Here is a general idea I put in my head when I am landing: When you are on final for landing, think of the aircraft as always falling towards the runway. Your throttle is what you want to use to slow or increase your rate of descent. I usually just try and keep my flight path indicator hovering on top of the runway numbers. Each aircraft lands differently but this is a good place to start when grasping the idea.

I think T-Tail pilots prefer the 135 over the KC-10. I know were talking about the A-10 though!

I think a TV spot would work. Anyone watch the Military channel? All State car insurance and diabetes commercials galore. ED should higher Wilford Brimley to do the promo for them!

Where are all the Multi Player servers?
Stickers replied to hollywoody's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
Make sure youre not looking at the History tab when browsing the servers. Should be on Internet tab I believe. -
I am in love with this thread. Post more pics if you guys have them! :D

Hey BlackFallout, Keep playing and you'll get shot down sooner or later ;) Make sure you get on on TS!

I'm highly interested in what is going on over there right now. I struggle to find people irl to discuss it, so I bring it to you guys! What are your guys thoughts on the torpedo incident? What's the future for that part of the world? Will this blow over? War?

Any of you guys playing this? I am about 6 hours into it at the moment. Such an amazing game! I am highly addicted to the Poker for some reason. :D

You can get rearmed and refueled on the Runway, but I think you have to be completely off of it to get repaired.

Dude I couldn't agree with you more. I was screaming at my computer screen in the second video. Did any of these assholes do some research before they showed up in Moscow? So undeserving to be there. -
Tactics for combat against AI rotary threats

I have had some good luck shooting down Hinds with Vikhrs. You gotta see them before they see you though. Also don't forget to switch to AA mode so they detonate in proximity to the target. -
Oh I know they do. I am just thinking of the mission/national security issues that could come up. Specifically they are only allowed on boomers at the moment. I guess anything could happen though you know? Anyone could get sick/injured and might need to be removed from the boat to a hospital.

I feel good about this thread. Keep the jokes coming!

http://militarytimes.com/news/2010/04/navy_women_subs_042910w/ I don't think I am against it, but... What happens when one of them gets preggers? Surface the boat chief?

Played FC 2.0 online seriously for the first time on the 104th server today, I had such a blast! Tailpipe, Zapper, and the other guy I flew with, thank you so much for letting me join you guys! Never flew low-level through mountains with other humans like that before, so intense and fun!

The dual trigger on the C-17 serves for communication purposes. The first stage is for communicating with the crew throughout the plane, the second stage is for broadcasting a radio transmission.

This made me lol. I felt the same way!

Really interesting. I grew up near Edwards AFB, so it boggles my mind to think of tunnels running from Palmdale to Edwards. :shocking:

One of the crew members is still missing. I hope they find the guy. http://www.navy.mil/search/display.asp?story_id=52308 From U.S. 5th Fleet Public Affairs MANAMA, Bahrain (NNS) -- Search and rescue efforts continue for a missing crew member of an aircraft that crashed in the North Arabian Sea March 31. After radioing USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN 69) of the intent to conduct a controlled bailout, an E-2C Hawkeye from the Carrier Airborne Early Warning Squadron (VAW) 121 impacted the water approximately five miles from the ship. The E-2C was returning from conducting operations in support of Operation Enduring Freedom (OEF) when the aircraft experienced mechanical malfunctions. Two of the four crew members were rescued by an H-60 Seahawk helicopter from the Helicopter Anti-Submarine Squadron 5, and an H-60 helicopter from Helicopter Combat Support Squadron 26 rescued the third crew member. All three are in good condition without significant injuries. Search and rescue efforts for the fourth crew member continue. In addition to Eisenhower and her embarked aircraft, helicopters from guided missile destroyer USS Carney (DDG 64) and replenishment ship, USNS Supply (T-AOE 6), along with other air assets that include KC-10 and KC-135 tankers, P-3, U-2 and RC-135 aircraft are assisting in the search effort. The identities of the crewmen involved are being withheld pending notification of next-of-kin. The incident is under investigation. I don't want to give you the wrong information on what to buy. But this is what I did: I dusted off my LOMAC CD and installed LOMAC on my Windows 7 system and bought the $30 Flaming cliffs 2(ENG), DL'ed, installed it and everything is working great. Also its good to see another Bluesnews reader on here. I don't know if you post on Bluesnews at all, but all those posts in the Flaming Cliffs 2 news announcement were just ridiculous. -
I am having a hard time getting into this so far. Band of Brothers was 400 million times better. BUT! We will see.... :)

It's probably Michigan ANG. Maybe she was doing touch and goes and decided to grab lunch at KAPN? Could be a number of reasons, but normal. http://www.127wg.ang.af.mil/
