  1. Haven't been part of a squadron since the MS CFS II days but would probably join a virtual MiG 29A squadron. On the wrong side of the world though.
  2. I hear you on being competitive. I fly the S version mainly and have recently used the A version to get ready for this. I find with the A its launch/hit/miss and run. Especially when its 1 vs 2. In the S you can be more aggressive, but you still have to know when to bug out. I'm still going to get it regardless. I just hope the number of purchases is high enough to make ED give more attention to Red.
  3. I've been waiting over a decade for this. I really want the S version. Hopefully with enough purchases of MiG29A, ED will develop that as well. Definite buy for me. Now it's time to build a new PC
  4. It seems to me that the shot of the nozzles is of the new 3D model. Different colours to the FC version. MiG29S anyway.
  5. Does this mean I can't install any Razbam modules I have purchased if I build a new PC or install a new OS?
  6. I'd be happy with a MiG29S first. Damn it, if they can do an F35 they can damn well give us a MiG29 with some actives. Btw I'm going crazy. It seems like every update ED does there is a change in the FM of the MiG29. Before the latest update muscle memory wasn't working when it came to doing smooth landings now it is much easier.
  7. Which model MiG29 are you using? It is working for me in the MiG29S online and offline.
  8. Fair enough still find it weird that there are separate keys for weapons jettison and fuel tank jettison. I haven't tried this with the MiG29A. Will give it a go later today. Thanks for the info.
  9. I flew my first online ground attack mission in the MiG29S and I loaded out with centreline fuel tank, bombs, rockets and a couple of r77s. Did my ground attack and wanted to ditch the rocket pods. Pressed weapons release and my centreline fuel tank got released as well. Is this normal? Still had plenty of gas left in centreline.
  10. Damn only two months to save up for a new build. Was hoping it would be after tax time.
  11. The page for Afghanistan Map on the DCS website is in Italian for the English version of the site.
  12. It seems to me that it used to be easier before the latest update. I feel like ED are making changes to the FM but not announcing it in the update notes. Anyway, one thing I keep in mind is to reduce focus on hitting the numbers and just fly the plane. For me the 260-270 km/h touchdown speed is for a low fuel aircraft. In the Mig29A final approach instant action for the Caucasus the aircraft has 3000kgs of fuel. I've attached a track I did today from that mission. Constant trimming and power adjustments are required but it is possible to do extremely smooth landings in favourable conditions. Crosswind landings are a bitch though. Rudder authority is so strong. 13. I think it's time I stopped flying the MiG29s and start flying the MiG29A or MiG29G. Start getting prepared to die, a lot.
