Hey guys.. just the last few days..lockon starts to crash on bootup... after the SF checks...Lockon Begins to load the crashes with error in graphicxp.dll Yesterday this problem started and I totally uninstalled LO and reinstalled it clean and patched to current CD version. Same error. I removed my ati Cat 6.3 version and installed my Cat 6.4 version. I was able to play yesterday... Now today...same problem again... anyone...any clues?

Hitman.. you may want to change your pwr supply. Your Video cards requires 26a to run... your pwr supply of choice has dual 12v rails..rated at 20a.... ...not good. If you plan to SLI you will need 30a rails...(more than enough) *unless there is something I missed*

I've had a very similar converstation lately with this.. As to date.. there has been no proof that the ocean currents are slowing. (as far as I could find out) But I do suspect that the world governments already know (submarines do more than just plow thru the water y'know and satellites should be able to give some tell tales clues). The thing that will cause the largest loss of life will be the same old game of plausible deniablity. No scientist in their right mind is going to say the currents have stopped until there is 5 foot snow storm in Ireland/England. Weatherman will say "Freak Storm".. Their careers will be over in a hot minute and will be viewed as a "tree hugg'in wackos". As we all know, man and it's greed and stupidity has been this way for centuries.... But until there is a few Freak Storms in Europe...no one will stick their neck out.....and since politians stopped being in the human race after a few year being a politician...you can count on them to say everything about nothing on this senario. And corporations worldwide only care about the bottom line... so we can pretty much bet on misinformation until it's beyond a doubt and they can't deny it any longer. But by then... it's too late. I hope I'm retired and living in Southern Arizona by then... The thing is most people don't understand that the damage is already done. Anything we do now won't be felt for a century or more from now and may be just too late.

When I posted this thread year back or so.. the matrox dodad thinggymabob wasn't out... But I do have a concern at what vid card can operate at the 3840x1024 resolution and maintain good FPS in a flight sim. My 1800XT is can easily do this resoltion in 2d mode.. but 3d? Dunno... and what performance hit can be expected....? It would be great to know how you make out with this...

Go ahead and remove starforce (not lockon) - reboots required. (use the removal util at star-force.com) Next time you start lockon, it will reinstall starforce... and should reset. I would suggest tho you go to star-force.com forums and post to their tech support thread (or email to their support). -be specific-

oh yes.. you will my older Samsung 770tft (40ms) and a newer 19"dell with 12ms - BIG difference....

It's called tearing... Turn on v-sync in your vid card control settings

sound like normal behavior, considering the limited amount of info you gave. which plane...which campaigns / missions. Playing a campaign? - sure it wasn't designed that way? Seperate mission ? - sure it wasnt' designed that way? Since your running older version of LO...did you d/l these and are they for the newer version only? Yes.. it does make a difference. Newest version is Flaming Cliffs with patch 1.12a ..and of course the smartarss remark would be... well... duh.. water vapor dissapates! (even virutual ones) :)

as you can see... it's been just over 2 weeks and no response from ED. I think it's safe to say ... it's not going to get fixed and they are focusing only a BS.

I was a drummer for years.. my old kit was a silver slingerland with blue cad-cam oil skins and some roto toms (remember them?) .. man it was pretty.... I was doing neil peart/bonham stuff near perfect, then the grunge shit came out... stone temple pilots got famous and just about every lead guitarist I meet then thought it was "stoned" temple pilots. I gave up in frustration and picked up the accoustic instead.... Wow.. I just realized.. that was 10 years ago.....and now the only thing I know now on guitar is G, C, D, Am, F.... Guess I have to go country and learn that 'twang accent.....

when you turn your head fast.. you'll see the "tearing".... turn on v-sync and it's either gone...or majorly reduced.... it won't hurt to give it a go.. set it to always on....... and you'll see.

I've had to kill both the ini for the saitek and trackir before hand.. (if I even plugged the saitek in the wrong USB port I will have to kill the current ini for lockon to recognize it...) but I never got the activation code message because I have the CD...
