  1. Remeber that it is still early access. I'm pretty sure there will be more weaponry, more missions and hopefully more (or a) campaigns. In spite of all the little bugs it still has, it is a lovely plane to fly. I don't regret buying it.
  2. I believe that neutral position for the elevator trim is two notches up on the indicator (can anyone confirm this?) so one notch nose down would be on notch above the center marking on the indicator. That's where I trim the elevator to for take off and that works fine for me. I trim the rudder full right but I've heard from others that they use less right rudder trim.
  3. Be aware, the speed Brake will retract by itself as soon as you put the gear down.
  4. The rudder trim gets very effective with increasing speed really fast. You have to use left rudder to counteract this or just trim the rudder back quite quickly. And giving her a little right aileron doesn't hurt either. At least that's my experience. And yes, you need very little input on the controls. You can actually rip the wings off, if you pull to quick too hard on the stick.
  5. That doesn't matter at sea level. IAS and TAS are about the same at this altitude. The rule of thumb is to ad 2% to your IAS per 1000ft of altitude to get your estimated TAS. MadCat
  6. Hab es auf meinem Gaming-PC und auf dem HTPC (Intel NUC). Absolut keine Probleme.
  7. If you refer to the C3 fuel... the plane (A8 actually had 3 tanks (2 main tanks and the additional tank behind the cockpit) for this "funky" fuel. From the A3 (BMW 801 D2) variant on, the engine could only run on C3 fuel due to it's higher compression ratio compared to the C variant of the engine. That was at the end of 1941!
  8. It's sucks a bit indeed. But I like the amount of charts in it. Some things are a bit weired. But it is still early access, I hope it will get a rework later on.
  9. This temp gauge is quiete confusing. There is a green line at about 20-30°C, okay, maybe minimum Temp. Then there is a green line at about 70°C. Next line is red at 85°C. These are painted on. Then there are two white markings at 35-40°C and 95°C. And the normal scale is marked with fat white lines at 0, 50, 110 and 130. The manual says at page 59: "Two indicator strips indicate normal operating temperature of 110 - 130°C." and later under "Normal procedures" Page 99: "Attention! It is recommended to open the radiator cooling flaps at a temperature of 110°С." So what is correct now?
  10. May we please get wheel chocks placed by the ground crew? This bird just wants to get forward even with only 1000 rpm. It's quiet annoying to have to press the brake all the time while waiting for the engine to warm up. That would be a nice addition to any aircraft without a parking brake btw. ;) The MadCat

  11. Nitrous Dioxyde was the GM1 system. As far as I am aware, they tried the MW-50 quite early (A4 or something) and found, that the benefits were too small at least at that time of the war. The engine just didn't work that well with the MW-50. I don't know, if there were large numbers of Antons with the system, but I doubt it, after all I read about it.
  12. It's for GND only. On a CV the System will hook up to the SINS and get the data from it. But there is a way to do this manually on a CV. It's also described in the NATOPS. I don't have my PC avaiable atm, so this is more a guess then a solution for the sim.
  13. Can't test it atm, but have you checked the A/C Data page on the HSI before starting the alignment? It has to give you your current location as this data will be transfered from the mission computer to the INS for a GND alignment. If Not, you have to input your coords manually. At least that's what the NATOPS says.
  14. I didn't ask for it. ;) Some guys here just seem to confuse these two things. C3 was mandatory for the BMW 801 D2. But it ist not the same as the C3 injection system.
  15. Don't confuse the use of C3 fuel as the primary fuel with the additional C3 injection system. When they increased the manifold pressure they found, that the fuel injection pump could only barely deliver enough fuel to the cylinders, so the mixture got quiet lean. So they added an additional fuel line a simple pump and a single nozzle. Very simple and cheaper, but highly effective.
  16. I would really like to see a fun challenge campaign in which you can get used to the aircraft. Learn her in and outs. That would be so nice.
  17. It will have the C3 injection system according to the text in the ED-shop. As most fights in DCS happen at a quite low altitude, the Anton should be somewhat competitiv. I guess staying below 6000m will be mandatory.
  18. Pre-Ordered as well. Can't wait to get my hands on it. I hope we will get some campaigns for the german module.
  19. Curvature.
  20. The aircraft we have in the game is build number 165407. Refering to the NATOPS it should be equipped with the INS + GPS system and for these aircraft the correct position keeping mode would be: "Aided INS (AINS) Mode. For aircraft with GPS installed, Aided INS (AINS) is the primary position keeping mode. [...] AINS is selected by placing the INS mode switch to IFA after a GND or CV alignment. The position keeping mode remains AINS unless GPS satellites are lost, ..." -NATOPS A1-F18AC-NFM-000 page: VII-24-13 item: 24.2.1.5- Will this be implemented in the game? Now, the only working mode is NAV, which isn't the correct mode for this aircraft.
