Hi All, Just to let you all know that I have just uploaded version 01e of my StreamDeck XL Profile. I have started to go through the Cold Startup routine based on a document put together by Minky7 - https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3321322/ Version 01e can be found here - https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3321515/ I am moving on now to the Engine Start procedures now. The profile currently includes Pre Start, DMS Setup. All still very much work in progress Hope you enjoy Toni

Hi Fellow Aviators My start view, is a little skewed, and a little to close. I have no TrackIR enabled in the following view, just started DCS and went in to a test mission I have setup. Here is my start (Default) view How do I straighten this up, and pull back a little and then save it so that the new version is my Default View every time I start a mission moving forward? Thank you Toni

Hi All, Does anybody recall what you have to change to =true in what LUA so that when you hover over a control in 'Adjust Controls', the displayed tool tip will show you the Command and Device ID? Thanks Toni

@DP Spaz I too will update you as I go. I meant in my last MSAA x 2, SSAA was 1.5, but now off, below is where I am at currently @Yurgon Thank you for the information Toni

HI @DP Spaz I 'seem' to have solved my issue, for some unknown reason, and it wasn't me, I had both SSAA and MSAA enabled, which I know I did not change prior to this issue arising. Now that I have disabled SSAA, and only have MSAA enabled at 1.5 I think, it seems better, although the TEDAC seems to slow things down, as well as when pilot, enabling the night vision over lay, not the Goggles, the green rectangle that allows you to see through the cockpit for use with the Chain Gun I too have no issues at all with any other aircraft, only the AH-64D. I will however try what you have said, I am also going to back off the visibility distance as I am no where near as high in the sky as I was in with any plane, now nap of earth Still experimenting Toni

@Bailey I just wanted to add that I am sure it is not your great Homey cockpit mod, I suspect it is something different Did not mean to imply that it was your mod that caused the problem Toni

Well, this man is not in control of this pedals or stick in any productive way. I have flown helis for a long time, inc SA-342, UH-1 and UH-60L, and never experienced anything like this I am so desperate to try and harness this bird, but for now she is beating me in all kinds of ways. I have flown her everyday since day one, and she generally feels like something is very very wrong Anyway, enough frustration venting, does not help you with your issue, apologies for rambling Toni

@sobe I guess you already have tried this, but in case you haven't, I have myself found that running my StreamDeck XL and DCS OpenBeta both as Admin has solved an issue that I was having recently, never before, but something had changed Anyway, worked for me, thought I would suggest it Toni Also, version v.01d is released. Contains enhanced functionality, as well as many fixes / corrections https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3321515/ Toni

In fact, I forgot about my Backup software completely. I last did a full backup of stable and OB on 30/03/2022, so I will just delete what is in the folder, and restore the full backup Thank you for jogging my memory on that one Toni

Thanks Frosty TC

Hi All, Only when trying to fly the Apache today, I have gone back to the terrible Frame Rate that I had when the AH-64D came out on Day One. It is not so much of a Frame Rate issue, it is more like a set of screenshots being displayed. This all started when I installed the great Homey mod from Bailey that puts the conversions on the windows with a marker pen etc. I deleted that entire structure, hoping it would recover, but alas not I have deleted the fxo and metashaders folders, ran Cleanup and Repair, but still the same thing happens. I want to just clear out my OpenBeta folder and start again. How do I convert/copy my Stable to openBeta, and then allow it to update to the latest beta. I am trying to avoid having to download the whole program and the 20 or so modules I own from scratch Thanks in advance for any assistance that maybe provided Toni

Not read any of this thread, only saw it because you had commented on it. I thought the same thing on first reading, even though I knew that you had misunderstood what was written LOL Toni

