reported New bug, we can't manually command Petrovitch AI to fire ATGMs!
Darkowl replied to gzj3401's topic in Bugs and Problems
Well I can select a target from the list and fire the Missile, but that works only if the Petrovitch ai symbology is present. That worked different before. It was case sensitive. That was way better. -

For me the list of targets pops up but I can't scroll nor select any targets. The entire key bindings of the section "Mi-24P Petrovich AI Helper" does not show any function. Reassigning the buttons even to an other controller did not do a difference. This occurs in single and multiplayer. -
How to find which map is being used for the mission?
Darkowl replied to scrapple's topic in Mission Editor
I would like to point out that env.mission.theatre is only available in the Mission editor environment. If you need that in a hook, you have to get the mission table with DCS.getCurrentMission() at first. That brings up the mission file as a table. If you need the map, you may do map = (DCS.getCurrentMission().mission.theatre) Took me a while to realize that the first level of the table is mission. -
It seem that the keybinding of the starter panel is mixed up. The keybinding for select left engine selects the right engine and the other way around. It is not really a problem because you can set it up as you like, but it is wrong. Thank you for your work on the Hind, it is a great module.

I just checked it and it works so far. @sirrah You have to make sure to set a lower DCS resolution than your actual Monitor / Windows resolution. Otherwise the mirror is just your system resolution and not smaller.
-
I do have the same Problem. When you start DCS for WMR it automatically mirrors a second instance. It is possible to minimize that window but I don't know how to force it to only one ore none mirroring. Any advise would be highly appreciated.

That does happen in the G1 as well. I often see that happening with contrails. I thought that is an issue related to render distance. If so it should not be bound to a specific Headset.

You could start up a dedicated server on a different pc than login and play. https://forums.eagle.ru/topic/204980-dcs-world-open-beta-dedicated-server/

Thank you for sharing your experience.

Hello Bbow, would you like to say something about the performance difference in DCS between them both?

I have the sad task to inform you that this server has come to an end. Greg O. (LRRP) has died early 2020. I will keep the hours we had in good memory. May he rest in peace!

Some pictures from the last weekly mission. Thanks to everyone taking part and especially Dawger for creating that mission. :pilotfly:

Another approach would be to use a cheap arduino board. Define yout switch as input and send out 3 pulses when it is pressed. That is easy to be done in the arduino ide.

Operation Secret Squirrel - F-86 Sabre vs MiG-15bis
Darkowl replied to Surrexen's topic in User Created Missions General
Just had a fly on PROPNUTS server and would like to thank you for your work designing that mission. The Sabre is great and you put her into an awesome context. Cheers, Stephan -
If you havent changed anything I can take a look myself on the mission file. I hope you enjoyed it as well.,I think we will soon come around again. Cheers, Stephan

We dropped by last night and had a nice action loaded evening on your server. I had issues with dialing in on the NDB's at 688 and I think it was 355. I had no problems reaching Batumi so I assume my radio was good. Is it possible that they were shut off? Thanks for serving, Stephan

Sounds good, can't wait to take a look at it. The Sabre is a great module I love to fly her.

Pretty sure this is not a thread for the English section Well that is true but you can't shift it to the German Thread page anymore, because it now contains english comments as well :music_whistling: Da Du mir leider nicht schreibst wo sich Dein Bruder in deinem Netzwerk befindet, versuch ich es mal mit raten.

EasyJoy32 v4 (v3.5) with EasyControl
Darkowl replied to FoxHoundcn's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I can only find the EasyControlRepair file. When you start it you can choose the version you want to rebuild in the right window. That is creating a folder with the chosen version number and an executable. Unfortunately the start of that .exe brings up a background picture of the fox and thats it for me. If anyone gets further please drop a note. -
Mr FoxHoundcn you created a very imressing piece of software here. I asked a seller on aliexpress if he could provide me a board and he came up with three different ones. In your starting post you stated that the software is only for the STM32C8T6 but the other Boards have different Controllers they are all CortexM3 by STM but with different packages. Are all these boards compatible with your software? Could you point out the differences? At least the version 3.5 seems to have one set of shift registers already on Board. Thank you for your work that will be very useful to a lot of simmers out there. Cheers Stephan
