Definitely Batumi, the Landing Tutorial in the A10 briefly mentions the PAPI. I swore i saw PAPI lights at another field (Fast Mission), Lochini must have been it. I was thinking Vaziani. NEAT! Thats a good thing. Ill start flying out of Tblisi now. Quick missions out of Batumi, are always very small. Thanks man

The handles are fuel cutoff. You can control your engines this way if you have to. Although i havent been able to determine if it reduces the warthogs IR signature. Anyone want to try that? Warthogs IR signature, with and without the handles yanked. The shutoff happens pretty quickly. Fast enough to be used defensively, if you have to guts to stall your turbines in the middle of a fire-fight.

Didnt work. The slow repair and quick repair. The Cleanup tool located the 3 modules i tried copying.. the harrier was the only module it told me wasnt authorized, but it also deactivated the f86 mig15. I really appreciate the effort fellas. :) at this point the updates cost me a gig to download each time, itll be cheaper just to download the modules. i guess this one is going to be a mystery! Thanks for your time and effort.

just tried slow repair. copied the harrier over, still wouldnt authorize its use. im a little lost at this point. is it possible each version of DCS-BETA is registered to a different timezone? but uses the same user account and password? idk. i might have to bite the bullet here. i do appreciate, walking me through all this. i bet you guys answer the same question incessantly.

That worked for Authorization, Thank you. It still wont accept modules transferred from D:\ drive to my ssd C:\ drive. I fixed date and time, ran cleanup and repair from powershell. Deleted everything in mods\aircraft folder. then deleted users\saves\dcs (and dcs created a new one automatically) I downloaded the mi8.. and it worked. I copied the a10cii and f86f from d:\ to c:\, it asked for admin permission. then copies to mods\aircraft. EDIT: i deleted the AppData and authdata.bin you mentioned in the link when i boot, it says the A10c is unauthorized, (doesnt mention the f86). When i try to start a game, it shows the mi8 i downloaded, but does not show the a10 or the f86. Any final ideas? before i have to download a dozen modules and terrains (i have to pay for data unfortunately)

Id like to add that none of the modules are active. Even the one i copied earlier today that was working. the KA50. DCSW said "A10, harrier, and Hornet or disabled" but everything i copied is disabled too.. include the mi8, sabre and mig15. And Ka50 which was working.

reset computer, reinstalled DCSW on SSD drive. I have DCS on a HDD, i copied my KA50 from the Hard Drive to my SSD. Works fine. I just tried to copy 6 more modules.. This time i get an authorization failure. code 500. and the A10 Av8 and Hornet i copied are disabled. I own all these modules. recap.. copied ka50 over to new drive. worked. copied a10, harrier, hornet, mi8, mig15, f86c all at once. A10 Harrier and Hornet not authorized. EDIT: NO MODULES appear in game now. Both DCS folders (both beta versions) work fine. My password works on both. EDIT: No Modules listed anymore. (i turned off hibernation today, and i ran a windows debloat a few days ago)

Thank you. I was hoping playing from a SSD would clean up the blur from head movement, but it didnt. At least i dont have to download DCS twice. Thats a win in my book, Thanks Flaps.

i reinstalled windows, downloaded DCS and ran it from a 120gb SSD drive. Didnt work out Can i copy the entire DCS BETA folder to my 1TB HDD hard drive? Or will it continue to access the DCS files in my SSD drive, make saves to that drive, update to that drive etc. Will copying DCS to a new drive.. make it work entirely in THAT drive?

Well, i have the 1TB HDD. But head movement blurs gameplay. So, i was hoping to keep 1 or 2 modules on the SSD so i can finally enjoy DCS the way its meant to be. But im left wondering. Unfortunately no, the budget is too tight. 3gb GTX1080 anyway. Its not too bad, i get the most out of an old TrIR3, Logitek stick, and low settings. But this breaks me. If i cant copy the DCS Beta folder to the HDD, i might have to spend another 10 bucks just downloading the software.

