  3. Just an idea, I got sent this from another thing but reading through it I thought that it might be a cool idea for a future beta release. what about adding tomcat specific Callsigns? Hi there, finally got round to sinking some serious time into the mavericks, first of the bat, waggs needs to mention bore sighting the mavs in his maverick how to video, after I found the bore sight procedure much fun happened. but I digress, the real issue im here to report is that when doing a 6 shot mav attack on targets via the TGP the second maverick never seems to detonate. I have tried everything to get it to work but it won’t every time the second mav hits the target but does not detonate, I tried the attack 10 times and ever time mav 2 hits the target but does not detonate, I have all of them on video but I’ll save the drama, here’s the last time i ran the mission. Same results as the times before. here’s the video, it includes setup, launch and hits on the 6 targets
  5. bit of an update for you. I've now gone in and refined the SAM areas a bit and I'm pretty happy. I've set it up I a much better way now the SA5 is north east. what it means is that you can attack it on its own, or attack the Sam challenge on its own OR add the sa5 to the Sam challenge if you want it there, much better than it was. again this is a test build so give it a go, do me a favor and try out some of the new locations for the SAM sites and let me know if there are any issues you will require the A4 and the Civil Air mod NZArmA TRAINING - V11 PUB.miz

Please put in a way for us to tell jester to change priority/first/next target, I know you can manually go through the menu to do that but sometimes there isn’t time, I have been killed many times because I have 1 or 2 targets inside 30nm and he’s busy selecting the targets out at 60nm as the targets
  7. here is an insanely quick and dirty test build. BFM area and SAMs have been moved, please test - BFM area - all the moved test sites ( SA 2,3,5,6 have moved) need to test both attacking them and their effect on other SAM sites in the respective area - the biggest issue I can currently see is that the SA5 in its new location covers basically the entire area that the carriers are in, last thing we want is to be in the groove on approach for a 3 wire and then have to defend against an sa5 really need to find a better spot to put the sa5 as this is a test build it has not been "cleaned" you will require the A4 and the Civil Air mod, also the names and labels are more specific to the NZArmA crew not he generic user ones you will see in the official releases. there may also be little glitches and bugs in things so use at own risk let me know what you think and what you find. if its good I will tidy it all up and refine it a little better then do another official release NZArmA TRAINING - V10 - testbuild c.miz
  8. @Slice313the more I look at it the more I want to put the bfm area in the enemy air to air spawn location to the northwest, that way if you wanted to you could spawn a flight of baddies and take them on with the bfm aircraft, which makes sense and adds another dimension, however the problem then becomes the SAM placement. They would need to be arranged in such a way that they don’t have a fire zone overlapping the bfm area incase someone spawns in the sams and then later on decides on bfm without taking out the sams that affect the area, it’s really down to finding a place to stick the SA5 that bastard has such a huge attack range it’s silly, issue 2 for SAM placement is that they are All layed out in such a way that you can get to and engage any individual site without having to deal with another SAM site first. If we can solve that problem we can solve the bfm area problem. If we can find a layout that works I’m keen to do the big move
  9. As it is at the moment I have to do a maths to get my pylon weights. It would be awesome if under each pylon in the loadout screen there was a “pylon weight” readout that says how much weight is hanging off each pylon, this would be a massive help when loading non Balanced loads or loads with different types of the same sort of weapon or just to know in general where your weights are Just a number that is pylon + weapon weight as loaded would be very helpful then you could adjust things as needs be, surly real world they would know theses things as well right? anyway be a cool and helpful thing to have Cheers guys
  10. ok so I've done some testing, unfortunately I could not find the track of the flight i was having this issue with (I looked in saved games/tracks folder, is there another location??) however on the 2 test runs I did I was able to get it to work correctly, one with a slick jet and the other with the same load I had yesterday, so I'm not really sure what went wrong I did have trouble getting to the Helmet mark designation thing when carrying the loadout but once I got it it worked fine, no point uploading the tracks as its all working for me, ill keep running tests and see if i can figure out what went wrong.

