In the 104th missions I've been adding varying degrees of dynamic weather so I'm not against that, it's just that the fog seems unnecessary (and looks ugly) given that there is overwhelming haze even with the default weather. @Alpenwolf you don't have to change this just for me, if it's upsetting others just leave it enabled.
  3. Stuck in limbo here and it sucks, ordered a 3080 from SCAN computers thinking I'd recieve the card last friday and now I'm left hanging......and I'm not the only one, there are many all over in the same situ :(

You can visibly tell the difference if it's working or not, image quality is substancially improved try it yourself and see. edit: here was an encoder test I did a short time ago today, I'm using 4xMSAA along with 4xSGSSAA (RTX 2080 8gb) at 1920x1080. P.S: Sparse Grid also works in VR, massively reduces shimmer on textures/edges.
  9. I use nvidia profile inspector, you get to tune additional settings such as Sparse Grid SSAA which works very well alongside the DCS 4 x MSAA setting.
  10. Not sure what you're asking really, but you could just raise the gamma manually in options?

Got a ZOTAC 3080 Trinity arriving here tomorrow morning, it was a struggle to secure one but I did it - will be streaming with DCS World in the usual place as soon as it's plugged in and running.   12. I wonder if any of the reviewers used the proper driver branch for their 3080s, v455.xx series come out tomorrow and I doubt any of them used this version (current 425 drivers recognize the 3080 but I'm not sure if they're fully optimized)

  14. Any idea when the server will get a restart? The scores are really messed up (get 1 kill you suddenly have 30 or a 1 death and you have 30 etc)

  19. Small update today to v1.08, adjusted wave foam in rough seas to be less white at higher alt and included firevehicle.lua for burning units.
  20. They will both have the same levels of performance, the higher instancer buffer just allows higher draw distances if the user chooses to do so.

  22. You don't necessarily need the shaders mod, all you need are those edits to the graphics.lua and terrainoptions41.lua.
  23. Yeah I wouldn't recommended this for VR at all with the current tech, in 2D however it works very well provided you have good hardware.
  24. The removal of the rep system marked the start of the whole 'I'm offended' generation :D
