  1. TDC slewing with the ministick on my TM16000 as an axis, has always been problematic for me in the Harrier. Works fine for me in the F-16, F-18, and A-10C. Currently I am using a 4 way switch to control the TDC. It works, but I don’t have the fine control that an axis can provide. Besides, I could the 4 way for something else.
  2. After applying the line to the autoexec.cfg file, l thought this had fixed the flir from blowing out. But alas, after about a week, it was back. Deleting the content of the fxo and metashaders2 folders again, and rebooting the system resolved it. I normally put my system into sleep mode instead of powering it down. Maybe the nVidia shader cache outside of DCS is interfering in some way? Regardless, I still think turning it off in the sim helps with this issue.
  3. Simple option on the “special” tab for realistic boresight maverick. Like the realistic TGP slew option for the Hornet. Then everyone is happy.
  4. I installed the Channel map during the play for free this past time around. Saw it on that map too. It’s definitely in the WWII assets pack, or new damage model somewhere. Fact is, I liked the Channel map. I get the same performance as the Syria map. I was planning on getting it this holiday sale. But, not until this gets fixed.
  5. ***Update*** Just an update, I did what Taz suggested. After three sessions I don’t have the screen washout! I think you may be onto something. However, instead of changing the graphics.lua file, I added this line to my autoexec.cfg; options.graphics.metaShaderCacheEnabled = false This way you shouldn’t have to change your graphics.lua file after every update.
  6. Congratulations! Welcome to the club. I have suspected it was the flak early on. If you’re able to isolate it, maybe this bug will finally be squashed.
  7. These are the exact same reasons I haven’t been flying near as much as I used to. These bugs are are so off putting, I just don’t enjoy it anymore. It’s so frustrating to setup, takeoff, fly to the target area, get off a weapon successfully, and the flir being blinded until the smoke clears. I can’t even look in the general direction of the lingering smoke without the flir being a total whiteout or blackout depending on the black hot, or white hot setting. CCD works, but doesn’t help much if you bring IRmavs. I will try changing the setting Taz recommend, and see if it makes a difference.

  10. Guys, read my first post in this thread. This has been going on since mid August. The last OB that was not showing the flashes, was OB2.5.6.52437. If you want to try it for yourself, roll back to that one. I still think it has to do with the WWII asset pack. Flak is at the top of my suspect list. Next would be muzzle flashes. I really hope that this will be fixed soon. It kills the immersion.

  13. Welcome to the forums. This is not specific to the Spitfire. Many of us have been having the same problem since a few updates ago. Hoping the fix will come in the next update.

  16. Still have the orange/yellow flashes here too. No change in the last 2 updates. Also seems to be related to WWII assets. I can fly all day in a bare bones mission, (no assets) on the Normandy map, and have no flashes. As soon as I start in a mission with WWII assets, it starts again. Latest OB. Nvidia card here also. I can upload a trk file again, but it’s still the same result as the one before.
  17. Been wondering the same thing. If I have a symmetrical Maverick loadout, and both pylons are armed, shouldn’t they fire alternately to maintain balance? Right now it empties the pylon on one wing before it fires from the other. Is this as intended, or a bug?
  18. Wags is giving an A-10C II tutorial to Mover. Here’s the link; At about 12:30 into the video, Mover has a hit with the FLIR on in the Tpod. Screen goes black as it looks like he’s in black hot mode. This is what many of us are experiencing. White hot is just the opposite. Screen goes to a complete whiteout.
  19. This isn’t a problem with the “better smoke” mod. (Which is awesome BTW) :thumbup: It’s been around for quite some time now. But it’s intermittent and hard to reliablely duplicate.   21. ***Bump*** I know the WWII community isn’t at the top of the DCS totem pole, but is anybody still seeing this problem with the flashing textures? BN, can you still reproduce this?
  22. I’m with you abbod31. I just can’t seem to wrap my head around it, or any of the Mavericks in general. Slewing with a mini-stick is near impossible with any precision. The curser on the FCR works just fine for me. It’s the same plane, I don’t get it? You would think with it being the same controller that they would work identically.
  23. Unfortunately, this one still exists for me, at least on the Normandy map with WWII assets. :( I can provide another trk file, but the one I provided before, is still relevant. ***Edit** I should say this is latest OB 2.5.6.55363 23/09/2020
  24. I updated 452.06 with no problems. In fact, I have even gained some FPS. But, It still didn’t fix the graphical glitch. I think it has to do with rendering explosions?
