  1. Are you giving any pitch inputs, like try to flare her? Do not do that. With an AoA of 8.1 degree and a glide path of about -3 degree the nose of the plane should be at about +5 degree on the pitch ladder. From turning into the final (groove) 'till touch down.
  2. The vvi is too slow for me. I try to get used to the picture when she is in the the three point attitude. And yes I find the main gear to be quite fragile.
  3. As far as I can remember these advisory panels often have more lights then are needed. These lights just don't have a function behind them. If my memory is not wrong in this case, most aircraft I worked on while in the navy had some of these lights. Not sure on the Hornet though.
  4. Can you provide us with a screenshot or a picture? Witch lines do you mean?
  5. Damn that's a hard choice! But as the F4U is already in development I would like to see the Hawker Tempest Mk. V as well.
  6. It's the open beta for the whole sim, not just the new modules. When they introduce new stuff somewhere in the sim and it's effecting older modules, then it's just like it is. I don't think ED expected these issues with the Spitfire, these are just new bugs. And I think they will be fixed as soon as possible. Btw. the engine died on me yesterday. I had plenty of altitude so I had time to fiddle around. After switching the booster pump on, the engine just started again. I dont know why, as I did not have the fuel pressure warning light on, but it worked.
  7. I agree but it's a bug nonetheless and it can't hurt to report it.
  8. Not that I particulary care about setting the gun convergence but this argument is pointless. One definition of a simulation: "An as realistic as possible replication of events of reality." So let's see. Gun convergence could be changed in real life: Check It was done in real life: Check So in a hardcore simulation it should be possible, just because it was possible in reality. In a hardcore simulation it just doesn't matter if it wasn't done commonly. Other points: Will it breake the emersion? No Will it hurt other sim pilots? No Is it possible in the engine of the simulation? Don't know, but I guess it is.
  9. I guess you are using the open beta. It is a beta version. Bugs are to be expected with every update. So why are you mad? I understand that it's annoying. I'm annoyed as well, but I decided to use the beta, so I have to live with some bugs. That's just how it is.
  10. Just google it: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Global_illumination
  11. CB animation is still broken. Didn't notice any change to the starter sound.
  12. What's a historical matchup in that regard anyway? All of these now 5 aircraft flew at the same time over western europe in 1944/45. And when you listen to pilots of this time, each of this planes was well respected by the other sides pilots.
  13. The Tempest would be nice as well.
  14. Apart from the now working binding of the R.P.M. buttons I found the following: -tank indicator selector now has the correct 3 positions -electric killswitch seems to work -compass is now working like intended -animation of the rudder trim corrected Has anyone found other corrected items?
  15. Considering how a ASI works, it seems like the airflow into the pitot tube get's disturbed at high AoA. I would be amazed if ED modelled this.
  16. Looks like the horizon doesn't get power. Maybe it has something to do with the A8. In this module there is a CB for the AH. Something might get confused between the D9 and A8.
  17. The engine just seems to be bugged at the moment. Even if you baby it, it will fail for no reason. The A8 engine will get fixed later in early access, it is not supposed to withstand full throttle all the time.
  18. I would not use the R2 even if we get it. It was meant for the bomber interceptors. The plane gets even heavier, visibility worse. The pilots back in the day hated the additional armour glass. In dcs we mostly fight other fighters. So I don't see the point of this Rüstsatz.
  19. Ah okay. Then I got you wrong. Sorry.
  20. I agree, that the Spitfire cockpit looks really, really nice from a graphical standpoint. But from a sim pilots standpoint I just can't stand the layout. It's dark, the dials are hard to read, they are relativly small and the needles are skinny. I don't understand what the engineers where thinking back in the day. So even if the cockpit of the P-51D is not as pretty in the sim, I find it more enjoyable. And yes, the cockpit of the Fw190 is both pretty an well layed out.
  21. I notice the adverse yaw effect every time in the warbirds when I'm turning from the downwind leg into the final approach. Add aileron with no rudder and the nose rises quite alot (especially in the Spit). First thing the plane does is climbing, before it settles into the descent, which caught me of guard the first few times.
  22. Of the modules I own it's the Fw190 A8, hands down, but the D9 is close on it's heels.
  23. On the top right of the Revi is a slider to adjust the brightnes of the crosshair. Or do you mean the glas itself, that is too opaque?
