Just as I was to download the patch... I see this. Been waiting so long, anyone else confirm?

(Sorry mods I couldn't figure out where to ask) Quick question. I just purchased and added the M2000 to my collection, it seems the startup training gets stuck on the step to tune the comm radios And request Startup. It will not advance. I read they may have updated the radios but I am running 2 patches behind the current build. Is this a known problem or am I doing something wrong?

The update has been setback until tomorrow 03/20. It seems they are working hard on something, hopefully this restores performance!

Are we realesing a patch today or has it been pushed farther back?

I think most of us serious pilots will be happy to wait a day or 2 more for better results. I'm interested in knowing some of the details (in layman terms) of what the cause was for the performance drop. This was actually what I was looking for yesterday when I posted the topic about a status update. As per the use, it seems alot of people have misunderstood my questions and intent of posting a thread. Was it mainly a memory leak? Or something caused by bad cpu allocation? Just curious to know what caused such an uproar. Side note, i'm finally gonna be adding the one elusive fighter I dont have... the M2000! I waited since xmas for that one.

An Update On The Update, Too Much..? (Edit: This was closed in 30 seconds of me posting. Have I violated some rule as to asking for an update?) Just looking for an update Hello friends, If your anything like me, then your DCS has been broken... For awhile. The FPS has been unusable and when you revert back 2 patches other things go broke...And the FPS is still hit or miss. You've probably been on this site... Everyday. Asking yourself 2 questions: "When will DCS be updated!?" And "When will I be able to buy toliet paper again!?" Perhaps your not like me, but there are alot of us out there. It would be nice to let us few know whats going on. Tell us kindly, what are you working on? What has ED noticed about the fps problem? Will there be an update? Whats being fixed? Is the Smegllydoodad interfering with the softwares watchamacallit? TELL US! Please ED, Some of us may be in the dark on basic home necessities right now, that dosen't mean we have to be in the dark on the status of a DCS fix too. Lovingly, Fang

I just want ti second that this has been a problem for me as well. Ever since the last 2 ypdates, even after reverting back, DCS has been broke .

Thank you for the detailed resonse! I am still a little dense on this. I have the import F10 menu checked, is that what you mean? Is it possible to program it so I can say "Uzi 1, check in" and it activates the f10 combo?

"Strike Fighter", for the FA-18 is literally one of my all time favorite missions ever. I would love to see a campaign based off these podcasts!

Hello all, I am still new to VA, Viacom and VP, but I am starting to iron out the wrinkles I have been having with the software. I have paid for all the licenses, and I have a few basic questions; 1. I am mainly experimenting with VA in the FA-18 Red Flag Aggressors campaign. I don’t know exactly how to check in and use the F10 commands. I know how to use the f10 menus by saying the numbers but I unable to “Fence In” Any idea on what I should be saying? Perhaps I have the wrong comm channel? 2. My wingman ”Uzi 2” asks me to copy (Again f10) how do I acknowledge him? Nothing works but I noticed for some reason when I say “Status” I get the “copy” that Uzi 2 is looking for. Basically; “Status” = ”copy” “Copy”/“Uzi 1 Copy”/”Uzi 2 copy” = nothing 3. At some point I got a message in VA about needing a license for Super Carrier. I actually am EA for Supercarrier, what is this? 4. Lastly commands via default settings are intensely choppy. For example I have to say, “Nellis” --wait 3 seconds BEEP --Then -- “Uzi 1” wait 3 seconds BEEP - -Then—“Request Taxi” Then roughly 3 seconds it executes. Is this normal? Just an update. After several without DCS and half a day downloading, I have reverted back 2 patches (41964?). It seems to have made DCS playable again. It is not as good as it was before the 2 updates (choppier) , but it is functioning. I also had submitted a ticket regarding the fps, and have already had a good response from ED. Nothing specific but I figure maybe I can submit some files or help via the ticket. If anyone else's DCS is broke perhaps a rollback to 41962 is in order. I tried, DCS repairs, cleaning files, drivers, Bios update and Clean update of Windows 10. These helped a little with smoothness and small fps increases but reverting back was the only solution. Make no mistake, some may have been lucky with last 2 patches, there is still a major problem being experienced by VR users. Apparently I hear from above server traffic has been lower. If this is indeed the case than its quite possible there are more out there with this issue not reporting it. Thanks for the help all

I rolled back 2 patches (41962) and this has for the most part resored FPS. Its still a little more choppy than before somehow, but its workable. 1000% Night and day difference. Basically DCS works again.

Thanks BigNewy. I think most of us Sim vets are standing bye at this point. At this point I think comments like these verge on trolling. Most of us on here seem to know what we are talking about (i.e know a trainwreck when we see one). There is no doubt there is a problem, and anyone who's been in the sim game for a few decades should know issues like these are not as simple as; "I don't have the problem so it's not a problem". Anyway, I too will continue to post and experiment, assuming it is helpful to do so. Thanks BigNewy, please ED keep us in the light on this.

Shut the front door... Can that be confirmed? Based on the fps hit sounds about right... if not 3x the polys.... I think its interesting how FPS bumps up to (almost) normal when I pause mission (esc) and look around (VR) and then unpuase it becomes a god awful nightmare I'm still waiting for a rolback patch to download.... 3 hours and counting.

Bignewy, Sorry no tracks here but specifically anything with AI and objects. I.E Every FA 18 mission for the F-18 Red Flag AGRESSORS campaign. I starts off at Nellis and the FPS is Crippled on tarmac. Go into a new one on one dogfight out in the middle of nowhere and fps is "meh" ok. Strangely when I sit on Tarmac during the Red Flag campaign and I press escape Fps bumps up. Unpause and DCS is broke
