should the tanker show up on the TAD anyway? i mean most other aircraft have a symbol as part of the friends or foe system dont they? PS if the awacs gives you a bearing from the bullseye you can work out where he is, if Awacs says Bullseye 180 at 20, hes 20 miles south of the bullseye =)

connect the ground power, turn on the battery and Inverter, turn on Nav system. Then you can alighn while setting the aircraft up =).

yes and CBUs work really well on Casinos =)

dont forget its a good idea to know you max fuel load you can carry if you are doing A2A somewhere in the mission. You can easily go overweight from that =).

i keep getting my ass handed to me in Shogun2 no matter what I do the enemy always steamrollers me into the ground =(. They always have full stack armies even if they have only 1 starting area. Even on easy (i have no hope of playing on a higher setting) I mean I realise its supposed to be a challenge and thats what I expect but I cant even get started :cry: How people play on Legendary is frankly amazing. Im just to slow too old and too backward to play this :smilewink:. I think I will stick with what I know, flightsims and Arma2

i think they will cross that bridge when they get to it hehe. At the rate they make aircraft (about every 2 to 3 years?) alot can happen in that time. :pilotfly::joystick: Edit. I thought I read somewhere that amphibious vehicles will cross rivers when the bridge is down so it seems they can float (or maybe they just cheat hehe)

i do know my wingman get "Refueling" on the mission brief after the flight bit I never get it. I have not been able to quite take the full amount in one go though so im asuming you have to get it all in one go =( I Need more practice :)

had an LED fail (L Engine) no big deal maybe but a sign of suspect parts :) Its a month old. Apart from that its fine and the Stick is still first class in feel and function, never seen such high quality. Pity the throttle was not made with the same care :cry: \\\\\\\\Edit\\\\\\\\ I have no idea why but now the LED is working again =) I didnt change anything it just stopped working for a few days and then It was back. Maybe it was on holiday +

as a avid user of Track IR since the DCS WH was in beta 1 I cannot fly without it. Ive not tried other tracking systems so cant comment on them but Ive never had any issues with my TIR5. PS I got TIR for the WH but now use it for everything including Arma2/FSX/Ka-50 :joystick:

I must admit your Mission is fantastic fun!! Its a really good way to learn to create Marks/WPs and hunt for targets instead of being told exactly where they are all the time =) I got a mission to take out a taskforce and went ahead and made the new Mission WP and took me 10 mins to find it was a mobile convoy on the road. (I was looking for a fix target cause im a noob:megalol:) Anyway I took out the AAA and prosecuted the remaining 5 tagets and went to get fuel. I would have continued but it was time for sleepies:joystick:. Anyway thanks for a great mission.

how can i get Modman 7.3 to see the DCS A-10c? its listing everything but the A-10 =( Bear in mind i know there is an update on the lockonfiles site but I cannot log in to download it. I tried resetting my password but the system wont sent the link to my email address so I cannot reset it atm. I would ask for help from the admins but I cannot contact anyone on the site. I click the contact admin option and it just says "Default mail client not is not properly installed" What ever im supposed to do with this info is beyond me. All i need its an address to send a request for help to =( PS I just tried to log in with Twitter and it says the page is invalid. I currently have no way to contact anyone about my Passwords.

agree the cockpit shadows look fantastic!!!! Best shadowing ive seen in a Sim. You guys are really reinventing Flight simming :joystick::pilotfly:

use the Mic switch (Hotas commands) for selecting AM/FM/UHF ect before trying to talk =)

hard to compare they really, they both have merits and are top of their field. I will be intrested in the upcoming Tac Pack for the VRS but no matter what they do the Bug will always be a Military Jet stuck in a Civilian Sim. I would say the flight models are both utterly fantastic, if you have flown the VRS bug you will know what I mean. The A-10c is a pleasure to fly and fight in. They both have extensive systems modeling and are complex but the A-10c wins on pure systems that are actualy modeled and functional. If you have FSX and some decent scenery areas (Orbx for instance) and a carrier addon its can be very rewarding to fly off the carrier and explore the amazing scenery and shoot the 3 wire on your return :joystick:

well im happy with the WH stick, its awsome and has a quality feel to it. No dead zones or sloppyness. Compared to my old x52 pro is like comparing a Nissan Micra to a Bugatti Veyron. Comes at a price though :)
