It's not just CA: I'm having the same issue when strafing (at least with the Hornet and Warthog).
-
Check if the hot gun is unboxed. A/G, FLIR, master arm and whatnot don't matter.

Aerodrome Data and Frequencies - Updated 26 October 2025Minsky replied to Minsky's topic in General Tutorials Here's the final page in my new set called "Marianas Smart Pack": The idea of MSP is to allow you to takeoff, train, and return to Andersen in a fairly realistic fashion. I'm planning to release it in the coming days. EDIT: Finished and uploaded >> Download here

Aerodrome Data and Frequencies - Updated 26 October 2025Minsky replied to Minsky's topic in General Tutorials Making my way through the ILS charts. I've decided to skip the dedicated RNAV plates, as these approaches are unnecessarily complicated for DCS. What I did instead is augmented the ILS waypoints with coordinates. This will allow certain aircraft that don't have ILS (e.g. the Hornet) to fly a pseudo-ILS approach. Not realistic, but simple and efficient. Edit: And the final plate:

Aerodrome Data and Frequencies - Updated 26 October 2025Minsky replied to Minsky's topic in General Tutorials First of the four planned AAFB approach plates. Based on the latest Jepps (mil supplement) and sanitized for DCS. Edit: and the second one:

Aerodrome Data and Frequencies - Updated 26 October 2025Minsky replied to Minsky's topic in General Tutorials This is likely the final version of this page. I made two variants: The first one, based on the 13-204 document dated 2015, is very accurate but outdated. The second one is based on the latest Jeppesen MIL charts, Navy's MITT EIS publications, and a bunch of other sources that are up-to-date, but lack a lot of details. So I had to guesstimate certain things (such as the location of the AAR tracks and entry/exit points). It should still be accurate enough for a relatively realistic DCS training though.

Yeah, but the map itself is based on the post-2018 data (or even post-2020 if judged by North West Field). Marine's C Hornets were still training there last year.

F/A-18C Kneeboard Suite - Updated 23 October 2025Minsky replied to Minsky's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World Ouch, this is embarrassing I made that "anatomy" part years ago, likely based on the hoggitworld's data, and then just blindly copy&pasted it into this kneeboard. As for the colors, it means that if you have a friendly (or hostile) onboard track, the whole HAFU will be green (or red) regardless of the offboard status. Meaning, you won't see this in DCS (or so I think): I removed both images, and will rework them when time permits. Thanks for reporting this!

Проблем здесь две: 1. Название тренировочной миссии (CASE II) не соответствует содержанию (CASE I): 2. За без малого год вы так и не удосужились пофиксить подтвержденный баг в квалификационной миссии: Последняя англоязычная ОБ.

I wonder if they're still using these tracks nowadays, with most ATCAA areas had been reshaped and reworked circa 2018-19.

Aerodrome Data and Frequencies - Updated 26 October 2025Minsky replied to Minsky's topic in General Tutorials The 13-204 for Andersen is less detailed than I would like, so I hope these patterns are at least generally correct.

Можно попробовать что-то из этого, если оно вообще заведется под 2.7.X: https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3311803/ https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3311445/

nvidia control panel changesMinsky replied to silverdevil's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software I kept mine on "prefer maximum performance" for years, both with my previous and current GPUs. Then something happened last year, and it started to heat up dramatically while playing DCS. Other equally demanding games (2020, xp, v5 etc.) played just as smooth as before. I had to underclock my GPU and set a frame limiter to keep the temps in mid-80s, and the fans from spinning at constant 100% RPM, just to play DCS. Never though it could be related to the power management mode, as, I repeat, it worked fine for many years. Then I saw Luke's post and though, "what the hell?" Went and changed it to "Adaptive", and guess what? No more overheating, no more fans going crazy in DCS, and I was able to bring the GPU freqs back to their original values. With no noticeable performance hit whatsoever* So yeah, glad he posted that. *EDIT: I should clarify that my FPS are capped at 60, so there could still be a decrease from, let's say, 90 to 70 fps that I simply don't see (and don't care about).
