  1. Good stuff, haven't tested much so far but have gained about 14fps in the cockpit just sitting on the runway at Kutasi :) Also a significant reduction in load time too!
  2. Manual is correct, large needle points to 10's on the outer ring. so from 0..10m, 20m, 30m, 40m, 50m (first thicker line between 0 and 1), up to 1 which = 100m and so on. Small needle is 1000's each small line on the inner dial = 1000m. 5100m would = inner dial small needle pointing to 5 and the outer dial large needle pointing to 1 5200m would = inner dial small needle pointing to 5 and the outer dial large needle pointing to 2
  3. As Kuky said it shouldn't be on by default hot start or not. When the tab is moved and the switch is flipped in the up position the red light below illuminates as shown in the picture below. In this state it is on and bomb fuses will be active.
  4. Brilliant! Thanks Cobra! No worries if not but glad to know it might well be :)
  5. Make sure the tactical release switch is set (behind stick on centre panel). If it's not the bombs won't be fused and therefore won't detonate. Pg. 142 in the manual
  6. Awesome work guys, you're doing a stellar job  Just to ask didn't see it on the list but did the Arc NPP pointer issue make it into this update?

    Arc Beacon Map

Anybody have any higher resolution images for the Arc nav beacon positions at all? I find the one on the kneeboard a little hard to read in terms of seeing which landmarks/airfields may be in relation to the beacons etc.
  11. Said thanks in the Kneeboard thread but will say it again here thank you :) Great addition to the kneeboard. @impalor you have a couple of choices but the simplest one is C:\Users\username\Saved Games\DCS\Kneeboard\ If you don't have a kneeboard folder there create one, then R.CTRL + Left Arrow to cycle back to the custom pages in the kneeboard after you bring it up.
  12. Afaik there is currently a bug where actually mouse clicking on the trimmer button does not work. It does work fine however if use the keyboard command or map it to your hotas.
  13. Early morning flight :)
  14. That's great! thank you :)

    Bombs Tutorial

Thanks to all three of you guys for the pointer, nose cone was on, but after further watching a track of what happened it is most certainly a zero G issue as you said from me manoeuvring badly. Many thanks again much appreciated, will be sure to keep my eye on it now.

    Bombs Tutorial

Having a hell of a time working out where I am going wrong with this tutorial. Every single time I manage to kill my engine when pulling out of the dive leaving me stranded. I am attempting to follow instruction, turning in then diving at greater than 30 degrees at the same time slowly bringing the throttle to idle and breaking out of the dive at greater than 0.6km speed <900 and ensuring I don't exceed 5g etc. But each and every time without fail the engine dies and warning panel shows DC generator error. Have not so far experienced engine stoppage aside from running out of fuel once, am guessing it is something to do with all the additional weight that I am not used to yet and something to do with my break. Any tips as to where I am going wrong with this?
  20. Well in terms of custom content it's mostly better to try keep as much as allowable outside of the main DCS directory otherwise you run the risk of it being overwritten when updating, although I don't think it would be an issue in this case, either location would be fine. There is also a thread here > http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=131165 by Buzzles which shows how to fix the Mig custom sub directory in Saved games/kneeboard/ if you don't want the custom pages in the main kneeboard directory. As far as the custom lua, as far as I know it just allows you to pull images from whichever place you would like into your kneeboard instead of having to follow either the saved games dir. or the kneeboard folder in the mods/aircraft/mig folder.
  21. If you wan't the startup list from the manual on your kneeboard I uploaded mine in this thread > http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=2183787#post2183787
  22. +1 Would also like to see "proper" steering as an option, feel like I am missing a good chunk of the ground experience when the Mig currently taxi's as if it had full NWS.
  23. Nevemind, after a 2nd restart of my PC all seems to be fine again
  24. Just to follow up weirdly it appears that the corruption is only happening on one LOD (provided the cockpit is LOD'd ?) First image at normal seating position - 2nd image zoomed in on that area.
  25. Not really sure what happened, had no issues yesterday at all and have not installed or changed anything since then, booted up DCS this morning and now have texture corruption on the areas circled in the image below. Have run a repair on DCS using the updater.exe but it hasn't fixed the issue. None of the other aircraft I own seem to be suffering from this. Also to add the areas circled are the same areas every single time so doesn't appear to be random driver corruption etc. This occurs in both mission editor with a fresh mission and also in the tutorial missions. Any ideas what happened or what I can do to fix this?
