  1. Yes, this is covered in the Hornet's NATOPS (24.6.1.2.2). Upon establishing, that heading pointer represents your assigned marshal radial. And upon commencing it switches to the final bearing. There's no way to use coupled A/P modes other than HDG and P/R while the ACLS is active. The aircraft presumes that, at this point, you're aiming for the approach. Don't think you're supposed to use CPL TCN in the marshal stack anyway. I haven't heard of this technique, nor saw it mentioned in any published document.
  2. You activated the CPLD HDG mode, as seen on the HUD, so the autopilot tried to follow the ACLS command heading pointer: It 'worked' first time because you haven't yet reported 'Established', so you didn't have the uplinked control messages and that pointer.
  3. Это CTO, а не STO.
P.S. Натопс:
  5. It's been there for awhile. We don't have to -- in SP, but in multiplayer it is partially functional via SRS & LotATC.
  6. Radar beacon* is a part of the ACLS, and from my (quite limited) understanding it turns on and works automatically during ACL. Even if the current DCS implementation of that button is not a placeholder, we aren't supposed to fiddle with it that much during normal ops. *This is a newer version of the unit installed on our legacy Hornet, but it should give you a general idea of what it does.
  7. Как выше написали, при начале миссии нужно сбрасывать вид на сохраненный через Numpad Enter.
  8. Всё проще: Right Alt + Numpad0 ("Save Cockpit Angles")
  9. Have you tried this after the recent patch? Because I can land there just fine, on both runways, and so does AI. KS21.trk
  10. It's hard to say if they hadn't optimized it at all, or the newly added locations outweighed all their optimization efforts. To me it runs about the same on 32Gb now as it ran on 16Gb pre-Cyprus (i.e. barely). I honestly cannot imagine using the current version with 16Gb.
  11. No worries! There hasn't been that much to update. The procedure itself remains correct as is, I merely removed a few Supercarrier-related remarks. I hope this one is now correct -- or at least less incorrect
  12. Saved Games\(DCS folder)\MissionEditor\logbook.lua
  13. 01 May 2022 - Syria: reworked to include the recently added locations (six airfields, three heliports, and two airstrips). Frequencies, IDs and other data revised and updated as well. >> Download here <<
  14. Bump. The localizer and VOR are no longer misplaced (thanks!), but ILS still lacks glideslope.
  15. "Closed" markers for both airstrips are incorrectly placed far away from them, on the shore:
  16. Bump. Damascus - DAL NDB - still broken (342000.00 kHz)

  18. It's not just CA: I'm having the same issue when strafing (at least with the Hornet and Warthog).
  19. Check if the hot gun is unboxed. A/G, FLIR, master arm and whatnot don't matter.
  20. Here's the final page in my new set called "Marianas Smart Pack": The idea of MSP is to allow you to takeoff, train, and return to Andersen in a fairly realistic fashion. I'm planning to release it in the coming days. EDIT: Finished and uploaded >> Download here
  21. Making my way through the ILS charts. I've decided to skip the dedicated RNAV plates, as these approaches are unnecessarily complicated for DCS. What I did instead is augmented the ILS waypoints with coordinates. This will allow certain aircraft that don't have ILS (e.g. the Hornet) to fly a pseudo-ILS approach. Not realistic, but simple and efficient. Edit: And the final plate:
  22. First of the four planned AAFB approach plates. Based on the latest Jepps (mil supplement) and sanitized for DCS. Edit: and the second one:
  23. 1. Setting up the server. 2. Running Liberation.
  24. This is likely the final version of this page. I made two variants: The first one, based on the 13-204 document dated 2015, is very accurate but outdated. The second one is based on the latest Jeppesen MIL charts, Navy's MITT EIS publications, and a bunch of other sources that are up-to-date, but lack a lot of details. So I had to guesstimate certain things (such as the location of the AAR tracks and entry/exit points). It should still be accurate enough for a relatively realistic DCS training though.
