Bug is still present as of the latest patch.

The Huey and Shark being a decade into development means they've had a lot more refinements that we've yet to receive with the AH-64 at this point. Since the most recent patch was primarily bug fixes and a few SAS mods, it's not exactly there yet, though by no means is it unusable. My experience with the recent patch has resulted in fewer SAS saturation advisories, a more aggressive collective SAS channel, and a less authoritative attitude hold. There have been no major changes that I can perceive beyond that.

I haven't noticed any changes. Some tanks like the Leclerc are resistant to frontal shots, but flank, rear, or turret are usually one hit KO.

No, the AGM-114L is an active radar homing missile. Using TADS gives the missile the information needed to track the target, like range, velocity, etc. and then it turns on its own seeker at a certain distance from the target.

Sadly no, there was a BS1 to BS2 upgrade for a while but it is no longer available. The only option at this point would be to buy BS3.

That source indicates the 2000+ added CCD TV and LST among other features. I've seen other references that say the 2000 was introduced in '98, so it's possible the 2000+ was introduced a couple years later. Whether or not the USAF bought into them is another question.

Do we know if the LANTIRN variant will be the original or one of the upgraded variants? I've seen some references to a LANTIRN-2000 and LANTIRN ER, with some pods upgraded with a CCD TV capability. Outside of jumping into the front seat, you can use the TSD to generate a target point where he's looking via the cursor. CAQ for rapid setting, otherwise the point menu if you have time to stabilize.

Until TADS gets the LST capability, you can use AGM-114's seeker as a pseudo LST. Have the missiles selected with the appropriate code set and set acquisition source to "SKR".

I've only perceived incremental changes since release, nothing major or groundbreaking. As of the latest patch, I've noticed no real changes to handling. I suspect for most people that the larger problem is sticks with springs that are far too stiff/strong for the smaller center adjustments needed for helicopters. It can be done, but it takes a lot of practice. Like bradmick says, it's more likely that players have stuck with it long enough to acclimatize to the characteristics.

LMC sensitivity is also dependent on your range setting or laser range as well as your FOV setting. If you're zoomed in and range is set to 8km, it will be very slow, whereas zoomed out at 500m will allow it to jump around fairly quickly.

George now defaults to no weapon/laser. AI control helper short left press should cycle through his weapons.

It's a way to make sure you're not going to fly into the dirt or the nearest tree as you're likely using the NVS for pilotage.

If in the CPG seat using NVS, you must turn NVS off to sight select TADS.

Yes, I've seen some pictures from the 80s where they removed the MMS and a few from Afghanistan. Really rare as I can only find images from Prime Chance.

After a system reboot, the flag shifted to yellow, so I'm not sure if I had a cache problem or what. The game was updated since I had the new MT exe and ran it with others in multiplayer.

No mods in place and used both repair types, flag remains as in the above screenshot. Good to know that the rocket fix note is in error; will remember to apply Kentucky elevation tables going forward.

No effect from a repair:

A couple of the fixes indicated in today's patch log don't seem to have taken effect: - Standby horizon "OFF" flag is still red. - M151 PD rockets have no ballistic calculation change. I haven't been able to check the multicrew but most of the other fixes like FCR weight and HMD boresight seem to be present.

Can you tell Petrovich to select AT-6 again? Alternatively, if you take one of each type of missile, can you get tone with all of them?

Double tapping the cursor is supposed to shift it but if it doesn't, you can use the Cursor L/R binding to shift it between screens.

What was your loadout?

Yes, working as intended. The control measures are static points that are currently auto-populated based upon the current position of the group(s) at helicopter startup. The only way to move them would be to delete the measure and recreate it at a new position manually.

The M230 is more of a grenade launcher than it is a cannon. Think of it more as a cross between the old M129 and M197 weapons to get similar characteristics as both of them. It shines more in indirect fire than direct fire and the turret facilitates this quite well. The other piece is that armor penetration of the M789 is slightly better than the (presumed) 3UBR6 round employed by the 2A42 in the Ka-50, as well as being more uniform in this parameter across the effective firing range. Up close (<500m) the 2A42's AP might outperform, of course, but I don't have any data for anything closer.

Is this bug still being tracked? I've been seeing it crop up a lot as more players get familiar with the CPG and TADS.
