3x on that campaign that was pretty CPU bound.... On VR right now in MP I get solid 60fps on pico4. No frame smoothing, Steam 150%, High preset DCS, no SS inside DCS. That's for me is a win! I used to drop to 20fps on 4ya servers with a RiftS

Huge fps gains on VR and campaigns. I used to not be able to fly most of them (4090 and 5800x3d) but I fired up Operation CerberusNorth first mission, on hangar with F18 and almost cry. 3X FPS! That campaign was unplayable for me in VR. Wonder what performance gains will get on MP. I'll fire up some enigma's or grayflag in VR to see... Congrats ED....Now I'd love my F15E please! Can't wait.

If you flight a lot in MSFS, 40 series card will make game so so much smooth with dlss3 it's like night and day. But in terms of fps, you won't gain that much unless you use 4k or more. I had 3080 and 9900k and upgraded to a 5800x3d and 4090 and I'd say, on 2D, there is not much difference in 2k gaming. VR or higer resolutions, that's another thing. I could not use apache on sinlge player most of the instant actions missions prior to change to a 4090. Also 5800x3d helped a lot.

I currently have the RIFTS and I am debating whether to buy a pico4 or wait for the next META, is the difference between a RiftS, with the SS at 2.0, and a pico4 much? I've been flying alone for a year on monitor even having 5800x3d and 4090, but in multiplayer in very populated servers there is no way to move or riftS, usually fall much fps. But lately I'm debating between waiting for the next generation of viewers or take the plunge and buy a pico 4. Thanks for your help.

I do get 90fps on every SP mission or campaign, using hp reverb g1 and balls to the wall settings(5800x3d + 4090). But,if I try that config on a mp like grayflag or enigma's server... can't even get more than 20fps sometimes. If you're on MP server or hosting a mp server, the fps loss is so high is not even worth it for now in vr (I'm talking about very populated and heavily scripted servers). I even used my old riftS and low settings but DCS is very CPU bottleneck, so I ditched VR for now on MP servers.

I must say congrats to Razbam....If they're able to take down ED server, I think they'll make more ppl to join DCS and DCS multiplayer so that's good for all of us.

fps (only map, no ground units, single player) and not free, NTTR > PG > SA. Then Syria,Channel and Normandy perform pretty much the same. In MP, best map still NTTR and worst is Syria. But, for me, best map is Syria by far. Not huge fps loss but the map is just awesome. Good for both helis and fixed wings.

Agree too....First time I had an turbine surge due to water ingestion I laguh then I crashed.... Pretty underestimated module.

Well, in my case I've always hated those gray icons. So I had to get rid of them. Jokes aside, some weeks I do more WWII planes, others more Cold War, then maybe spend month in the F18. In my case this is a hobby, it does not define my personality, nor do I have to prove anything to anyone so if I do not learn a module 100%, nothing happens, nobody will examine me. But If I decide I want to go full nerd mode, I can sit and read hundreds of pages,watch some YT vids.I also enjoy watching some twitch and see how ppl use some modules in pvp. The good thing is that you can try almost every module and decide if it's good for you or not. Like many people here, I like to think that I'm supporting the development of a product I believe in. When I stop believing in it, my time and money will be diverted in another direction.

That's true. Went from 3080 (10gigs) with 9900k at 5ghz to a 4090 with same 9900k. Most improvement I got is in VR, I can cranck up the resolution, it's like nothing for the 4090 (got same fps 4k dcs maxed out with the 4090 than 3080 with 2k montor and not high settings) but thing is, when I get into heavy cpu scenarios (carrier,multiplayer) I get almost same fps both 4090 than 3080. (frametime on the 4090 is way way lower, and ussage is around 30% where 3080 was 70-80%) Now, I changed 9900k to 5800X3d (same ram sticks at 3200mhz) and oh boy. MSFS and DCS went crazy smooth. Did get avg 3-5ms cpu frametime lower. Same in MSFS and ACC. On the other hand, I got almost same fps in other games like cyberpunk,bf2042 or COD MW. -
I think I'll wait quite for some time. I'm not a developer and can't tell you if this map is well made or not. But I'm a good customer. And I wont pay this price for such a low effort/work done per square km compared to other maps (and a double the price). Big problem here. Price. I'd pay 20 bucks no problem. But you guys are asking quite a big chunk for literaly nothing in most places. Please check out UK Ortho from ORBX. (North,Central,South) That's what 3years of work looks like.

Something is weird here. Some ppl just having a blast. Huge fps and all of that... and others like me who can't even fly in 2d. If I try to do the hot start on syria (2D and the one with the f16 taking off) If I look 90º left (where second AI apache is wating for me) DCS goes from 80/75fps down to 16 fps in a strange and sudden lag spike. I can't even fly that mission cause If I try to follow the route my fps are up and down like crazy (not even using FLIR) I'm using the High preset which was just fine for me even in VR. The same happened when Hind launched. I was unable to get more than 30fps in vr.