Fresh system reinstall, chrome download, trackir3 download, DCS world download. Maxed the drive. I had to delete the chrome folder just to run the mandatory update. Even the mi8 0.7 gig module is too big. I have 1tb hard drive but it makes the game visuals jittery, it hangs, even on low settings it takes 30+ seconds for the game to settle when first loading. 120 GB ssd.. 80gigs of DCS, 20gigs of Windows. Something doesnt add up.

It official.. DCS and Windows will not fit on a 120gb ssd. Is there any DCS bloat and Windows bloat I can safely delete.. so i can play this game. As much as possible, but at least a few gigs. I just spent 10 dollars in data reinstalling, I'd like to fly somehing more than the Frogfoot. (Chrome was downloaded and folder deleted just so I could update Dcs world, perhaps Google Chrome hides a couple gigs outside the Chrome folder? Idk)

Id like to start one of the Black Shark Campaigns. Some are pretty old at this point, so i wanted to know which can be completed, and which of those you guys like the most. is Georgia Oil War, the same as Oil War #1, #2 and #3? Is Republic still working? Deployment and Medvedev? Thanks, Bart

Thats a Thursday. Last year it was the second week of Oct, the 19th i think. That was a Friday for us, or a Saturday on the other Hemisphere. Any reason you think the 29th is important? It COULD happen in 20 minutes. I mean, if it was to happen today it would be in 20 minutes.. i think my blood pressure just shot up lol. I already have buyers remorse!

Ive been setting my alarm, for Greenwich Mean Time, Moscow Time.. ive been averaging the past dates for the Autumn Sale, and the days of the week they fell on.. and have been repeatedly checking the website for the start of the Fall Sale. Needless to say im having a little buyers freak-out, a slight conniption fit. I know you guys at ED just forgot to start the sale on Monday, so i wanted to remind you Greenwich Mean Time rolls over in 39 minutes.. (and 20 seconds as i write this). So if you guys will just go ahead and press that big button on your desk that says "Start Autumn Sale" that would be great. Im not below doing questionable acts or taking verbal abuse if it will help.. dancing? sing a song? throw rocks at me? Whatever.. im cool.. im game. I need to be buying some modules. 35 minutes and 30 seconds till GMT makes the 21st... *taps watch*

Also, anyone reading this. We have to be honest about the Hind. The model we are getting has the side slung gun (this disappointed me, the turret was one of the reasons i wanted the hind. I dont like the BLack Sharks rifle, thats what we are getting in the Hind). The Hind was heavy and its stores are going to be the same as the Helos we already know. It going to Fight like the Black Shark and fly like the Mighty 8. A nice mixture of both. I think what you learn in the Hip is going to greatly influence your time in the Hind. Especially engine management and super heavy loads. Thank goodness ED goes balls to the wall for immersion. Because thats going to be a complicated cockpit, just like the Mi8. Im crossing my fingers for new systems and scopes. Something to set the Hind *Apart* from the mi8 and ka50. The Turret would have done that, but we will see soon enough.

The Mi8 is my favorite to fly. Its Chunky, its demands and commands respect. Its Hard, probably the hardest module to fly. But it feels good. It flies well. Its very immersive and the sling-loading has made me appreciate DCS on a whole new level. I consider it in my top 4 modules. 1 Warthog 2 Harrier 3 and either the Mirage or the Mighty 8. Its vortex ring effect is horrible, its generators are fidgety, its fire suppression is weak, and its not as nimble as the other copters. But it flies like a cadillac in racing slicks. Funny enough, i HATED the Black Shark. Ive bad mouth the Ka50 for 4 years. But after learning the Hip, and practicing, im back in the Black Shark. And im loving it. Due to the Mi8. I promise you, if you make the Mi8mtv2 work for you.. you will be a monster in the Black Shark. If you want tips dont be afraid to ask. Thats what i love about the DCS community. If you want the Black Shark to pay off, bind your trimmer button (i use it as an autopilot button.. basically an Autopilot bypass. Smash that trimmer switch and it will fly like a Sports Car for you) We are about to have a sale, and a new Mi8 campaign is out supposedly. If you like Helos the Hip is a good'n
