  1. Found the answer to my first question https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3320507/
  2. So, I'm trying to get more and more into filming DCS stuff just cause why not, but I don't really understand the keys and controls or how to use them past the most basic stuff, I was wondering 2 things, 1) is there a complete list somewhere of all the buttons and what they do 2) has anyone tried mapping them to an Xbox controller? Would it even work? I have plenty of experience with keybinds and the like so I'm not worrying about that bit, just would it be a workable controller for filming?
  3. That would be awesome! Yea so I'm looking for both the angle that the parachute pack and the angle of the seat back that the parachute attached too, if that makes sense lol, I guess same for the seat pan while your at it, thanks so much for taking a look at this!
  4. Does anyone know the seat back angle relevent to the vertical? Im trying to get my seat mounted but can't fina any conclusive numbers on it anywhere, to be clear I'm looking for the actual ange of the bit your back touches. If I can get that right everything else will fall into place
  5. Yea that's what I'm finding so strange, just corrupted out of nowhere, I tried the same approach but with less wisdoms, next time I'll check the event viewer for sure, In my case DCS is on a 3 month old NVME drive, which I checked and is all In perfect health, very strange indeed Best news is that I learned something useful today, using the event viewer! Thank you for sharing your wisdom! Next trick will be to try figure out what corrupted it
  6. Will do! For anyone looking with a similar issue, here's a time line and steps I took after DCS started up and worked fine this morning and worked great for about an hour, while I was building a mission, then the crashes started, they started when I went to fly the mission I was building on the Persian gulf map, it crashed once then was fine for about 10 mins, then crashed again, several crashes and full repairs later it just stopped functioning at all, I assumed something in the editor or mission file has messed it up, crashes every way of starting a mission, even instant action missions on different maps with different jets Steps I took after I posted the OP here, the idea was to try everything untill there was feedback here to see if I could crack it.. I sent every DCS crash report through the gui Tried 3 other games, no issues Deleted files to do with terrains and repaired, no luck Ran memtest86, pass Ran dxdiag, no issues Virus scan, nothing Removed GPU Over Clock, no change Backed up DCS files and then completely removed all traces of DCS Reinstalled DCS, this seemed to have fixed the issue Rebuilt DCS, still works Ran the Sfc/scan now, errors found and fixed So far DCS is still working, looks like the reinstall was the solution to the problem, takes bloody ages tho haha Hell of a way to spend a day Thanks to everyone who helped out with it too! I wonder what, why or how these things just corrupt, there must be something doing it surly?
  7. I wonder if the last windows 11 update casued the issues? Since posting the event viewer stuff I've done a sfc scan and it found errors and fixed them I'm a bit confused as to what's happened to cause the issues, seems all very strange Hoping someone here can shed some light on it

  9. Will do, In the meantime I did a full reinstall of DCS and that seems to have fixed it the issue, might have been a reinstall of VC runtime as part of the install that fixed it maybe? Ill post up a screen shot of event viewer shortly
  10. I should add I have tried repairs and they either worked once and then went back to the issue or didn't change a thing Does not seem to matter what jet I'm in Does not matter how I launch either, it won't load into mission editor or mission or even instant action Dcs worked fine on Wednesday but is not now, I was making up a mission when all this stuff started I really dont understand what's happening
  11. DCS.log as requested, heres the last log cant do a trk as I cant get bast the loading screen haha
  12. Hi there Today I started having a full ctd of DCs when ever I load a map, it seems to get to either routs or more commanly the terrain init navgraph then it freezes and crashes I've looked through the logs and can't seem to see anything glaring sticking out at me so I'm a bit lost, what part of the error log should I be looking at?
  13. I will look into that, is there anything that normally would or could delete it?
  14. Yep, same same That's why I thought it was weird, not done anything to change it
  15. Not that I can think of, I did unplug some of my controlers for a bit of cleaning but didn't play DCS while they were out, other than that nothing
  16. Oh sorry, I just re read that question!! Totally my bad there hahal I use the exit on the right hand menu to leave the game
  17. Sorry, I should have been more specific Im talking about the box that pops up for your user name and password before you get into the game, I've had mine set to remember password and auto login but every now and then it seems to forget my info I'm assuming that it's normal but this time I thought I would ask If there was an actual reason
  18. hi again, how come my DCS authorization profile start screen thing randomly forgets my saved data, is this a security thing or should I be worried?
  19. Ooooooook so, been a busy day... I've removed 8088 from my forward, I've also made my server private and so far I haven't had any of those blocks pop up and glasswire is muuuuuch quieter, only the main DCS host and the connected players on it now, so far so good I also posted in the MBAM forum about it, they scanned the IP addresses that i gave them and found that there is malware on those addresses, here's the link if your interested https://forums.malwarebytes.com/topic/288072-i-really-hope-these-are-fps-website-blocked-due-to-trojancompromise/#comment-1523062 They have been super helpful in the matter, hopefully everything is all good! Next up I need to sort the admin stuff, were getting there tho!
  20. Any of the Devs have any idea whats going on? i would be very interested to know if this is normal, or if this is most definitely not normal haha
  21. Awesome, I'll start there Is it possible to use the same ports as the game does? As in 10308 for both game and WebUI? Cause I have to have 10308 open anyway, less ports open is better I'm assuming or is 443 a better option?
  22. Yea, I'm thinking more and more about stopping the port for that. There isn't by chance a way to change the port to another one, one that's not likely to be pinged in the same way?
  23. I'll try grab Wireshark and try grab a packet some time soon, just out of pure curiosity. Wouldn't hurt to know When you say don't publish your WebUI publicly what exactly do you mean? Do you mean having your ports open or do you mean having your actual connection information free and available to be found? I'm so very sorry for all the stupid questions, this is all very new to me and I'm trying to wrap my head around all this
  24. When you say scan noise what do you mean? Is it the DCS WebUI doing scans or is it other sites or people sweeping through trying to break through?