@frostycab They are nice buttons, very different to the boring drab ones I created and used for my first StreamDeck XL profile for the F/A-18C. However, when I designed it I was brand new to the StreamDeck XL and associated DCS Interface, so I was going for, sort of keeping with the standard F/A-18C in cockpit - Here if interested, although be prepared for a bland, yet functional profile and icons - https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3319825/ I did all my own buttons for the AH-64D and just prior to release, I came across @pellelil icon set, and just thought to myself, why not use them as they really are excellent. Pelelil was kind enough to provide me with font information, so I have created a number of my own icons, based on his design and format, and then acknowledged and linked to his icon set when publishing my 'Pilot Only' version, and intend to do the same for the CPG screens As per this post, having no CPG experience, I am not aware of those controls that a CPG might need to access quickly, for I guess stuff that is not mapped to their control devices such as Joystick/Throttles/X-Box controller Toni

AH-64D Apache - Issues with pitch as 'Pilot'

@Zap921 Do you happen to have to hand the mission for long run in approaches that you used? Toni -
AH-64D Apache - Issues with pitch as 'Pilot'
Toni Carrera replied to Toni Carrera's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
@Zap921 Thank you, I am just doing some StreamDeck XL work and then I will do some flying later Toni -
Hi All, I am looking to do the CPG part of my StreamDeck XL profile as released for the 'Pilot' in User Files - https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3321515/ Apart from the standard various screens, Left MPD, Right MPD, Keyboard, TEDAC, I want to create a couple of groups for buttons/functions that would be useful for a CPG, that contains relevant buttons for providing common functions whilst using the gun, or missiles, or whatever. I do not want CPG's using this to have to access different screens when in the heat of battle As I have not fired a single thing in the Apache, and have only spent about 10 mins in the CPG position, I am in no way qualified to create such a useful screen(s). As with my Pilot one, I will make everything, where possible, all based around Command and Device ID's, and not keyboard shortcuts Thank you Toni

AH-64D Apache - Issues with pitch as 'Pilot'
Toni Carrera replied to Toni Carrera's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
Morning All, I can confirm that adding the cyclic manual curve as suggested by Leg2ion, as well as the advice from frostycab and zap921, and I am now in position where she is significantly more stable, even so much that I WAS Upped the Gun and managed a drive by shooting of a BTR and 2 bad guys Anyway, off to a mission where I can practice the landing approaches as suggested I thank you all for your effort and support, and time invested helping me with this issue @frostycab I will take you up on your offer maybe later down the line, I am very nervous in talking to people, and especially so when I am making myself look like a rookie idiot Toni -
Hi All, I can't for the life of me find or remember which file or line you have to modify by adding '= true' to, so that when you hover over a action in 'Control Options' it shows you the command and device id I know it is a lua file some where, but damned if I can remember which one it is. It is obviously a generic lua, and not module specific, as once you have added the =true to the one file, it shows for all aircraft Thank you Toni

AH-64D Apache - Issues with pitch as 'Pilot'
Toni Carrera replied to Toni Carrera's topic in Controller Questions and Bugs
@frostycab Firstly, thank you for taking the time and effort to produce the trk files for me, as well as such an informative post Secondly, do not worry about being condescending, did not even occur to me that you were being so, therefore I guess you weren't in my eyes. As far as I am concerned, you can treat me as if I were 10. I am about 40 years older than that, but I would take advice from a 10 year old if it were relevant. I have no ego to bruise. I guess it is just frustrating that I can fly the UH-1 and the SA-342 without any issues at all, which is what led me to my comment about feeling like the Apache is out of control, and something in my setup is very wrong. I have got use to the collective and yaw, and that annoying flight characteristic where all of the sudden, ever though you are not minimums on the collective, you seem to lose all list, and she starts to drop like a stone @Zap921 I too thank you for your detailed and lengthy response, Looking at it from the perspective you applied to my brain, I can see what you mean, however, there does seem to be 'some' correlation between the cross and the dashed line, albeit not an official characteristic, but if I manage to keep it on the line, with virtually no other input, she will maintain a constant speed, within a few kts either side, when down around the 40's to 60's I have downloaded the tracks, and will watch them both tonight, if I can keep my damn eyes open, so it may be at 7am tomorrow Again, thank you both for your inputs and the efforts you have made on my behalf. I will report back when I have seem that which needs watching, and have some decent to say Toni
