  1. All that, plus ordenance damage correction, fragmentation EMULATION, ECM EMULATION,
  2. Is it? Silly me. I hadn't noticed before.
  3. Not sure if it was mentioned. In the Youtube video, when flying the Ka-50, there's an important, nausea inducing flickering in the cockpit, in the sreas where the sun shines. Hopefully is not ingame and only in the video.

  5. Ok, the "play around with the value 50" part is what I meant with my question about te config file. In what file is that those lines of code are or should go? Sorry, maybe really noob questions but coding is not my thing. Thanks for the help.
  6. Thanks for the responses. Without a GUI LUAmacros is a bit cryptical for me. Let's hope somebody with more knowledge finds a way to make it work.
  7. No matter how many times I do it it Target, everytime I unplug and plug the throttles, the LED intensity resets to the 2nd notch, as if it is not saved or something. Pitty those LEDs are so bright even in te lowest intensity. Is it possible to numerically assign an intensity from a config file? I'd like domething like half or a third of te lowest Target intensity. It might be also nice to switch them on/off with the lights switch (pinky in the throttle)
  8. Hi, I bought a cheapie USB numeric pad with the intention of having a poorman's UFC. The idea was simple, plug the keypad on an USB port, launch DCS, go to options and get to key assignments for the UFC and assign each number to the keypad plus some other functions to the plus sign, asterisk, etc etc. Problem is, it doesn't work. DCS or windows doesn't see the keypad as an extra device but as a duplicate for the main keyboard's numeric pad. Is there any workaround that doesn't involve extra hardware (Arduino, etc)? Many thanks
  9. Ouch! Really sorry to read that. Where did you buy them? I'd definitely recommend Amazon. They'll take the stuff back and replace/refund the items without questions asked. They'll even pay for the return courier. They did it with my Saitek pedals.
  10. well, you'll need 3 MFCDs for the F18 anyways, so maybe it's time to buy a new set... I would try to find if there's a similar registry entry on win7 and if there is (after backing it up) try to modify it as for win 8.1
  11. It's a bit different in Win8.1 and surely will be in Win 10.
  12. Kids this days plays with consoles buddy, it is not natural to dig in 7 folders to read the basic PDF for a game. Introduce a friend to DCS and ask him how easy it was to understand how the whole program works. My manuals are sorted, in my iPad. My suggestion was not because I could't read the manuals but to improve the sim (in my opinion) by 0,00001% The DCS installer places files everywhre within the Dcs world folder so I guess there should be no problem to use a common folder for the docs, and when there's an update, replace it from that folder. Either I don't understand you or you don't understand me in this regard. Really not that important and definitely not worth 5 posts Good flights!
  13. I do realise it's a minor thing. You're right about the current structure. Maybe my issue is my OCD... I just find it a bit messy, open c/program files/eagle dynamycs/dcs world/mods/aircraft/whatever aircraft/doc to get to the first thing one shoud access when getting a module. Remember that we have been using this software for years, try to place yourself in the shoes of a new user. I don't see why the installer wouldn't be able to place files anywhere required.
  14. As the title says. Please put all the manuals (core, modules and 3rd party) in the same folder, somewhere easily accessible and visible. Digging through folders is not what somebody getting acquainted with this very complex simulator needs to do. What about a folder called, err... Manuals in the Eagle Dynamics root folder or the Documents folder? Also, I transfer all the manuals to a tablet, getting to know if I have the last versions is a bit of a mission. I know it is not something critical, but it might help the sim be a bit more user friendly. :book:
  15. WOW! That's a lot of work! And good work. So much talent in the community! I wish ED takes note.
  16. My reason to keep version 1.X.X in parallel to 2.X.X is because of the viewport exports. I don't know if in 2.X.X they're going to be handled in the same way. I just built a very basic thingy with 2 monitors, a piece of acrylic and Cougar MFDs and I am very happy with it. I would hate to loose everything the moment I upgrade to version 2. Obviously, I also want DCS 2. That's the reason I want 2 installs. Pic totally off topic, sorry.
  17. Is it known if DCS:World 2.0 and 1.X.X will be able to coexist in the same computer?
  18. DCS:Mustang provides a very visible buffet effect, if it starts to shake, it's time to ease on the stick. I'm afraid you need to get used to it.
  19. Thank you very much. It worked!! Now that we're here, and not wanting to hijack the thread, Notepad++ doesn't want to save unless I remove the .lua files from their folders. I think it is because they're nested under Program Files folder. Any ideas?
  20. Hi guys, I had no problem to set up my MFCDs but I can't make the other stuff work (RWR, CDU, CMSP). Running 1.2.16 on 1680x2100, windowed mode or not (MFCDs work both ways). Camera on Top monitor and exports in the bottom one. What am I doing wrong? My .lua is below Many thanks for your help
  21. Thank you guys for this one! 20th of April 2015 and the problem still persists. I got my HOTAS Warthog and MFD Cougar this morning and I had a sour day until I found this thread. Do you think it would be good to disable that power management thingy for the HOTAS as well?
  22. Just a word of caution: my new Saitek Pro Combat pedals came faulty from factory. I am in the process to have them repair/replaced/I don't know what yet. The toe brakes work very asymmetrically and according to Saitek's support, it is a defective unit. Overall they look very sturdy and nice, but because of the brake issue I cannot really recommend them YET. Let's see how complicated is to get them replaced.
  23. Thank you Sokol, but I don't think it's going to work because the pedals still need to move forward and backward. I guess one day I will disassemble to find out how the toe brakes are spring loaded and try to find a harder spring.
  24. A bit OT, but I guess it will improve the experience with the Saitek Pro Combat pedals. Have anyone successfully increased the tension of the toe brakes? they're feather like, I'd like to have a stronger feedback on my feet. Many thanks
