may I suggest a few things : 1. Get Symantec Ghost or Acronis True Image. This way you can restore your HD to the time of your images creation. This has saved me time and time again. 2. Create a new XP CD, slipstreaming SP2 into it. Hence it will be SP2 at time of install.

Vertical sync.. it forces your monitor to a synchronize with the video output frequency from your Video Card. Otherewise "tearing" will occur with quick movements. It's necessary for TrackIR users and LCD monitors. I always have it on since the the performance degradation with it being on is not even worth mentioning. (refresh rate is limited by your monitor spec..) It will be in your Nvidia control panel.... (somewheres......)

thanks for the input guys... ..as for clipping the lights, I think it enables fog/mist to cover the lights and distance parameters outside the limits of your slider choice...

VM, ...from my work PC it appears and loads fine... what kinda of error are you getting? Site doesn't exist error? Formatting error?.... (browser specific??)

the problem here is the view restrictions when you turn your head. it's too limited and doesn't simulate "somewhat" of real life movement. I've set my view limitations to show a quarter to half way into the pilot seat to accomodate for this limitation. The F4 view take you outside of the cockpit...

I posted this pic a while back.. (http://www.af.mil) and weekly photos.. march. which is cool ( i think), but when you click on the link in from the USAF site.. it's a large, blown up photo.. look closely at the frame and under the wing...and the fuselage. There are zigzaging seams showing thru the raptor's "skin".. cool looking.. but the thing is.. zoom in the front jet, right wing... it looks like ET! It is clearer if you go to AF site and click on the the thumbnail to view the 2800x2800 (or so) photo.. It look like a indepedance day alien.. this is proof that the raptor is superior and made by aliens...!!! :lol:

You probably heard this..but for others... The 18 broke flight engagement rules during this exercise and this is how this came about... (reported on other sites..from (can't remember right now) a 22's flight chief or a retired instructor pilot....)

if i may interrupt... The suggestion that only a bunch of 22's against 1000 SU's, is frankly a fantasy senario. what your forgetting is , if there is that many SU's to take on we can pretty much be guarenteed that there will be an abundance of 15,16,18 ...etc etc..to work as a team with the 22's to them pick them off. Lose a 15, 16 , 18? Yup.. quite possible.. Lose a 22? Don't think so since it can always keep out of visual range of any other adversarial aircraft out there, it will spoof anything but the hand of god..and tell the 15, 16, 18's where to lock their missles......all the while the 22 is 50nm away and out of danger. there is just noway to beat this senario. Until Russia comes up with a 22 counterpart..is just not going to happen..

My info on this is quite the opposite. The 117 is being phased out becasue the Raptor can do / will do the same job and makes keeping the 117 not cost effective anymore... I suspect it will be around until the JSF is rolled out...

just an idea.. possible to mix F4 glass....using the f4glass item to display on the touch buddy screen and we can create buttons around the image? I'm thinking either a layer on top of touch buddyor a "hole" so to speak in the touch buddy shell so the f4 glass item can seen... just thinking....
