  1. A few years = a few weeks!
  2. Zalman clip on mic: http://www.amazon.com/Zalman-Microphone-Zm-Mic1-Sensitivity-Headphone/dp/B00029MTMQ/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1310441000&sr=8-1
  3. Can you share which one you are using?
  4. Indeed. Many options out there that can work for this application. I am glad that more people are becoming aware of all the options one can exploit to go wireless with TCP. I, however, was specifically looking for AA powered source because I always have rechargeable AA batteries that are ready to go, as well as I really hate having 100 different chargers for different lithium batteries and if all of the sudden it runs flat mid-flight popping out two AA batteries and throwing two fresh ones is rather painless.
  5. Now that the wireless headsets are becoming a reality, with increasing quality of transmission, I looked into how to convert TrackClip Pro into a wireless device. You can actually do so rather easily. Above is a 2x AA USB charger or small LED flashlight. Mounting it with Velcro to the top of the headset results in a power source right next to your TrackClip, now all you need is to shorten the USB wire from the TrackClip to the USB charger. With 2x AA batteries, based on moderate estimates the TrackClip LEDs should be able to stay powered for 1-2 weeks without problems, of course this depends on the batteries used. The nice thing about this is also the fact that it has an OFF switch, so that you can switch off the power source when not flying. Also, the added weight on your headset is roughly 46g and since it is mounted with Velcro you can take it off without much harm on demand. 6. Weight reduction ;) Gotta catch those uber F-15s ya know :)
  7. In 51st, the lead throws the empty vodka bottle out of the pit, the moment it hits the pavement - it's go time. being silly
  8. I was actually just looking at similar type of products and ended up finding these: http://www.vuzix.com/consumer/products_wrap_1200vr.html They are not available yet (August 2011), but seem to be promising. The resolution isn't perfect but might be offset by the overall effect.
  9. Right, what is the point of a squadron if you do 1v1? Personal skills are honed by each pilot on their own or through experience. As far as our trainings and what we do, well join us and pass our exams - see for yourself! ;) Tactics in an SU-27 vs F-15... in 1v1 scenario... whoever makes the first mistake is dead regardless of airframe. It doesn't matter if he has AIM-120Gs (GangSTAR Modification with 150 damage multiplier and cross-continent waypoints) or R-60As (water warheads)... both craft will keep exchanging missiles until either depleted or in WVR which then evolves into BFM. In multiplayer scenarios, I personally find opponents eager for a kill [i fight such urges myself all the time]... thus they are extremely aggressive and gamble with personal safety which leads to their downfall. If an F-15C fires at you first... it is really dumb to press... vice versa... if an SU-27 fires at you first... it is really dumb to not do anything about it, simple as that. Ugh... sorry for babbling on... Yes.
  10. hope it helps.
  11. Including Yoda himself. :music_whistling:
  12. Thread title doesn't live up to the thread contents. Booo! :crash: The things I imagined while the thread was loading... (the few nanoseconds it took)
  13. Time to unite FC2 multiplayer with USAF noobs. Send them a suggestion will ya?

    Happy Birthday!
  15. Point, Set, Match, Game over... case closed.
  16. I guess nobody was paying attention to Altitude and Horizon/Pitch angle? I mean engines at Idle with a 13+ degree pitch??? That is just counter intuitive...
  17. Player "Bird" killed F-16C. --- In regards to FC3... the fact that the question has come up among the development team on what the possibilities of porting FC2 into A-10C world... is a VERY good sign. Official announcements and all the other "hoopla"... is just that.
  18. A note has been published by the BEA. Located here: http://www.bea.aero/fr/enquetes/vol.af.447/point.enquete.af447.27mai2011.en.pdf Most likely a lot of the conversation is left out, but by what is there... it seems like the pilots weren't aware of their -10000ft/min vertical speed at all. So they just stalled all the way down from 37000 ft... to 0...

  20. No only one sim has to be installed on the server. Similar to what it is now with DCS KA-50 and FC2. Either of them can host missions for each other. It will be mission controlled. Whichever craft you have set as client in the mission... are what is going to be available to the client joining your server.
  21. super_advanced_warhead = warhead(missile)*1000; :P
  22. Here is a thought... without FC3... DCS F-18... DCS A-10C and DCS KA-50 multiplayer will be on life support within 6-8 months.
