Hey guys, I'm looking to jump back into DCS:W now that 1.5 is out and I tried to setup a triple monitor LUA, but seem to be having issues. My 3 screens are: LEFT: 1680x1050 CENTER: 1920x1080 RIGHT: 1680x1050 I tried using this: I end up getting a small left and right screen instead of a full edge to edge layout. What am I doing wrong?

In other games, im having issues with AA letting me see through all objects. Haven't tested DCS yet

Yupyup. Really good opportunity there for sure!
-
Thanks. Hmm might be too close to US retail prices for me. Thanks though!
-
Hey pieddroit, can you show me pics of the holes drilled into the triple mount and are these prices shipped to CONUS too?
-
Yeah 1 throttle 2 sticks 2 panels. I have someone in CONUS interested, so ill get back to you.
-
Personally wouldn't mind if the backseat was occupied by a person who didn't pay and their controls/cockpit was locked out.. essentially just a person along for the ride. They would just look around and enjoy the ride (or take pics/screenies of some MIG 28 while we flipped them birds upside down ;)). But if they paid, now I have a full fledged RIO/WSO. Something like that.

This is mostly a feeler to see if there's interest but I've got the X65F HOTAS that I haven't really used, especially since I have a Warthog lol. So that being said, it's pretty much like new. To add to it, it comes with an extra joystick and panel portions for.. whatever (original set that I bought with a broken throttle tension screw that I RMAed and Saitek bought me a whole a new set). Both sticks center well but still require a small deadzone like most X65Fs. Extra panel works well too, not sure if you can mod it for extra buttons. Was considering keeping it for when Star Citizen decides to get out of the marketing only phase :smilewink: but eh, it's taking too long :( Anyhow, I'm looking for $250 on it and halfsies on shipping within CONUS. Any interest? Oh pics to come, but no scratches, nothing broken, nada. Spent most of life under HOTAS covers I have.

Ill get in line for the trackir5 after vikko. Thanks.

I would really like to fly into a thick nimbus and come out with a wet canopy while the drops stream backwards

I'm very curious as to what is different in the software exactly... because the X52 Pro and X65F has had pretty much the same interface for a while now, aside from all the aesthetics that is. Maybe they just included the X-55 in the Pro Flight range of the Profiler vs non Pro Flight? I mean they added the curvature page, but you could do that stuff in the Windows Game Controller Settings anyway.

Hmm the question I have is has anyone found a quality pot replacement yet? Knowing Saitek, the pots for the throttle and the rotaries will being to spike or wobble after a short amount of time.
-
Oh god not again.. Saitek had this issue with the X65F and I thought it wouldn't be repeated in the 55 because of a few different pieces I've seen in the pictures of the internals. For the 65, the grease + some arch pieces made the throttle tension adjustment useless. Saitek eventually fixed by using another grease or less grease. Some RU boys also took it upon themselves to just remove the internal arch pieces. REF: http://simhq.com/forum/ubbthreads.php/topics/3146091/all/Inside_View_of_Saitek_X65.html But at least they were smart enough this time to make the tension adjustment a wheel on the side instead of a soft allen head screw that stripped when you tried to turn it!

He means the base is too light with the standard spring that comes installed. When you move the stick, the base will lift so you pretty much have to secure it to keep it from moving. Later he talked about changing springs to a lighter one and that helped.
-
Any reports on how they work? The price looks decent.
-
Do you mind me asking which ones you ordered? Thanks.
-
Yes it does.
-
nobody can say anything is for certain at this point. we just need madcatz to release more info. there is no rudder lockout on the stick like previous iterations though, so assume what you will from that. :joystick:
-
There was something going around about using the spring when not under powered FFB mode... eh we shall see.

Or a M1 when bridges are bombed out? :pilotfly:

Would you want/ allow flyable civilian aircraft in DCS
neoshi replied to Kroll's topic in DCS Wishlist
It would be nice to have civilian traffic no doubt.. but yeah perhaps just military transports. I know some guys who want to fly tankers and others who want the AC-130 after the COD craze. Would be nice one day to be able to drive a Bradley into a player flown C-5 to get to the front lines.
