  1. As long as you leave the software running in an open window (not minimized to the task bar), then ALT+TAB will navigate you through the open windows. I do it all the time if I am running a tutorial on Youtube. So set TrackIR NOT to minimize to the task bar, then you can navigate to it as needed. Same if you are using VoiceAttack.
  2. Here is the bigger question that will answer this question: Is there ANY clickable cockpit available for any aircraft that is still in use? The F15C was taken out of combat, but it is still in use.
  3. Former IT here. I am on a DDR3 platform (XPS 8500 i7 3.4ghz) and upgraded from 16 to 32gb last week, running Windows 10, and operating on SSD. I noticed a difference in overall system performance. Like some have said here, I turned off virtual memory. There is a video by Spudnocker for system and DCS tweaks for performance that I tried, and got good results.
  4. Follow up on clip vs pro. There is definitely a difference in tracking; I experienced very limited movement when looking at the side panels in the cockpit when using the hat clip, and absolutely no issues when using the pro clip. I was in the F16 and couldn't look down/back to set nav without TrackIR freaking out, when I was wearing the hat clip.

    Rudder Pedals?

    Crickets...
  6. @ Hollywood, BlueRaven, Tusker - Good info, gents! Thank you. Will try tweaking when I get off work.
  7. What are most of you gents using for PTT? Are you letting the software operate via joystick? I have it using my throttle (X56) but would like to simplify it down to one button - auto?
  8. A great tip! Thanks so much. It works great.

    Rudder Pedals?

How do the rudder pedals hold up? Currently using TM pedals, and they're a bit narrow. Looks like the Logitech/Saitek pedals are wider. Are they worth the money?
  10. Mind blown, here. Then what exactly do you use TrackIR for?
  11. Maybe a dumb question here, but why the need to turn on/off during a flight?
  12. I would think that anything even NEAR current would be a simplified module. Two reasons: information not being declassified, and they're not going to let you train to go steal active planes. Am I right? :D
  13. The DCS Updater Utility does all this for you. No need for all those command line steps.
  14. Ok. Will do. Thanks!
  15. How long before updates released on open beta come to the stable platform? Curious because there was an update to the Viper a few weeks ago, but doesn't appear to be on the SP yet. And the Hornet is getting a big update this week to OB.
  16. Yeah, I select the profile saved. So far, about the only thing the software is good for is changing the lighting colors.
  17. I don't get responses in the F-18 either. Would this have anything to do with the real GL having no inbound/outbound contact?
  18. That's a great article! I thought they set up wires on the airstrip as well, but nope. Just the boxed area. Yeah, this would be a nice option in the mission editor.
  19. Is it just me or is the Logitech software just crap? I have the X56 (new grey) and it is working great. I just want to set up the knobs and mini sticks that DCS doesn't recognize and use in addition to everything I have mapped in DCS. Nothing works. I think it's better to just delete the software. The drivers alone are enough to run on DCS. Right?
  20. We go through so many things in life where we end up in a plateau. Sometimes it just takes patience and persistence. Like a lot of these guys have said, mix it up. Maybe try a new module? I was the opposite: I gave up on flight sims because of the lack of anything decent outside of MS FSX. It was to the point that I was excited for Ace Combat 7 for the PS4, and jumped on it. THEN, a coworker walked up to me and asked if I'd ever heard of DCS - and that was all she wrote! So if you're feeling a bit burned out, then take a rest and come back to it when you get the itch. Or if you think you might be just bored with the modules you have, try a new one. You know a Christmas sale is coming soon! :music_whistling:
  21. I downloaded Spudknocker's profile and it works fantastic! However, when I try to stop on a switch to click it, the slightest move and I'm either clicking the wrong switch or nothing at all. Do I need to ad a dead zone to the profile?
  22. statrekmike is right. It is a LOT easier to set up/map your own buttons and controls than it is to try to memorize someone else's setup. I tried using two profiles that were uploaded and quickly dumped them in favor of me setting them up, myself. I had to convince a friend of mine the same thing because he wanted me to map his buttons for him.
  23. Thanks for the heads up. I JUST updated to 1.8 yesterday.
  24. Nevermind that question. Copy/Paste!
  25. Absolutely right! Thank you!
