually more the shortcuts than anything I made a very quick video to test it all out, very rudimentary but good learning experience I still have a lot to learn, but 1000 thank yous for putting me on to davinci!
  5. Sorr of thinking more like is the stock angle veritical or is it reclined back towards the pilot, not so much the kink in it but the actual handle at the top, ie is it like this | or like this / or like \ and if it is like \ is that 5degrees backwards, talking about the grip its self not the whole stick assembly I don't feel that I'm making much sense right now, but hopefully you can figure me out haha, also no rush, when you get there is when you get there
  6. @AusMumbles you don't happen to have the stick angle from the vertical do you? I've been trying to make everything fit and I'm wondering if the stick angle is 0 degrees vertical or if it's in relation to the pilots seat ie 5 degrees from the vertical
  7. Looks like for me it's best performance between 60-70 frames, seems to be stable aswell so that's really good, I'm absolutely ringing the gpus neck now haha, looks and works awesome now
  8. That's why I gotta get the angle right, once I have the angle I'll mount the seat on some car seat runners
  9. Dude truly thank you so much, time to get out the old angle gauge and start adjusting hahaha Yea I've herd over the years the saying it's job is to save your life, not be a sofa
  10. Awesome! I didn't realize that they sit up so streight! So that laser scan is accurate on both the horizontal and vertical axis I presume? Just making double sure cause once I get this thing angled correctly I won't be able to go back and change it lol, thatnks a ton for getting me that info I appreciate it very much
  11. Yea me too, the dev team are amazing and routinely go above and beyond with it, I've built an entire pit around it, easily the best mod I've ever seen for any game ever
  12. Is this mod still going? Still alive? I hope so cause it's filling a void that definitely needs filling lol
  13. Oooooooooooooooooooooo that sounds very much the good, I'll try it tonight and chime back in! I've played with it like this for years, now with these tiny fixes it's reinvigorating lol
  14. The funny thing is nobody know! It literally says it in the file So theres a line in the file that you can swap, you basically remove the -- Infront of the "non blocking" line and place then put -- Infront of the blocking line There's an image of the lines here The layout will have been changed a bit now but make a back up of the file and have a crack at it, makes a big difference
  15. Ok, so @MadKreatoris a legend. I used his tip after speaking to him and bluefinbima on their discord I thought I would document what I did to get it running great To be scientific and impartial as possible I reset everything to 0, reset all my Nvidia settings to default and I had recently done a reinstall so everything was good to go for a test, I also have a test mission that I use to max everything out and push the gpu to it's limits for a consistent repeatable test So what did I do? Step 1, open Helios and set the export rate to my refresh rate (60fps) Test Still not good, step 2 Go into the helios16 file and Comment out non-blocking and replace it with the way the code is short blocking time .001 sec or what ever it says Test Better but not perfect step 3 Turn on vsync IN DCS not Nvidia CP Perfect! that's it, no tweaking tuning in the control panel or any of that, just pure and simple those 3 things I should note that I'm using a 1.75 dsr factor setting and I'm also running sim shaker and not having any issues at all now The credit goes to all those who figured this all out, I've just put together what worked for me, hope it works for you!
  16. My crashes were in the tomcat and the viper, Unfortunately for me it was only a full reinstall that has had any effect *so far* I did find out that online seems to be much worse for it and the loading times are stupid long I put together a test mission, flew it, no trouble, all the gfx were there when I started it, I then loaded it onto my DS 30 seconds later I was in the same place, hit fly and it took a good 30-60 seconds to load everything, jet, cockpit, terrain, objects the whole lot, took an age considering it was instant when I played the exact same mission not 30 seconds before. Could that have something to do with it?
  17. So the reason I ask is, I was about to go and make one as true to life as possible but then I got lazy an found these https://www.jaycar.co.nz/duinotech-10k-ohm-slider-potentiometer-module/p/XC3734?pos=1&queryId=a8d61465f5e98bf18909ea19a7be4881 So now what I want to do is turn the nob into the same as the top of the 2 aforementioned handles just for fell more than anything else, I have some mates with a 3d printer so I have my fingers crossed lol
  18. Does anyone have exact dimensions of both the flap leaver handle and the wing sweep handle? Exact specs would be good but a 3d model would be epic
  19. That one was out of date so I made my own... Didnt realise there was so much, looks like the next step is to drill down and get the controller working
  20. I'm a bit shocked too, I was hoping for a lot more responses how ever I think this is one of the quieter sub sections In saying that thank you so much for your input it has been invaluable so far, I've made up a list of all the control options for the viers, have my DS ready and will grab davinci resolve and have a go
  21. Thank you so much, good to know that what I had suspected was infact the case, luckily I have a dedicated server to mess around on haha, as for the long hours of work to produce the stunning images, that's the part I'm looking forward to the most Also, as a side question, what editing software do you use? At the moment I'm using HitFilm express cause it's free, I'm open to suggestions for better software and I'm happy to pay for it, I just don't know what one is Good
  22. How do you create and capture your footage? I'm not talking about recording programs, I have that sorted What I want to know is how to get all those beautiful shots. Ive noticed that doing it live or making it on a server and then grabbing the servers track seems to be the only way that works as when you just grab a track file from a mission on your local machine you start in position but after that your unit drifts and the ai seems to do what it wants, I've played back successful kills to capture it and not only do the ai trash the missile but they shoot me down! So what is the best way, what way do you use to capture that stunning footage I've seen you all make?
