Just for fun and not talking realism, in DCS you can try to fly really low almost few feet above the ground/sea to defeat any air defence in DCS. Bring some dumb bombs and toss on them. When I got bored few weeks ago I flew a Viper online and managed to kill enemy AWACS heavily guarded by various SAM's and ships with low flying profile. The Destroyers shot at me and I didnt even bother to evade just kept flying low and succeeded with the killing. I remember Ironhand in Flanker 2.5 killed a Moskva class cruiser with dumb bombs by flying really low, dodging its canon fires impressively. Yes it was in Flanker 2.5 but I believe its still doable in DCS. Try that, should be fun lol Good luck.

Well 32Gb RAM should be enough. I dont think this is the problem. But worth a try. I suggest post your DCS log after the crash. Maybe one of mods can help you with this.

How do you guys use the F16 in multiplayer ? Do you even bother with TWS at all when more than 1 track is present ? I don't use it because its unreliable in this state. I have no idea whether its the way it is or just WIP. I leave that to the expert. I use SA mode and its much better and faster than TWS in the Viper for me. Want to shoot 2 guys? Easy, lock one guy then shoot. Wait little bit then lock the other guy and shoot. I've done it many times and got lucky. The only scenario I would want to use TWS is when I see couple of unwary guys doing close formation in combat. Bad idea IMO as it is easy target with TWS.

How much RAM do you have? Try to setup the page file manually. Search the forum as there's thread about this. It was tips from Mustang (104th Mustang), cant remember his forum name. Good luck

completely 100% agree with this. How I can tell ...well after quite long absen from "the sim that could not be named" this week I've tried it again. I was shocked with the FM. Its snappy and the roll much better compared to DCS Viper which feels sluggish like its on CAT III.

I agree with Jojo. @Thinder you're free to try it out yourself in MP (PvP), really. With all those theories on your mind. Dont be surprised if those Fox 3 fighters eat you alive lol. Dont forget make a video for it and post it here (if you can). Good luck and have fun

Talking about dissapointment I also dissapointed for DCS comm overal. Been waiting for proper ATC comm since the beginning.

Just switch to PAL mode momentarily then back to TWS. Assuming jester can detect that bandit again then you can launch your second Phoenix.

Beat their DL and radar to get close. How to do it is your choice whether by notching, coackroach tactic or use other players as a bait with guidance of AWACS or GCI. Head on is also work with heater as long as you're close enough. I know several M2K pilots do this and I was a victim of this lol. Launch magic, pop some flares to disguise the smoke then turn cold and laugh lol.

I've used it against Neutrashimy successfully. It was much better than AK version as it can be controlled to fly down low to avoid nasty Tor. Its awesome.

Sorry to necro this thread. I was searching the forum for Flanker MFD export and the result was one of this thread lol. Didnt see the date it was posted and just a little bit nostalgic of me I was tempted to reply lol.

I remember using this missile on old Lomac. It was fun and awesome along with EM version for 33 until ED removed it then Ubi forum exploded with protest. Swingkid (where's he now btw?) posted some good explanations regarding this (more or less same with Tharos post above).

Its not new and not even dramatic lol, I've seen it plenty of times both in SP and MP. I've been told that it caused by missile got notched at final moment but could not trigger proximity fused (shrug)

I've tried it and I was not happy. But I must say it was better than previous one. I gave up on this rocket anyway since Deka disabled the ability to carry it on inner pylon for realism, I respect that. I move my WMD to CBU-97 for now lol.

Its actually quite balance on fighter for both side in some mission IMO. Can I propose adding some AI CAPs (set them to excellent if it need be) when either side lack of human player ? That way for newbies/casual player hopefully could encourage them to choose the less player side.

I agree. I want to thank ED for faster loading time, nice FPS improvement (non VR), new features of hornet and Viper and reduced on lag in MP as I no longer see it even on crowded server (40 more players on GS). Thank you ED and good luck.

I don't have any FPS issue but compared to other popular server I can say its little bit lower considering not many players in the server at that time. The only new issue I have is stuttering like a pause when zoom in and out but I believe this is DCS issue after new patch. The loading time was great and I didnt see any lag. Btw, the Longbow mission just crashed as soon as Gudauta was captured. No idea if its related or not.

And to answer your question : there's no official announcement from ED about this AFAIK but I guess it is highly likely in the future. Edit : I almost forgot. Razbam is developing HiFi F-15E Strike Eagle (just in case you have not heard) You can read about it on their forum.

Amazing isnt it ? Tbh I like the previous one as it had much more speed than now and also gave a room for less perfect notching to evade it (probably). Previous one launched at 20 mil angel 20k ft still had much energy to hit compared the new one (in MP). A note, I'm not talking about which one is more realistic (as I don't have an expertise regarding this) just a personal preference. If ED think the new one is more realistic so be it, I have no problem with that.

Its funny. I recall reading a thread people complained about dirty cockpit and canopy and demanded a clean one now you ask the dirty one lol. I guess you cant make everyone happy. Good luck with the request tho. Personally I like the clean one.
