Very much so. Can't quite seem to get my rotations and finals right yet; any material on the subject would certainly be appreciated. :book: Especially with the training mission inop and the manual failing to detail t/o and landing speeds.
-
This. Actual performance depends on the type of application and implementation. Some speed up quite a bit, others are slower. As far as gaming goes (and as far as I know), no one has ever proven that there are any real gains to be had.
-
That's my point; it's a combined .exe, but since I have DX11 OS+hardware I'm in fact using DX11 instead of 10. Was wondering if it was the same for you. And like I said: it worked fine at first. It's their patch that broke it. They need to fix something, not me.
-
One of the first things I tried. Are you actually running DX11 or DX10?

There's a setting for CCRP release point calculation for LGB (I think). Toggles between "optimum" and "ballistic". Default is "optimum"; think if you set it to "ballistic", it will be closer on target if you drop it as a dumb-bomb. But seriouly; why would you? :D Changing load-out is possible in the mission-planner. Don't think quick missions give you that option, but not sure tbh.

NVIDIA 258.96 drivers watchout...
Arclight replied to Pilotasso's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Fan on my Gigabyte 8800GTS 512 failed to auto-control on any driver. Been using Rivatuner for it, never had any issues with botched drivers thanks to that. Now on GTX460, not much choice but to get latest drivers. They work absolutely fine though. The 260.xx beta on the other hand causes all kinds of issues, ditched those after 5 mins. -
Love the combat too. My biggest disappointment is that their last patch broke the DX10/11 .exe for me. Hoping next patch corrects this.
-
Same here, releasing JDAM breaks track; nothing comes off the rail and the plane ends up flying into the ground eventually. Congratulations on the sorties. Is nice when it all comes together. ;)
-
You should see "man rel" above the left-side datablock when within launch window. It's the only indication you'll get and is easily missed. Keep the weapon release pressed a second or 2. Maybe bring up DSMS page so you can see if the weapon released. :)
-
I'd say a steady climb is preferable. All I know is maintain 180 on climb-out after take-off. Not sure that's optimum climb speed though.
-
Good to know, that function isn't documented yet. Been getting around it by selecting the mark as a steerpoint and slaving the TGP to steerpoint. Just holding right might be easier.
-
Are the SAS channels required for AP? Just make sure you map EAC and enable it during start-up, then use "left throttle button" (Q by default) to engage/disengage AP.
-
Make sure "external views" is enabled under "difficulties" (options>gameplay).
-
Not sure about the first thing, but the second is definetly running around the room screaming "my head is exploding!". :D Seriously though, have a look at the manual and training missions ingame. Those still leave some stuff to be desired, but it will familiarise you with the systems non the less. Learn to start it, fly it, shoot it, in that order imho.
-
Just assign EAC to a key, works fine then. Should be a known solution. :P

You know when it's time to take a break from DCS A10-C when..
Arclight replied to HAVOC131's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
We are not amused. :glare: ;) Finally managed a good profile on X-52... all it took *cough* was configuring sliders, ministick and scroll wheel as buttons. Dear god that Hog has a lot of functions on the HOTAS. :noexpression: Oh right; you know you've played too much when you're considering a $500,- HOTAS. :D -
Noticed the object being viewed through TGP shift ever so slightly when you switch between CCD and FLIR; TGP switching cameras changes the viewpoint a little.

Wake up in the middle of the night screaming "CICU!" First thing when you wake up you instinctively feel around for the battery and inverter switches. -
If you manage the start-up and have flown sims before, you can take-off and land no problem. Deploying weapons and navigating is a different story though. :D Just got it today; know enough already to start it up properly, take-off and land. It's definetly daunting but not impossible. ;)

Only bank cards..? Technically it is; Wirecard Bank gives you online wallet and Mastercard details to use. The only difference is that the card is virtual, really... and you can't work up a debt. :D 50 actually, to make sure it was enough. But I now still have €5,- in there. Same. Got €49,- in the account, and it now shows €44,- as reserved (for payment). :) edit: I did read the terms and whatnot, doesn't look shady. My only gripe is they reserve the right to send you some offers and such on your e-mail (it's in their privacy policy). I can't give a gaurantee for others of course, but at least for me it worked out fine.
-
I feel your pain. :( But the Wirecard thingy worked out fine. Just noticed the money was added to it today and just bought A-10C. :) Seems legit enough; part of a German bank, can only spend what is in the wallet. Even if some script-kiddie retrieved your details he'd only have access to spare change (I'm not too fond of creditcard transactions on the web to start with). Now the agonizing download. :D
-
Thanks, I was tearing my teeth out over here. :D They finally release the thing you've been looking forward to for over a year, and you can't buy it because you don't have access to a piece of plastic.
-
As long as it doesn't affect the release date, I'm all for it. :D

Did somebody say stupid wingman? Might wanna work on their flying skills a little as well. :music_whistling:

DCS A-10C producer notes number one!
Arclight replied to kingneptune117's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
I think you just did. :P Oh, and: Yay! :bounce:
