  2. Awesome pics! What lens?
  3. A-10C. P-51D. Look! A bird made it into this shot!!! In the background... Sean Tucker of the Oracle Team was doing some INSANE stuff. Talk about super maneuverability. Sean passing by. Getting ready for the main event. Taxi. Ground crew, their routine was very well rehearsed. The Thunderbirds in the air! Ready... Now! The diamond. Another angle. Up close. Loop and Roll. Mirror. One of my favorites. Rejoined and getting ready to wrap up. Thank you for taking this virtual photo-review journey and hope you enjoyed the pictures as much as I do sharing them. Also, this is only a fraction of the pictures I took, and as always High Resolution ones are available upon request. Until next year! S!
  4. Geico Skytypers Continued... Overhead. Shackle :) In trail. All the DCS A-10C fans, next few shots are for you. I actually enjoyed the A-10 flying around, it was very quite and agile so could catch a lot of cool moments. More... cowbell... Every time it went into the dive, they played the gatling gun sound... to me it sounded right out of DCS to be honest. The Strike Eagle. Compared to the A-10... this thing was LOUD. Fly by. Air force heritage flight, last year if you saw my thread there was a P-51, F-16 and F-22... this year they switched it up. Wallpaper type shots. From what I understood the F-22 didn't fly because of the whole Oxygen System thing that is going on with them. Can't take enough of these pictures, really cool. In the break! Mustang overhead. F-15E.
  5. F-18 solo was up next. Some cool shots of the F-18, added it into my wallpaper collection. Another wallpaper type shot. I absolutely love these... the Navy Heritage flight - Corsair and F-18 in formation. Overhead pass - love the sky in this. Air National Guard jet powered truck. Off it went... leaving behind some "environmentally friendly" exhaust. While being on the land based subject... the Stryker. Another one. Bradley. More crazies in the sky. Inside the Globemaster grabbing some shade. (there is actually a HUGE crowd infront of me... so the only thing I could take a picture of worth looking at was the ceiling) C-5M Supergalaxy. L-39, I really like how it looks. It was painted in the NAVY scheme. Warrior Aviation P-51 and L-39. NASA F-18 Chase aircraft.
  6. Had a chat with the crew, they came up from Cape Canaveral - were doing some contract work for NASA I guess. Meanwhile, the aerobatic guys hit the sky. A view on some of the static displays. For all the logo fans, right before entering the KC-10 Extender. Cockpit of the KC-10 Extender. The cargo deck of the KC-10. The hose and drogue system of the KC-10. The hose recovery system. While inside, I had a great chat with the boom operator, he told some great stories of how at one point they had 23 aircraft in line for fuel over Afghanistan, was a pleasure to speak with him. The Geico Skytypers. A brand new EA-18G Growler!!! Didn't expect to see it on static display. Beefy pods. From the top, see what I mean... it is shiny new! The paint scheme was rather cool as well, I was joking with the pilot asking him whether he was a Tampa Bay Lightning fan :) (Hockey team for those who don't follow hockey). My favorite pic of the 18G, except gotta chop that hand out! :) A surprise visit!!! From the F-35! Accompanied by the F-18C It was unexpected, so I wasn't quite ready... The announcer just started saying "And now look to the right" I started scrambling for a good position.
  7. May 21st, 2011 - Andrews Air Force Base, MD Among the things I look forward to each year: vacations, Eagle Dynamics release announcements... are also the airshows. This year was my second consecutive year attending the Joint Service Open House at Andrews Air Force Base located minutes away from Washington D.C. Learning from past experience, a lot of sun tan lotion was pre-packed in advance. Unfortunately, I didn't devote a lot of attention to my camera and lenses and as such some artifacts may be found on some of the pictures... I did try to touch up most of them in Photoshop to keep them clean. So, please kick back and enjoy your scrolling session as I try to take you through the JSOH 2011 event: Greeting the crowd this time was the C-17A Globemaster, if I am not mistaken one of the most expensive aircraft in service. Drawing my attention right off the bat was the F-16. This time I arrived to the airshow early at around 8AM, I had the luxury to come up rather close to the aircraft without any lines Wingtip of the F-16 Nice cockpit, but rather small inside. A sign of things to come, perhaps? ;) This year it was the Thunderbirds who were set to perform, last year it was the Blue Angels. I love how precise they are lined up, us virtual guys know how difficult it is to do after a flight... but I guess they do have outside help (crew)... oops getting off topic. An EA-6 looking mean, wait till you see what is on it's tail. Darth himself! Now that is what I call ECM... the DARK SIDE OF THE FORCE! I want one. Yak-9 P-51D Quick Silver, a very sharp looking airplane. The only flying B-29 left in the WORLD! "FiFi"" AN-124 eating up the crowd!!!
  8. Hello Gunja, Due to the nature of FC2's server software (the lack of) the dedicated servers you see today in the lobby are actually full blown clients running on dedicated machines. In order to rent such a machine, you basically need a colo or full dedicated windows based server with a capable 3D processor. Some squadrons sent their fully assembled servers to a data center and then pay the fees, but they are no where near the $30-40 you are looking at, more around $100-150 range. Hope this helps.
  9. Exactly, a good standard to follow is to have a dead-zone on your X axis while have no dead-zone on your Y axis. Reasons? Your aircraft always pulls up/down depending on a WHOLE lot of factors as such you always work with the Y axis. While X axis a lot of times you want it to be level as such you want to avoid accidental input.

