  1. Ah my bad! I thought they came from the same developer. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  2. Personally I love the Syria Map, and I'm excited for Sinai since it's the same developer. A feature I'd like to see is if you could fly from one map into the other seamlessly. Marianas proved they need to do A LOT of work on forested maps. So a Vietnam map might be a while off. I mean you can drop a mk84 on a tank, but if there's a tree in the way, nothing. 3. I have random failures on for added fun, and the other day I had an INS computer failure, which obviously is Jester's department. But he said nothing, or tried to work the problem. Is there a menu option to tell him to work the problem? Like how a real RIO might reset a circuit breaker, or do an in flight alignment? If there's not, can we get one? 4. Yeah definitely a shame. The decks of the Carriers should be filled with beautiful Tomcats, and not ugly 35's. The AMRAAM used in that test was a D model though, which we don't have. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  5. Just did a quick Google, the Phoenix had an operational range of 100nm. The AMRAAM C 57nm. Even the new D has an operational range of 87nm. So at equal altitude, speed, etc. The Tomcat has a huge advantage of nearly double the range. That's IRL of course. How well the module will do, we'll have to wait and see. The big advantage in the SE will be situational awareness. An F-14D vs the F-15E would draw that level again since the D has link16 and the same radar. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  6. Yeah, no [emoji1787] The 16 has the same AMRAAM missiles, and even at altitude and speed it still has to wait after it locks a bandit before it can launch. By the time an SE launches, a Tomcat's Phoenix has already halfway flown towards it. IRL when Tomcats and SE's practiced BVR against each other, the Tomcats were only allowed to use Sparrows, because with Phoenix's, the SE's couldn't win. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  7. I'm not on Steam either, so it doesn't affect me. But I just feel it should be the same for everyone. Either charge everyone the same, or don't charge anyone anything until EA. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  8. Then they should have been smarter about it. It's not like this is their first ever module. They could've said (weeks ago), "we planned to do a 30% discount across the board, but because of (the situation at) Steam, we'd lose too much revenue. We also don't want to be unfair to the Steam users, and charge more to them, so we are setting the discount to 20% across the board." Fairness, transparency, and understanding in one little paragraph. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  9. It has a long range radar, but it's still limited to it's missiles range. So at BVR it's at a disadvantage to say a Tomcat, that can fire a Phoenix long before the SE can fire an AMRAAM. Same with any other longer range missile capable aircraft. Especially ones that are more maneuverable. The SE is a bomb truck that can self escort, but don't expect it to be a PVP king. It can't reach Tomcats at range, and it can't out maneuver Tomcats, 16's, 18's, Su-27, MiG-29 etc in ACM. It's not a 15C. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

  11. Address, pay attention to, take care of, deal with, that's what that means. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk

  13. I don't know the split. Do you? It obviously isn't exactly half. But yeah, I'm the delusional one for wanting everyone being treated equally [emoji1787] Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  14. Charging half your customers 10% more than the other half is good business sense? That's new. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  15. It's not about $8 It's about principle. Why should the Steam players have to pay more than the stand-alone players? There's only one reason, because RAZBAM wouldn't get enough money from their Steam sales. There's a word for that. Greed. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  16. Either your hardware is too old, or your settings too high. VR runs fine if you address either of these things. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  17. Until the module gets released Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  18. I guess you can't tell the difference between 20% and 30%. It's not even about that, for me. It's principle. AFAIK every other module has always been able to be pre-ordered on Steam and Stand-alone. And the ONLY reason this one isn't, is greed. I don't even use Steam. But I'm skipping this module on principle now. 2023, the year of the Phantom. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  19. Yup. Service quality. You said it. Where's that service quality for Steam users and people that want to use and accrue ED miles? Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  20. Greed before (Steam) customer satisfaction. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  21. Stuff like this makes me think I'm right on the money, although it will never be admitted. They want to maximize their income, which the F-4 would definitely diminish if released simultaneously. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  22. So greed over customer satisfaction then. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  23. Yeah I alluded to that earlier on in the thread. Heatblur has said they don't care if the modules release simultaneously, but RAZBAM hasn't. They could very well be wanting ED to delay the Phantom's release. I have no proof of that, but I wouldn't be surprised. However, if that is the case, I'd be pissed. I have no interest in the Strike Eagle, so delaying the Phantom for that sole reason would "punish" me and people like me, who have no intention of buying the Strike Eagle. Again, I have no proof of that. If the Phantom is ready, I'd like to see it released. Regardless of timing of other modules. If it's not ready, it's not ready. But since a 2022 release was targeted, it can't be that far off. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  24. Probably because they're a lot easier to fly. Everything takes more skill in a Tomcat. But it's also much more rewarding when you get it right. Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
  25. JAG was a good show, but Rabb landing a Tomcat from the backseat was cringeworthy to every Tomcat fan [emoji1787] Sent from my SM-G960U using Tapatalk
