I play the SA342 Gazelle in DCS multiplayer. The role here is the FAC (forward air controller) where I spot and smoke targets for my team mates. I am using voice attack for the CTLD menue and SRS for coms.

Got a question here. It seems like the altitude channel is broken. When I apply it the chopper does pitch up and down and does the dolphine. When I don't use the channel it is butter smoth though and keeps perfect level at a given collective stage.

Nein und nein XD

Hab die Mod auch. Easy zu installieren und ein Unterschied wie Tag und Nacht. Empfehlung!

Two questions: 1: Does the big fire grow faster when more fire fighter choppers are in the game? Had a game where I started to fight it on my own and had it down to less than 35 cells. Then some more ff Mi-8s showed up but did not fight it and it went out of control fast with 200 cells. At 600 cells I left the server in frustration. 2: can you display a how to fire fight picture when some one pics a ff chopper in the briefing screen? I saw a lot of people dropping directly into the middle instead of the front line wich is useless according to your intel.

Yeah maybe the creators could add something like Haifa Dispatch missions. A lot of nice spots around Haifa with some tricky landings. https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/de/files/3313751/ It's my absolute go to mission when I want to do SAR offline. Everything is within 15nm around the Haifa area. So to say a more city related mission setting for those who have just 30 minutes to an hour to spare for this hobby.

closed Storm of War - DCS WWII / Historical Server
nazradu replied to philstyle's topic in Multiplayer
Hey guys can someone give me a short intel on how much time I have to invest if I want to primary do ground pounding stuff and wich aircraft to choose? Side does not matter. Would be nice to do something meaningfull in 30 to 45 minutes. -
Hi guys from Multiplayer Team. Discovered your servers yesterday and had a nice trip on Syria. Maiden flight with my Hip. No crash and 9 saved souls is not bad for a first flight. Something that bothered me a little bit was the distances that poped up when I was looking for SAR rescues. The closest mission was 60km out and most of the others more than 100km. This leads to about 1 hour mission time and I was tempted to leave the server again. I then took another Mi-8 slot and found something 35km out that I went to. If this is regular on your servers I don't know how often I will visit them due to time constraints. But I am glad it is there and I will check out the Caucasus map too.

Hi mate and thank you! No I don't have a squad or discord. Making the vids, flying for my own pleasure and RL takes all my time already. I will join a squad and open a discord once we evolve to beings that need no sleep XD

New vid is out. Managing rocket salvo. How to use ripple quantity selection.
-
I read this very often, but I think to remember that letting the wind stream towards your left side (the side towards torque pushes you) is recommend for hover states, so it assists your tail rotor.

New vid is out. This time unguided weapons.

How important is a pair of rudder pedals
nazradu replied to foxonefoxtwo's topic in DCS: Mi-24P Hind
It's doable to fly helos with twist, but I would not like to do it. If you are hooked by flight sims, rudder pedals are a very good investment. If you can afford some MFG Crosswind go for it. Due to heavy use I almost killed the cheaper Thrustmaster Flightpack pedals and after buying those MFGs I never look back. On the T1600 from Thrustmaster the rocker on the throttle is a good alternative, but peddals are a Game changer. @Hiob how is your feedback for the damper? Worth those 50 bucks? -
Transition from free flying to ground effect is quite violent.
nazradu replied to Frag's topic in DCS: Mi-24P Hind
I tried to make a video about it but I am so drilled that I have trouble getting myself into VRS without reflexes kicking in XD And I would not say that the Hind is more prone to it than other choppers like the Huey for example. It just lacks the visual clues. That's what makes it hard. -
It's not a Hind thing but an engine thing I think. If you equip a Huey with all guns and let go you have the same effect.

The main problem with a heavy chopper is the power state that you need to hover. It's possible to get to a point, lets say 12 degree plus on rotor pitch plus a high above sea level landing zone where your main rotor needs to produce so much torque and needs so much power from the engine that your tail rotor can't produce enough force to keep you straight. -
As a rule of thumb match decend rate to speed by /10/2. So while at 200kph 10m/s are totaly fine, at 100kph 5m/s are your absolut limit as you are close to the loss of TL. Below 100kph you should be alert when ever that VVI needle even wants to go towards 5m/s. If it goes past that you are in trouble.
-
If it's the original voice overs that's perfectly fine, as they are much better than the english ones.

Great! I'll give it a try next week! Did you use the 2.5.6 version as basis?