    Frostie!

    Happy Birthday!!! :yay:
  11. On the inside of the warthog is a cylinder with 4 holes for the guide posts, this cylinder is under pressure of the spring that centers the stick. The guidepost holes is what the slack is, if they are not "tight" around the posts there will be a little bit of slack. There is a possibility to adjust this slack by moving around a white plastic disk that is bolted on top of the cylinder, personally, I removed that disk completely to fight the sticktion problem. Here is a brief pic (picture is edited from Frazer's highres pics):
  12. Considering the amount of time a stick should spend in dead center while flying... I do not understand why this is such a big deal? I actually like to have slack as it allows to fight the horrible sticktion that Warthog has.
  13. Don't DCS A-10C trees look more "wintry" or am I missing something?
  14. KH-29s look mean! :) Almost like booster packs...
  15. ))) Спасибо, и такое бывает :)

    5 Days of August

When I first saw skits of this on YouTube I thought it was a joke. I have no problem when movies show fictional states that resemble Russia/Eastern Europe countries fight against the almighty BLUEFOR... but when it is this blunt, I can't imagine it will be released to the general public. Those who want to know the truth, either know it already or will find it one way or another. Those who watch movies like this and go out and argue/behave/state what was shown to them in the movies... god bless them. Unfortunately, they outnumber the few.
  19. Keep in mind, due to the fact that there was no experienced cameraman available, a member of UVAF reserve pilots stepped up and did the job. 51st was flying the A-50 with 4 Flankers in escort. 'Papa Bear' was driven by X-Man :smilewink: Berkuts put on a jaw dropping show... as always! Hopefully Frazer/Sawa will post some screens/vids of this event as well.
  21. May 8, 2011 - Twelve hours before the Red Square was to be filled with servicemen, veterans and tourists - nearly eighty virtual pilots took to the sky in Flaming Cliffs 2. What has become a tradition, a virtual air parade that takes place every year, the Virtual Victory Day Parade in twenty-eleven proved to be spectacular, demanding and at the end of the day extremely satisfying. This year, our regiment the 51st PVO, the "Bisons", decided to take part and really challenge our birds, pilots and crew to fly among the best aerobatic and military squads in this event. While shooting down those pesky Eagles and protecting the motherland from any airborne threat has become second nature to us, flying in tight formations with the added pressure of not letting down our name and what we stand for - deepened our respect for all of the individuals that spend days on end practicing and preparing such visually appealing events like this one, VFAT and others. We wanted to thank all of the pilots, squads and viewers who participated and watched this event. Special thanks to UVAF MAD MAX for organizing this event, no easy feat. We hope to see more community uniting events like this occur within our small virtual pilot world. Pictures coming soon... Live stream replay
  22. Sorry for taking so long, attached are two of my profiles. SU-27 and SU-25. Notice, the 25 profile is for 25A not T. These profiles are designed to be simple and with some degree of mimicking the real button positions. Sov_TM_Profiles.zip
  23. You are wrong on the S variant. You are correct on the 29A.
  24. Where are the bloopers? :inv:
