  1. Native AND English (preferably with an acted native accent), selectable from Options menu. Absolutely nonsense that to play a game I have to understand russian, likewise it makes no sense that a russian guy must speak english to play this sim. Probably more than half of ED's market can speak english.
  2. That's why, in my opinion, a reset trim button makes sense, even if it doesn't exist in the real plane. Center the stick and reset trim. Somehow the shortcomings of simulating a real aircraft have to be addressed. We're not feeling the forces on the stick and the position of the stick doesn't correspond to the position of our joystick unless there's zero trim.
  3. Same thing on the Sabre
  4. I found that the shadows casted on the canopy, when seen from inside, are way too dark. It shouldnt be like that when casted on a translucent surface. I checked in other modules (Su-27) and the effect is not that dark. Similar thing happens with the reflections. Maybe is still WIP and needs a bit of adjustment. Also, the canopy seems to be a bit darker now and visibility is not that great.
  5. To late to enter for the M-2000.....
  6. You said you did some hours in the A-10C! Do you mean A-10A from Flaming Cliffs or the stand alone A-10C? The key for the stand alone A-10C (IIRC) will work for DCS:World, so you may already own the warthog!!! Sorry if I didn't understand correctly.
  7. Nice one DarkFire. I guess is trial and error. An then some educated guesses. I wonder how they do it in RL, if they have charts or something.
  8. Think it this way: "STEP ON THE BALL" so if the ball is to the left, you apply left rudder. Also you may want to modify the in game rudder curves to avoid that crazy yaw, making them shallower closer to the centre. Most of the times the amount of rudder required to keep the ball centered is minimal. Saitek rudder's center stop doesn't help at all when minimal corrections close to the centre are required, you may want to try and remove the stop. There's a tutorial somewhere in the forums, if you don't mind to fiddle with your hardware, you may try to do it, it helped somewhat in my case. Then, for practice, I would fly the Mustang (it can be the free one that comes with the sim!) without trimming ailerons and rudder, change speeds and power settings every now and then, the airplane will slip to one side when going faster and to the other when going slower, with the wings levelled try to keep the ball centered with the pedals. Edit: SNIPED!!!
  9. Thanks Rage, any tips you'd like to share regarding D and E?
  10. Thanks for your answer EngineerFalcon.
  11. Hi guys, I should know this by now, but I just want to make 100% sure that I am correct with this: A) If I fire more than one R-27R or R-27ER while on STT, all the missiles are supported and guided by the radar. B) If I switch weapons and fire an IR missile after a R-27R or R-27ER, always keeping the radar lock, my semi active is still supported. C) R-27T & ET are not cued by radar or IRST, so they're probably not going to fly towards the target if I launch them with override before they get a lock. D) The way to know if a SAR missile hit or missed, without seeing the explosion, is to approximately calculate its time of flight to the target and to check the radar picture. (I've found myself many times supporting missiles that already missed the target, either by overshooting it or by losing energy). E) There is no indication if a semi active missile is tracking a target or not after launch, and therefore if it still needs to be supported. Many thanks.
  12. How the flight director worked with the ILS changed in the past. I didn't read the whole thread, but this http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=70045 may offer some background.
  13. I believe that happened to me in the past. You may try to do this at your own risk: Go to, C:\Program Files\Eagle Dynamics\DCS World, BACKUP and delete the following files and relaunch DCS: autoupdate.cfg , autoupdate.dat and the autoupdate logs. I *think* that's the way i fixed it.
  14. Why didn't you ask the whole question on the thread title? Not beta, but as all in this game, still WIP (hopefully).
  15. Keypad enter resets zoom and keypad 5 centers view.
  16. That surely is a good thing!
  17. Come on guys, documents (manual and videos) and qualified testimony was obtained against the recoil, Sithspawn said that it is being investigated and that he requested some documents, please stop picking on ED and give them some time. If there's anything like "programmer's pride" as somebody said or " stubborness" as I did, keeping this thread going and going is not going to help. Let's just wait and see. Just my opinion.
  18. ..
  19. +1 And this issue is not the only example of this mindset. Think of the missile performance topic, the rocket effectiveness issue years ago, etc, etc. I guess we are the clients, and we vote with our wallets. Take it or leave it. So far I'm still buying.... :joystick:
  20. I didn't mean to use the word "stubbornly" in an insulting way. I respect a lot the work of the people that created this sim. I am still convinced that there's more evidence against than for. Why would a manual specifically state that there's no recoil and ignore any other significant force or effect in the flight? Yes, a pilot that fired HVARs would be great, need to hurry up though, they're not getting younger. How are the developers going to create sims in 50 years time? Let's find a video of any WWII bird shooting rockets and yawing like crazy and then that's it, dilemma put to rest. So far all the videos I have seen show something else.
  21. We don't see this amount of force (let's not call it recoil as it is not, but the gases pushing on the wing) even when launching a Maverick from the Warthog. At some time the effect was introduced, I don't know why, even if it is not described in the manuals or observed on real life videos. The jet of gases would pass mostly under the wing anyways. The effect seems to be really exaggerated, I don't know why ED stubbornly decided to keep it this way. There's more evidence against than supporting, the things the way they are now.
  22. Posted some time ago, not on the wishlist though: About ATC, please: - Use same unit system as selected in "options" AND state the units in the ATC messages. Or default it to knots, hPa or inHg, celsius. And use the same standard in the ME. - Use QNH instead of QFE for altimeter setting. - Have an always active a comm menu line to request weather data to any ATC. METAR + active RWY would be ideal, but at least surface wind, QNH and active runway. - Have the wind readings as FROM and not TO. And use the same standard in the ME. - Maybe, prioritizing departures may help for mission dynamics, but IRL arrivals will normally have priority.
