  1. You don't necessarily need the shaders mod, all you need are those edits to the graphics.lua and terrainoptions41.lua.
  2. Yeah I wouldn't recommended this for VR at all with the current tech, in 2D however it works very well provided you have good hardware.

  4. All scenery objects, trees etc will be affected try it and see - just be mindful that it affects FPS so be sure not to push this parameter too far.

I believe he might have been using an older version of terrainoptions41.lua, the raised values in the newer file are there to cope with greater levels of scenery objects so draw distances can be pushed higher by the user, for example as mentioned in this post https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=4466680&postcount=90

Naturally there is an FPS hit but the enhancement to visuals is well worth it so long as your PC can cope with it as you can see the graphics.lua is edited directly here and 3.0 is used for Extreme. You *will* need to raise the memory buffer size for the render instancer so you don't get any visual pop-in, you can obtain this via this edited terrainoptions41.lua (place into DCS World OpenBeta\Config\terrain folder)
  7. You can do either, it'll be fine.
  8. For ages now I have disabled vsync in DCS options and use the Frame rate limit option in nvidia control panel set to 60fps along with the Fast Sync setting, never a problem anywhere in DCS or any other game.
  9. You can manually remove the flatshadow.hlsl from the archive yourself using Winrar or 7zip, it takes just a matter of seconds, I will be keeping this portion of the mod in the pack for the time being.

  13. Files verified working with current openbeta, and is quite beneficial for the Syria map. edit: this mod will be merged into the newer DCS shaders package.
  14. Draw distance is dictated by the distancFactor parameter yes, 1.5 is the default for Extreme so I use 3.0 which is twice the 'bubble' size. P.S - mod package updated to 1.06 in first post.
  15. Edit within the graphics.lua (distancFactor = 3.0 enforced for Extreme visibility) so while it's not shader related I just thought I'd mention that.

  17. Tested and verified working fine in todays DCS openbeta 2.5.6.53756.
  18. I just quickly make a direct edit to my options.lua (\Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Config folder) and change line 7 to false or true.
  19. 3_OP_Leopard_V2d includes a working CTLD and now allows clients to deploy crate units.

  21. I'll make some screenshots at some point but I have altered the underlay forest texture for winter and added an alternative winter texture for FARPs - I was planning on adding my own version of snowier tree textures but it hasn't worked out as I wanted it to so that's on hold for now.

  23. The watercompose.hlsl is only affecting IC on first time use (as mentioned in first post) give it a try on subsequent loads and you'll see IC stabilise.