Yea that’s been an on going issue for me too, at the moment there are a few issues, first is that the editor is crap at letting you move things, so when I go to move them I have to move each aircraft (or flight of aircraft) one at a time, then move there waypoints one at a time as well, I found a way to do it a bit easier using cut and paste bit it still requires a lot of work Second is where to put the area, I fully agree it needs to be moved and I’m happy to do it but I just can’t find an area that works, most areas are covered by the SAM ranges or by other things, aar or target ranges or the terrain is way to steep or undulating for a good bfm area. Third, my time is as with everyone’s is limited and to find a new area, test it and then make the changes requires time I just don’t have. HOWEVER if you would like to help me out by finding and testing an area I’ll absolutely get it done! if you (or anyone) can find an area on the map that is more detailed, has some undulating terrain but isn’t too excessive (we went bfm not hide and seek lol) and one that is clear of all other training things I’ll move everything there and get it all set up and ready to go let me know if your keen and/or how you get on
  12. While i think of it, is there a way to cut down the tracks? It might be a long one. I was buggering around for a bit trying stuff what I might do is re make it, I’ll step through the same steps and see what happens, if I can’t recreate the issue I’ll upload todays track. Don’t want to go wasting your time
  13. I’m using the helmet to make the mark, should I then select the tgp to cz it? What if I’m not carrying the tgp?

  15. now this may be a bug or it may be my sheer incomparable stupidity but how do I make a mark into a steerpoint? I've gone through and managed to make the mark point, I can see the diamond on the ground showing it where it is, all is well however when I select steerpoint 26 (the mark I dropped) it fires miles off the map, the gps coordinates for the mark are all messed up aswell, on the hsd I can see a little yellow marker where the mark is, but no steerpoint marker what am I doing wrong? how do I make a mark point into a steerpoint?

  18. Hi guys, did anyone else have issue connecting today? I had the whole “dcs website is down” thing, said I can only play off line, then about 10-20 mins later it connected fine, was that just me or did others get it too?
  19. I wanted to get 3 flights of 3 b52s to take off, form up, fly to a target area and attack 3 different targets at in the same area at the same time. What a nightmare I decided to run a timer whenever I was working on this, just under 13 hours work to get it close to what I wanted. even tho I set them all to take off immediately after the each other and gave them the same waypoints and altitude, they didn’t seem to follow it, flight 1 climbed to altitude as instructed, flight 2 climbed to altitude one waypoint after flight 1 and flight 3 was 2 waypoints behind. To get them to be in the same airspace at similar times I had to make waypoints in other directions so they could get themselves sorted then get together, even then flight 3 was at waypoint 4 before they were in the same area of sky, then they managed to hold in formation for the long bit of the flight, at the target more buggering around to get it to work. Setting a time to be at each waypoint did nothing, changing speeds manually did nothing, setting waypoints far apart and adjusting them was the most useful it seems that you have to be a combination of all options to get them to do it, I should be able to say. take off rally here (this is the moving waypoints around so they are close together down stream) be at this waypoint at this time. be at this waypoint at this time attack target at this time etc. either I’m doing something wrong or the system needs a bit of tuning.

Yea I was aware of that, I was just hoping there was a way to set a default setting for the server to have, i also know that if the miz has an enforced label setup it overrides the server, I was just hopping there was a way to get the server to default to neutral dot unless enforced my the mission
  21. I’ve done some looking and there seems to be a bit of info out there none of which makes sense to me, some are clearly out dated as well can someone please post a nice, easy to follow howto on enforcing a label setting (neutral dot specifically) on a dedicated server
  22. Awesome, so I’ve done all the things, I’ll test over the week see what Happens, if it does work, ill put up a new post with all information on what to do in one place. That way it’s easy for other to find!

I’ve been having the slow refresh rate issue for a few weeks now, I’ll give this setting thing a go before I go and edit the Helios 16 file, issue is I don’t have an “off” setting at all, I only have the following options - optimal power (nvidia recommended setting) - adaptive - prefer maximum performance I’ve selected max performance, made it for all programs too lol, I kind of figure that may be the same as off
