When is this update due to be released?

I agree, it's all I've been flying and I have a great time in it even how it is now. F-16 is my favorite bird so it's a must have for me, I'd rather have it the way it is than watch Wags fly it on Youtube. I feel (just my opinion dont kill me) the whole "learning things wrong" argument is overrated, it should be simple to just adapt. Love this bird, love that it's out, love dropping bombs killing things and refueling, IFF helped immensely. :pilotfly:

I recently switched to VR and will not be going back. I actually tried my TrackIR again last night while setting up VoiceAttack, the game looks so beautiful but all the immersion is gone in 2D. I had a choice when I picked up my Rift S, get a video card now or get the Rift S and get the video card later. I couldn't help it and went for the Rift S instead figuring if it didn't work with my 980ti I could return it and upgrade the video card. Rift S never made it back to Best Buy..lol After tweaking some settings and OC'ing my 980ti I have a decent enough experience that I can wait until I save up for a 2080 Super. As for the T16000M I also own this stick, throttle, and rudder and after multiple purchases and quality issues with the X-52 Pro (I bought three at $150 each and all of them went out of whack in about 6-8 months) I am very happy with the T16K. The rudders do take some getting used to but once you get used to it they work very well. In short, I fully recommend VR, the feeling of being there, the feeling of falling, the immersion is just incredible and well worth it. I will never go back to TrackIR again. Whatever you choose I hope you enjoy your DCS experience.

I set UHF function knob to both, click on Comm 1 and set it to 253.00 for the server I am in.

Hello Guys, SRS works for me if I do an auto start but I cannot figure out what I am missing when I do a manual quick start. I turn my radios on and tune to the channel on the DED using the Comms ICP buttons, I also make sure I am in ICP on the IFF panel. I tried watching the auto start to see what I am missing but it goes by too fast, has this happened to anyone else? Thanks

I completely agree, once it was done it was far less painful than I anticipated. I honestly haven't restored most of my "crap" from my external drive. As for VR I can't wait until I can upgrade my video card in a month or so and add more RAM, I love it and I will never go back to TrackIR...EVER...lol. All the hassle and pain was very, very worth it even with my outdated system. i7 6700K 16 GB RAM 980TI I'm not sure which video card to get, thinking of a RTX 2080 Super for now and a 2080TI next year. I'm just now sure what works better for DCS, some people swear by the 1080TI but since it's older technology I'm not so sure it's worth an investment at this point in time.

Thanks for the suggestion! I tried these steps with support, the problem was my dynamic drive, after reinstalling Windows the issue was resolved. I appreciate the help though!!

I normally redo my computer at least once a year but I ended up having so much stuff I was a afraid to lose (like Office) that I didn't do it for a long time. After reinstalling Windows the installation kicked off without a problem. Oculus support was pretty incredible they tried everything, I would like to thank all of you guys that made suggestions and do apologize for my original post 8 hours of trying to get something to work can take it's toll. I am downloading DCS and a couple of other games so I will be back in the skies in a few hours but in VR!

Yea I read it only likes C on the forums, I use the command for D drive but it says invalid drive. I actually got a hold of support via chat hoping they help me fix it.

I'm beginning to find out. It's a shame really since it's relatively affordable, going to have to find extra money for the HP one, not being able to install it or requiring someone redo their SDD Is a major strike. I really don't know which one is better HP or Rift S but affordability it goes to the Rift.

I submitted a ticket but they say it will take two business days for them to get back to me. I also checked all over forum there are a couple of workarounds but other than that not much information. I guess I'm just going to have to return it tomorrow. Update: Support actually got back to me, lets see what they say.

The Rift S software says I do not have enough space even though I do, my SSD is dynamic, says I need a basic drive. I tried to install the software to D drive from using the run window workaround but didn't work. Going on 5 hours now with it just sitting on my be just looking at me. Redoing Windows seems so extreme, downloading and installing a bunch of games and programs isn't how I want to spend my night, also if I forget to backup and lose something then I am screwed, not to mention I never moved DCS keys before. This seems so extreme for something I paid $400 for, I can't believe that in all my research I didn't come across this issue, it's a major issue. Sorry for not being more specific in the first post, thought I got everything in there.

Might not be the best place for this but this thread is more active than where I originally posted this and I was hoping someone would see it apologies but I'm extremely frustrated, I just wanted to see the game and the 16 in VR for the first time. My C drive is dynamic and I do not want to spend hours tonight redoing Windows and downloading games, not to mention if I forget to back a document up I cannot get it back. How can this issue not be fixed? How can you be expected to reformat after spending $400 on a product? It's maddening! I'm about to pull my hair out. Does anyone know of another possible workaround other than trying to install to another drive that is basic? (my D drive is basic but it wont install) Also, does this also happen with the HP Reverb or can the software be installed like a normal program? I appreciate any thought/help. Thanks!

Where can I find the news letter to read about AI changes?

I wasn't around for the Hornet release I bought it just after the Tomcat was released. As far as the Viper I absolutely love it, a damage model and even a basic IFF and I could fly it for a few months while other systems are truly ironed out without it being a problem for me. As of right now though I don't care, she's a blast it will come when it comes. :pilotfly:
