  1. you probably wanted to talk about the S77th-dedicated server, wich is almost allways available on HL - Lockon. VVS504, 169th Panthers and Jabog are also providing mp servers wich are also most of the time available on HL - Lockon, wich is a high contribution to the community. Most of the people are flying on those servers.
  2. thnx for the link Nate Dogg, sounds really interesting. As I enjoy flying also in fs2004, I will try it as soon as I get back from MAKS, next week!
  3. rgr on that, thnx for the detailed and clear explanation GG! very good news! :-)
  4. this is imo the best improvment in the forthcoming 1.11 patch... Lord have mercy! Could you explain, what has been done in order to reach that improvment? (ARH missiles FOV readjustments?)
  5. Спасибо Дмут! I'll do my best to find them there during my visit on Friday 19th and Saturday 20th of August. bSr.L()Csta, or anyone else who is going there, don't hesitate to give a shout at me if you see me. I'll be wearing the =4c= squad T-Shirt, with my nickname writen on my back. It be a pleasure to share some beers or glass of vodkas with some fellow lockon simmers. :-)
  6. Hi BearF If you want, you can add the =4c= squad link : http://www.4c-squad.co.yu greetings from the the good "bad guys" from the Balkans! ;-)
  7. Dmut, could you please indicate me where exactly that demo will be shown?
  8. I'll be there also, from August 18 till 21st (-> MAKS 19-20).
  9. Thnx for the kind words, bro! We did enjoy all our lockon meetings with you guys (S77 server, private sessions, lomac league matches), and hope we will have lots of good time flying and fighting together in the future. Allways a pleasure to fly with classy & skilled fellas! As for the league, most of us in =4c= were pretty busy in the first half of the year reason why we were not present as usual in the lockon sky, nor we participated in the league. As we're talking about the league and some experience, I would like to add also a very good experience with Jabog pilots. We beat them in the first match, but it was tight. Some time after, we did a rematch and they beat us, surprising us with some inovative and smart tactics. Also a bunch of good fellas with some nice teamwork skills. See you all soon in the air!
  10. could someone from ED advise if the above explained is a bug or not. And if yes, would it be fixed. thanking you in advance
  11. hehe, yes maybe, even though we know each others very well, and sure they know how we can do good with SU's, as we know how good they are on all planes. respect. but, that's not really the issue mate. we're talking about the magic fov problem here...
  12. This subject has been discussed on our squad forum, while our squad mate =4c= Aleksa has giving us attention to a serious problem that he found out. As he does not speak english very good, he asked me to translate the post he wanted to submit here. So here it is: =4c= Aleksa wrote: I will start first with few questions: What is the FOV (Field of View) of ARH (Active Radar Homing) missiles? What is the range of ARH missiles depending on the target aspects (H2H or 6'o'clock)? Does the H2H target have the same signalisation on the ARH missile radar as the 6'o'clock target? here below Im giving you the link to a track that I've made where you can clearly see that the AIM120 & R77 have a FOV of much more than 120 degrees, wich imo seems to be crazy. You can also see how an ARH missile change the route for 90 degrees once it has aquired a target in its radar. What appears to me, is that the ARH missiles have a 180 degrees FOV, horizontal and vertical.... quiet deadly. also, that means that only MIG29 n' F-15 are the planes to choose for AA combats in LOCK ON, because they can carry ARH missiles, while the SU27 & SU33 can't. You just have to fire ARH missiles, turn your back and let the missiles with their "magic" FOV do the job, without taking any risks. easy, isn't it? Tell me if it's me that drinked too much of Sljivovitsa and saying nonsense or something needs to be done in order to correct that huge bug. here's the link to the tracks I've made : http://www.4c-squad.co.yu/temp/aleksa/fov.zip

  14. oh man, this pic made my jaws smashing the floor! here are some more about the FA-37 Talon "...This airplane has been making the rounds for several weeks now, with folks being a bit confused as to whether it is the real deal. On 18 June 2004 a scene for the upcoming Columbia Tri-Star movie "Stealth" was filmed on the flight deck aboard the Nimitz-class aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln (CVN 72). Lincoln was conducting local operations in preparation for an upcoming scheduled deployment after 10 months of dry docked Planned Incremental Availability (PIA). About 80 cast and crew members were aboard the Everett-based aircraft carrier to shoot scenes for the Columbia Pictures action film starring Josh Lucas, Jessica Biel and Sam Shepard, The $130 million film is expected to hit theaters in 2005. According to the back story, the F/A-37 "Talon" is a Mach 3.5, super cruise stealth fighter/bomber/interceptor with a 4000nm range. Top speed is somewhere in the Mach 4+ range. The movie is premised on an artificial-intelligence program designed to fly jet aircraft and reduce human casualties. Not surprisingly, one of the AI robo-pilots runs amok when Navy officials decide to use an unmanned version of the “Talon”. When the plane begins attacking friendly forces, Navy pilots are called in to save the planet from artificial intelligence. .." http://www.globalsecurity.org/military/systems/aircraft/fa-37.htm sure it looks damn nice!
