504th are going to be introducing a squad v squad static campaign hopefully in the next 1-2 months, mission generation being more reasonable isnt going to happen but i really hope to get CAW running again but this revolves around people having the time for the workload.

Our founder CO hasnt flown for some time since his accident, im not sure about our other CO and XO. I certainly wont be flying A2A so i will pass it on to our forums and make it known. Cool idea Ironeagle.

if your not bothered about a HOTAS setup then id say find a Saitek Cyborg USB GOLD joystick, it is adaptable to both handed users. Comes with hex key to make it left-handed bit old now so Ebay is best bet. You can swap the throttle over too ! Here is a photo of it in left handed mode. I beleive the Cyborg EVO is also left/right handed adaptable though im not 100%, it might be just for hand size. This uses the tumbscrew/no-tools method for changing, also USB and ForceFeedback verions. Hope this is some help.

If Lockon has run its course then we didnt get much for the blood, sweat and tears we shed to keep it "on course". 2-3 Failed online multiplayer campaigns, lots of Lockon squads struggling to keep numbers up and hair/sleep/time loss from fighting a un-helpfull map editor. Then to top it all every patch breaking all our hard work and making us rebuild everything again. If ED would help SwingKid make his Single/Multi Play dynamic campaign system work in Lockon then we would have an all new Lockon with 1.2 !! Dynamic Campaign generator for CAW/BSO/Squad..etc or KA50 ? I wanna see both because Lockon is the only SIM i like, i dont want to fly fully clickable cockpits in ED's new titles so i doubt i willbe supporting them after Lockon. SP/MP DC is what has kept Falcon on peoples HDD's to this date, i want to have Lockon on mine for the next 4-5 years and stillbe in 504th teahing new pilots how to enjoy Lockon ! I have so many ideas for missions and campaigns, i want to run CAW again but these are just dreams and hopes that cannot be realised without a campaign generator thats easy to use. Wolf

Sorry i didnt reply earlier, saw the thread but was pushed for time. MULTI-PLAYER DYNAMIC CAMPAIGN IS A DEFINATE MUST FOR LOCKON !! If the output is already in the single player engine then it must be added to the mulitplayer !! Then ED and all the Lockon Squads will have a free MP DC system which could be updated and made better and better for the whole life of Lockon !! It would make my job as a Virtual Wing CO 20x easier and Squad life much fuller ! I willbe testing SW2 from now on and will go read their forums and get involved.

1.2 is as smooth as 1.12 and considering 1.2 renders ALL buildings and trees on medium view settings i think thats a major opitmization !! Im getting around the same FPS hit flying down the center of a town/city in the KA50 as i do in a SU25T in 1.12. I know people who think if they have a FX7800/X1900XL and dual core 4400 they can run Lockon @ 1600x1200 AFx16 AAx16 with all settings on HIGH. This in reality is not so...yeah she'll run but you will still be pissed at the FPS you get. Ya need to turn RES and AF/AA down, i run Lockon on 1024 or 1152 with all settings on high (view distance medium) and Lockon looks fantastic with 30+ average FPS....so the moral IMO is turn down the RES and watch the FPS rise :D.

mine went freaky the other day, so i unplugged it and un-installed the software and drivers. re-installed the software and drivers and plugged it back in another USB socket, this fixed it. Hope that helps, Wolfie.

i voted yes i would rather pay for ground tanks that scatter when attacked like those in il2, this would make A2G more fun and realistic. A2A and its aircraft hold nothing for me.
