  1. I just stumbled over the AM FM confusion as I started the TEW3 campaign again with the A-10C II. I think the easiest way to avoid this kind of confusion would be to give the modulation in mission briefing/kneeboard. @baltic_dragon I don't know how you manage it in your campaigns now, but I think it would be better to make sure the player has set correct frequency and only proceed if he has. If it's possible to set a flag in case the correct frequency is set I would do something like If (frequency is set){ Play Mission Radio Call }Else { Play "Damn I got the wrong frequency" Message } Just having no radio call and no message at all is a bad experience.
  2. The night visibility issue can be solved by adjusting gamma setting to around 3.
  3. Polychop guys say it's that https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Transverse_flow_effect
  4. Yeah you are right. Did not notice cause I cancel it out by instinct right when it happens, but if you just push forward and don't counter she will lean very far to the left and enter a left hand turn.
  5. Mh. Now that say that with transition from forward flight to hover. Need to watch it again...
  6. By design she hovers with a 5 degree tilt to the right. Somebody posted a picture somewhere to demonstrate but I cant find it. The right roll on TO is there since FM update and I have been told it's correct. The left roll I don't notice. Could it be you overcompensate the right roll?
  7. Idk still does not feel right. Can't realy describe it, but it feels like if you do raise the collective "to fast" and I don't mean big jumps she looses lift completly for a second.
  8. Patch has applied thge changes, but defueling in mission does not reduce the same amount of weight, as setting fuel in ME. See this video. Test: Pad location 680 m asl, 24 ° C - start mission with 4 x HOT 3 and 100 % fuel - apply max torque available (85) - Heli climbs to 4 ft agl - reduce fuel to 50 % via ground crew - apply max torque available (85) - Heli climbs to 13 ft agl - reduce fuel to 50 % via ME - apply max torque available (85) - Heli climbs to with 100 m/m out of ground effect Gazelle-weight.miz
  9. My first attempt with diy force feedback was to write an adroid app that takes in a feed of info that you get from DCS API. I did build a simple G-Force rumbler but a Mobile Phone rumbler is to weak and I was not sattisfied with the result. I am pretty sure you can get vertikal speed from that API. If the HF8 would be more comftable I would have sticked with it as hardware platform, but now I think more about integrating the motors into the cussioning of the seat.
  10. Yes. Tuning down the effect was the First thing I did, but as I said, in helos you don't get the information of your flight state like in the Spitfire for example. In a helicopter you cant tell if you are in a drift, climbing or decending fast and those are the infos I expect from a device like that. I was thinking about writing my own software, but then I can also use an arduino and some cheap rumble motors for less than half the money. The lack of comfort was the killer after all.
  11. I received HF8 today. Took me an hour to make the decission to send it back to Amazon. The thickness has thrown off my seating position. The material made my ass and back sweat in minutes and the most important thing, it's useless for helos. It just rambles constantly and you don't get additional information about your flight state. Might be cool for fixed wing, but for choppers it is a waste of money.
  12. In the Lima station 1 and 2 will always fire the next missile from the left without switching between stations. You only need to select ether 1 or 2. Once the first missile is destroyed you can immediatly shoot the second without changing the station. Same goes for station 3 and 4. In the Mike only the left side, station 1 and 2 seem to be "connected" and can be shot without changing the station. Station 3 and 4 have to be selected independently. Follow these steps to recreate, can be done from the ground: - spawn Gazelle with 4 x HOT 3 - arm - select station 1 or 2 does not matter - shoot and destroy the missile on the ground or at a target - shooting cue will be back up as soon as missile explodes - hit the trigger again and see missile fly without changing the station
  13. Awesome. On a side note, it is the same for refueling in mission. Checked fuel consumption. That does affect weight. If the figures are correct is beyond my scope and will of testing P.S. nice to see, that your UH-60 adventure did drive you to Polychop.
  14. On the Enigma server I noticed that at around 700 m asl, with Hot-3, 35 % fuel and 85 torque you will not exceed 20 m agl. You are almost at power limit, as you cant aplly more than 90 torque at take off. In SP with the same load out set in mission editor and at the same weather conditions you have 200 m/m climb rate. With the said load out plus a recon group, you can't even get out of ground effect in the vertical. Landing with these conditions will almost always lead into a settle with power state and cause crashes. The only way to recreate the performance of the server in SP is by adding 200 kg internal cargo in ME. After some further testing I came to the conclusion, that defueling in the mission does not reduce weight, while setting it in ME does. Here is a video to demonstrate. Regard the performance differences when fuel is set in ME
