If you choose, move to instead of copy past you don't have to worry about install that is still on D drive. In my case I didn't even have to change desktop icons. Leave your saved games on D.

Are your gpu drivers up to date.

Under the config folder should their be a snapview and default snapview lua or just the default. I know that the view folder contains only the snapview lua. Thanks

Just noticed that after having to reinstall BS 1 to get 1 too 2 to update in mod manager I don't have ( english cockpit ) how do I get it back. I remember their was a mod, but can't find it. I just want the language mod. Thanks

I did a clean install of 2.5 and all modules installed but BS. At module manager the bs upgrade to bs 2 is checked an ready to install but when I try it say's I need installer 2.5.0.15365 which makes no sense to me. I have BS 1 installed and can launch and run it with no problem. What is going on here. Thanks ( Solved )

So the Open beta folder in saved games is required? I had deleted it but it was still in recycle bin.

Is the mod installation path posted by ( Uboats ) still the choice for 2.5 stable. I have tried a a/c skin in the path, saved games/DCS/coremods/aircraft, pasting the a/c folded their with dds and lua but it's not showing up. Tried saved games/DCS/MODS, but their is no a/c or livery folder their, only terrain. Pasted the a/c mod folder their anyway, but not showing up. Do I need to put the entire zip file in one or the other and unzip in place. Thanks

Then just move 1.58 to the other drive that you will make it's home, then update it and it will automatically, or ask you if you want to install 2.2 their, and say yes. If you copy past 1.5.8 to the other drive and leave original copy on origin drive the updater will look their. As long as you are moving to another drive on same pc their is no consequencies. You need 1.5.8 for 2.5 to update too. The updater, updates 1.5.8 and move 2.2 alpha too 2.5. making single install of DCS WORLD. PS The update will be between 92 to 94 GB so make sure you have the space on the new drive.

Mind is showing 92 gb, but I think that may still included some leftover beta, don't know for certain. I deleted all my alpha.

My thought, if you have room on current drive just update to 2.5 stable. Then make sure all is ok in sim. Then after you'r sure everything is working correctly just move the Eagle Dynamics folder to the desired drive. I just did this myself. Upgraded to 2.5 stable check that all was well. Then moved from C drive to B drive. No copy past in my case. When perfectly well, and still using same desktop Icon to connect. I also left saved games folder on C drive. Happy :pilotfly:

Flew A-10 from batumi to anapa and got flashing message on hud ( offmap ). Is this something new and to be expected when reaching the edge at any point on the map?. I tried a miss start on rwy and at alt and distance of about 15 miles from anapa, and did not get the flashing message.

I am having similar issue, which other files did you delete?

That's what I had figured but, I had removed mine before the update to avoid problems and when I put them back, they were in a kneeboard folder inside a kneeboard folder which made the not show up. But I fixed it, all's good. Thanks

Where do they go now?

I had the very light green trees and bright terrain until I made adjustments. Took a lot of tries and a full day but below attachments is the result up till now. Mind you I am displaying on a 4k TV with my TV and computer desktop settings to my liking first, then adjustments from within the sim. Also my desktop res is set too 3840x2160 and DCS is set to 1920x1080 full screen. The first screenshot is before any changes and the second it after all the time spent working it out. FPS 50 and up.

Before the upgrade to 2.5 I used disk cleaner to clean my ssd and, then used free Ccleaner to clean everything else, internet and all other sectors. Between the two cleaner's and reducing DCS's to one install I have gained 40 GB of usable space on my ssd. Whaaaat :lol:

Testing around Batumi I find preferred shading (on ) a must for me. Without (on ) trees from distance look like their clumped together. But their is an FPS sacrifice of 40's to 60's on and 50's to 60's off. I have to go with appearance ( on ) in this case. Low level flight K-50.

Love the new explosion effects and ground shake. Sun is too bright with clear sky's. Just a quick take. :thumbup::thumbup: More to come.
