Yeah i just used the Polygonal Lasso Tool for speed rather than accuracy, its only going to be printed on to a sheet of sugar icing then slapped on top of a victorian slice cake ;) But if he wants the wheels cleaning up i will as i saved the PSD :D Its a nice car m8 whats the name of the kit, i presume its a Lotus Super 7 replica ?

Witchking/Aquarius_varun definatly gets all my votes those Flanker skins are killer ! He gave ALOT of time to the Lockon community on those skins.

added it to LockonSkins aswell....sorry it took so long as no one seems to upload anything anymore so i dont check it so frequently :(

Ive had to abandon Lockon 1.1 (downloaded version) because of these problems: Random Connections to Dedicated or Private MP Servers, usually timesout and allways kicks me on hitting recover. Optical Drive Failiures, my dvd and cd writer fails to be regonised needing a reboot or 2 to get it to work (un-installed 1.1 problem gone tested twice) Need for more RAM to make 1.1 playable, I have 512mb XMS TwinX 3700 Low Latencey. It does state i need 256mb (512recomended) but not 1gig+ ! The game plays smooth when i actually get online so i dont need more RAM. Because of these problems ive been quite depressed about Lockon lately and im in 2 minds wether to give up altogther. Have the DEV's commented on any of these problems as i know im not the only one. Is a replacement free copy of the CD release been offered to Downloaded 1.1 owners ? I need some reasurance that i can play Lockon again........soon. Wolfie :icon_jook

I noticed that the A-10 has 2-3 settings to its airbrakes and when carrying single MAV is has to use a rail attached to the hardpoint,would be great to see this modeled. What do ya think ?

d-Scythe m8 i agree with you on his skins and yes i can add skins of my choosing but the reason for my thread was why ? if ED go for full realism do they add several non-real rusty A-10 skins ? Just puzzling and a little anoying as im a big A-10 fan and have traveled up and down my country trying to catch them on detachments since they left our shores in the early 90's. Also you cant seem to change the skins on the campaign so you kinda stuck with the nasty skins. I have said mitchs are all fantastic and detailed but the rusty ones arent realistic.....im kinda picky with skins i only make real skins never themed, ferris, fun skins and i felt a little dissapointed with Mitch when he made the 'Rusty Series" :) as he allways struck me as a accurate modeler. So i thought id get the word on the street with other A-10 Lockon lovers :D Not a hate mitch thread because i have great respect and started A-10 skinning because of him. I have attached some screenies of my latest A-10 Skin which i think youll find is VERY detailed but caused me FPS probs in 1.0.2 (need to test in 1.1).

his readme says Rusty effect though............and ive seen loads of A-10s and they dont look like his skin with his "real" look lol.

I have attached a 1.1 screenshot of one of the offending "rusty" A-10's which for me personally have spoilt 1.1 (all non-rusty Mitch skins are and will allways be amazing) This is from the readme with the original skin : So im inclined to believe it is infact supposed to be rust which brings me full circle back to my original empuzzlement of why ED would include not so realistic skins into the game and not even update some on the names - Snow scheme is now actually a Mitch Ferris skins which IMO is not snow :S :( Just my thoughts.

What is it with ED using Mitchs rusty A-10 skins ??!! Im pretty sure any god fearing Hog Jock would never step in to a plane with THAT MUCH RUST !! :( The plane whould fall to bits not to mention the fact that the Hog like most planes is consructed from cast/cnc'd titainium and sheet alluminium ! Which doesnt rust hence the reason for using it in aviation. Now im not having a go at Mitchs skins i think they are all fantastic all except the rusty ones he made which just arent REAL, i spent most of my life watching Hogs in the UK during the 80/90s and have just spent the whole day watcing them on UK detachment (photos attached) please feel free to find rust :D So what im saying is do you think this is wrong...if ED are supposed to know planes then you would think they would say "rusted A-10 skins ? are you crazy?!" :D Not really a rant just very confused as the rust has spoilt the A10 campaign for me as looking out to a rusty wing and wingman scares the crap outta me :D yes i can use other skins but the FPS gets real bad :( Anyways let me and ED know what ya think. ive done a fresh format and and installed 1.1 on a different HDD so im sure there isnt any 1.0.2 files, also the 504 are a bunch of fairly inteligent bunch of guys and know the difference between 1.1 and 1.0.2 :D So yes it was definatly a 1.1 server i was connecting to (504Blades to be exact) Been out all day watching A-10's at RAF Lakenheath with the flu so if i feel like it i will have a crack at 1.1 in a while.

know one knows but ED Devs and they dont work on weekends :)

i will try a re-install again but this willbe the 3rd this week ! I dont run anything other than Xfire in the background when playing Lockon but i have a 3mbit cable connection so i find it hard to believe it needs all of that ! The server had the LUA edit also as it is mandertory 504 practice now.

My 1.1 wont connect to ANY servers AT ALL PERIOD it did and now it doesnt !! I need a ED Dev to look in to this weirdness as they have done something to 1.1 and i cant fix it, i edited the network.LUA script to lengthen my connection timeout time which worked the 1st time i did it and after a 1.1 re-install it now wont connect to any servers. This is not good as i only play online i have no interest in playing the Campaigns. I looks connected but it isnt............how, what,when huh ? Im a dedicated Lockon player and supporter and i run a well visited Lockon site i even got to review the 1.1 Beta and i didnt have any probs but the final version is broke for me and alot of other players, my good friend SilentEagle (top movie make and VT-Birds pilot) cant get it to work. So does anyone know anything about this problem, do i need to buy more RAM because the Lockon Specs dont say i need a GIG+ RAM to play it ! My household budget cant stretch anymore on this project :( Im going outta my mind please help.
