  1. I have to admit that I'm a bit afraid to meet you on a server while flying an Eagle now... :joystick::helpsmilie:
  2. Sometimes... I feel lazy and just want to be able to do everything without removing my hands from the HOTAS at all. Kinda couch potato pilot mode. :pilotfly: FC3 is good for that. :P
  3. Just be careful of open boxes. Fry's has a lot of them and the inventory checker doesn't differentiate. If you have a LA address you will staying at for longer than a few days, you could always buy on Amazon and ship to the address for about $30-50 cheaper than Fry's (after taxes).
  4. This is going to turn into some Air Force One escort missions isn't it? Hmm..
  5. popcorn, it's just + and - to change the range. The controls page is a bit misleading/incorrect?
  6. Eh, have been telling myself that spending time on nailing the right factors to be accepted for the scripted landing is not worth it and just carry enough fuel to get myself to the targets, make some explosions, and then go down with the ship. On the other hand, great excuse to finally try the SUs and MIG.
  7. @OP The whole CH set is like $286.05 NEW on Amazon (great support for returns hint hint) and sometimes goes lower. That vs the $261 for the X52 Pro + Pro pedals makes the CH a no brainer. But that's just me because I've gone through 3 sets of X52s in the past few years and I'm starting to wonder why I got the X65F (albeit for $200 and I have two sticks and two control panels, but one throttle).
  8. Ok figured my situation at the very least. My accounts are OK, so the only thing I needed to do after Huey, Combined Arms, and FC3 appeared in my module manager was to hold shift as I clicked on multiplayer and then input the keys to activate them. Tada.. all good.:megalol:
  9. I guess this is where we wait for the F-35D. Give the module about a decade or so.
  10. They have the Mi-8 out next. But yeah, haven't really seen any news on a Cobra yet. I might have missed something though.
  11. Probably need to count on Belsimtek to get a Cobra out. They will most likely sit alongside FC3, until FC3 gets tossed out that is.
  12. Later this year, we will offer: A-10A: DCS Flaming Cliffs Su-25: DCS Flaming Cliffs F-15C: DCS Flaming Cliffs Su-27: DCS Flaming Cliffs This modules will feature: 1- Detailed 3D model (high polygon / high res textures) 2- 6 DOF cockpit 3- AFM 4- Lock On level cockpit systems $19.99 USD at release
  13. I'm trying to convince myself that buying it for the carrier ops while the Hornet is being developed is good enough for now. Not working too well yet. Must be the high price tag compared to everything else (because we all know LOMAC/FC is the cash cow) that is keeping me a bit disgruntled. Haha
  14. You're crazy. I live <20 minutes from him and I don't even want to until we get more details lol I've played a few of his sims (like the Aviation Challenge sim, Mach Combat at Midway Museum) and they're very much arcades.
  15. I think DCS just wants to focus more on the core simulation engine development and a few study sim aircraft, but is relying on the third party developers to supplement community wishes in terms of various selection of aircraft and varying degrees of detail.
  16. I've noticed on some civilian traffic (like the buses), the collision boxes are mere cubes inside the center of the vehicle. So I guess they're still there, but not modeled to match the visual shape of the vehicle.
  17. MQ-9 controllable as a part of Combined Arms.... ideas ideas...
  18. Oh how I would love to have a DCS: TU-22M3 or DCS: B-52H or DCS: B-1B... imagine if multi-crew also worked :pilotfly:
  19. OK I hate to be the debbie downer of the group, but having played DCS/ED sims since LOMAC 1.0, if I buy stang now... are we potentially going to see a stang 2 for another $9.99-19.99? :joystick: Wrestling with their sales model, as I always think they're going to one better my recent purchase with another paid upgrade.
  20. Nice. I can finally get off the ground now LOL  Would really love to see more guides like this!!
  21. Here you go. Don't know if it's the latest one. SFJackBauer A-10C X-52 Profile.zip
  22. Using a Philips SPC 900NC and v1.6 of FTNIR, I can't get the cam to initiate. I hit start, the cam's light blinks, and nothing happens. Anyone experience this?
  23. Ok thought so. Thanks guys!
  24. What FPS should I be expecting on these specs: 3.2GHz P4 Northwood Hyperthread 2GB PC3200 Dual Channel Sapphire X1950 PRO 512MB on Catalyst 8.12 w/dedicated VGA PSU Western Digital 640GB SE16 running on SATA1.5 (old mobo ASUS P4C800E-DLX) Enermax 500w 80+ PSU Win XP SP3 Running BS @ 1680x1050 or less, settings on low, med, or high, I get around 20FPS or lower. But the difference between low and high is like 1FPS. During explosions, 5 FPS
  25. I too face this problem. 5 minute loading times. But I run a 3.2ghz P4 Northwood, 2GB PC3200 Dual Channel, Sapphire X1950PRO AGP 512MB w/Catalyst 8.12, 640GB Western Digital HDD on SATA1.5. No matter if settings are set to LOW or HIGH (1680x1050 or lower), it's always around 5 minutes. :\ Frame rate is also around 20 or less too. This is all on a fresh install of WinXP SP3. No AV installed.
