I’ve had this a few times in the zone 5 campaign, doing a assisted start with jester things go great then we get to a point when he just stops, he doesn’t do anything, you check for the last thing then thats it, you end up with the only options to “check” or “abort start” I thought he might be doing something back there so I left it, nope after 20 min nothing changes, no options to do ins or anything. Just stuck. Have restart the mission and do an auto start (bye bye immersion) to get it to work. anyone else had this isssue?
  2. Hi there. I’m not sure if this is the right place to post this but I looked in all the forum options and this seemed the most likely to yield results. I’m trying to set up some realistic carrier recovery operations, but I can’t for the life of me find any information on how the recovery tanker flys during recovery. I’ve been googling for hours and got nowhere, tine to ask those in the know! all I know so far is that it normally is up at about 6000ft i would love to know as much as possible about the flight plan. what height does it fly at what speed? does it fly a racetrack or a circle orbit, if it’s flying a racetrack is the long side of the racetrack parallel to the corse of the carrier or perpendicular does it even orbit over the Carrier or is it a distance off to the side or behind etc. any information would be gratefully appreciated, of course I’m sure that some information not available as public knowledge but anything that can be would be awesome, cheers guys

I understand that in the real world these buttons do not exist for the pilot but it would be awesome if we could have a key bind to tell jester to cycle through the tws targets he has. this would help when working in a formation to select a different first target of an approaching group of targets. For a simultaneous launch of phoenix from different aircraft. this would also be a good work around for not having the ability to pick a specific target in tws mode.

NAILED IT! no scripts, no extra work just using the triggers and setting available in the ME. its still very crude and needs a lot of tidying, but it works. chuck it in the editor or in sp missions, go to the f10 map, time advance (x20 seems to be good) and check it out again its not very refined at the moment but as a proof of concept its good CV71 operating with an S3B on a circular orbit at 6000ft overhead the boat and an E2D running racetracks around the group at 20000ft. no playable spots on deck at the moment, add them in if you like, make any changes you want, make it better, up to you, once I have it tidied up ill upload it to the user files I have text explaining what's happening when something happens so sit back and enjoy....   6. I have a plan…. I’ll check back when I’ve tried it out, hopefully I can get it to work and if I do I’ll upload a mission with it Before I start I need to know a few things. what altitude should the S3 be at what speed should the S3 be at how wide should the circle be What speed should the cv be going does it orbit directly over the boat or to the side? circle or racetrack?
  7. I need to find the names of a few objects (mostly hangars) how do I go about finding out what their classnames are? Ie what the game/editor sees them as? The building it’s self not just the parking spot

It would be great if there was an option like there is to “limit units by year” if they could expand that to “limit weapons by year” as well that would be awesome for mission makers, give us the ability to be able to build a mission without having to manually prevent people from using weapons from the future airbase by airbase

  10. Hey there, does anyone know if it’s possible to make an S3 do an orbit (circle or racetrack) around a carrier? Would be very helpful on those longer missions. I know how to orbit it around a waypoint but is it possible to make the waypoint a moving vehicle rather than a map waypoint?
  11. I did mine by using a spring return dual pole switch and setting it up so when the cover is down the switch is held in the odd position and when the cover is lifted up it springs up into the on position, then I put a push button below it to act as the acm jet button
  12. I was hoping for a more blanket option, one that does it automatically rather than me manually adjusting them, really don’t want to sit there looking up weapon first use times lol
  13. At the moment we have the ability to use the year as a limiting factor in what aircraft and vehicles we can place, is there a way to do the same for weapons and ammo? Just apply a blanket limit on weapons and there availability, it’s a bit un fun and really annoying when your trying to make a mission set in the 80s and one of your mates forms up on your wing with a few JDAMs or JSOWs

  17. How do you get jester to do that? Every time I’ve tried (put marker on the map, tell jester to input that marker point as waypoint, chose ip or fp) jester says ok but never actually does it, that method works fine for waypoints 1-3 but I can’t seem to get it working on the extra points

Yea that all works fine, I have no trouble entering the waypoints 1 through 3 what I would love to be able to do but can’t at the moment is enter the initial point, fixed point, home plate etc etc waypoints in game. Because it’s all well and good if the mission maker or yourself puts them in the extra options stuff during the build but it’s really annoying if the mission builder has just put in normal waypoints and they have not put them in the extra options. What’s even worse is when you join an MP server and have no waypoints at all and you want to plan an attack or mission before you take off. Currently with no access to the tomcat extra options or the extra waypoints in game you are limited to just the 3 programable waypoints, so you can’t really effectively plan a mission in multiplayer with fixed points, initial points etc it would be great if HB would give use access to be able to add and change these things around in game. Surly I’m not the only one who wants to be able to join a MP game and be able to plan and enter all the mission points?

Hi there, I was wondering how do I go about using the extra steer points in the navigation system, ive got the wp1,2,3 thing sorted and home plate is easy cause that’s pre loaded but how do I use the other ones? as far as I can see from what I’ve tired I can’t get jester to manually input an ip or other such point, so how do I load it and why can’t I get jester to do it? Am I doing something wrong with trying to get these extra points working?

  22. Oh also the emergency gear extend, at the moment it doesn’t work, sucks having to find the lever and right click on it when things are going wrong haha Still loving everything you do HB keep up your awesome work, road map looks amazing!!!
  23. Can we please have a way to up the brightness of exported displays for mfds and radar and the like. The exported screens are substantially dimmer than the display in game is, and before you say it, I don’t want to have to crank my brightness up on the monitor every time I play dcs and then turn it back down when I’m finished playing, a little brightness +/- line of code would be awesome to add into the lua to correct the difference in brightness
