DCS 2.5.6 AND VPC AIRFIELD EQUIPMENT
Wolf359 replied to jsr9597's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Well, belay that one! Now I can't get the software to boot all the way up. It hangs at 10% on the initial splash screen. I waited 5 minutes and killed it. So here is the troubleshooting I did: - I erased the shader cache again. No change. - I had Voice Attack and TrackIR 5 running - Stopped VA - no change. - Stopped TrackIR - no change. - Stopped both - no change. - Tried starting from Updater and then directly from app - no change - Shut down my PC and booted up again - no change Right now, the software is unusable for me. Switching over to live release for now. -
DCS 2.5.6 AND VPC AIRFIELD EQUIPMENT

Hmm working fine today - as far as the things I pointed out above. The only thing I did was to delete shader cache. Not sure if that did the trick, but if so, good. -
DCS 2.5.6 AND VPC AIRFIELD EQUIPMENT

Right now, 2.5.6 is VERY, VERY slow to load. When it finally came up, it rebooted when I adjusted the volume level. Loading through the Updater is even slower - it lags on the sign-in. -
So, not feasible for someone who plays single-player mostly, right?

Someone help me understand. Just what is the supercarrier module for? Is it more for online/server activity? Is is more of a functioning terrain? Or will it occupy the existing terrain(s)? A server-based environment?

You should start a YouTube channel for your vids.

Ok. Thanks!

Is 144hz overkill? Looking at two curved screens; one is 75hz and the other 144hz, on a tight budget.

Right there. Nuff said. Truly. Because that sentence right there is every single person's Truth in this Life. There are a lot of folks who spout "truth", based on something they read, heard, or watched on TV. All they are doing is regurgitating someone else's words. So you read something in a book, that SOMEONE ELSE says is truth, yet it doesn't hold true with what you've experienced, right? Even Buddha said, (paraphrasing) "Don't believe anything you read or hear, even if it comes from me, if it does not hold True with your own common sense." Much of the "truth" problem comes from humanity's arrogance, to believe we have all the answers and know everything. The more accurate point is that we have some vast understanding based on what is known at this point. I can place a green apple in the middle of the table. You can whine all you want that it isn't even an apple; it isn't even organic. You don't even believe in apples. None of that changes the fact that there is a green apple in the middle of the table. We are each the Truth of our experiences, regardless of what others SAY is the truth, or try to tell us.

What a perfect suggestion!

So the short and tall have different agendas. What is their use of the astral plane (dimension; not aircraft)?

What is the true purpose of the greys?

Severe Critical Bug in ALL Windows, patch it TODAY..

So it's NOT for all Windows; just Windows 7? -
I am he as you are he as you are me, And we are all together

I make it a habit to always land and shutdown on any mission, just to give me the experience of always landing (and thereby getting better at it) and performing standard shutdown to end the mission. I would REALLY love to be able to exit the cockpit after all done.

@ Draconus - You were spot on. I thought being that the SU29 was showing up in the USA list that all of the Russian aircraft should do so! That's what I get for thinking. @ Nikola - That worked! I uninstalled all three, then installed FC3 first, then the other two stand-a-lones and all is fine now. Thank you both!
-
Ok, got it.

Just a heads up: when you add the rudder pedals DCS will freak out a bit and assign thrust, pitch and yaw to it. You will have to go clear those settings so that they don't conflict with your stick bindings. Then you are good to go! You can bind the toe brakes as well.
-
When I click the drop-down menu of a non-FC3 mission, I have different aircraft available than in an FC-3 mission. I will try what you said, Nikola, and disable the stand-alone packs and install the FC3 pack only.
-
I just purchased FC3. I had previously purchased the A-10A and F-15C seperately. I can go into mission editor and set up what I want and add all my aircraft to the map, to be selected at the client. However, after installing FC3, the two aircraft mention above are NOT in my list of aircraft to choose from. Nor are any of the others that come with FC3, with the exception of the SU-27. Now, flip that around. If I open an FC3 mission in editor, I can choose from ALL my aircraft. What gives? I would hate to have to go into my missions and reset them all up from inside a FC3 mission just to be able to choose from all my aircraft.

Hornet doesn't have proper controls..???
Wolf359 replied to Pitufo's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
I have the X56 and I bound the speed brakes to the rocker switch on the throttle, near the pinky finger. -
Yes. When I had my Tflight setup, I assigned that rocker on the throttle to zoom in/out. You could also assign to air brakes extend/retract, and such, because each side of that rocker is a specified button assignment.
-
Yeah. I like the width. My knees aren't knocking together. The weight is dispersed better and the pedals are a bit higher than the TFRP. I like it so far.
